You shoot a man dead in a script and the audience doesn't feel a thing. You bleed him out with a blade and the death weighs on everybody. Back to basics. Gunfights are great, but if you want to give a death some weight, bleed them out face to face.
The best, most chilling scene out of anything I've ever seen. The fact his face did not move the entire scene really sticks with you.
