this video's from 2009... The finished product came out this year. This video was to give an idea of the tech. I can tell you for a fact that the finished one has no lag at all. I've even taken to using it as a mouse for regular desktop navigation.

So I went round my friends house, who has an Xbox, to play some Cod4. and I got my ass kicked. my point is that I'm better with motion controls, than with a controller. because you don't like it that doesn't mean other people don't enjoy playing it. And yeah, I have another console, and a PC. I just prefer using motion to pressing buttons repeatedly. learn to respect others opinions please.

Wii has less GB than a PS3 so they had to remove some killstreaks, customization options and some other stuff...If you play on PS3 i'm sure you can kill them all if you master the controlls!

@sixensent Its great, but the only thing i really dont like about shooters using this method, is when you try to turn, you have to look to the borders of the screen, if there was a second analogue stick to use as a looking tool, i think it would be a lot better, but in theory this "second stick" may sound good but in practice im not sure exactly if it would be any good in use, and possibly confusing, but may work...

This is really cool. The problem with innovation however is getting everyone to adapt so that applications also adapt. It is cool a device, but until it's more mainstream I won't be buying it. Hopefully, enough people will adopt this, and it WILL become more mainstream. SMOD for half-life 2 has a feature identical to this. if you type "smod_ro_aimmode 1" in the console in smod, then you can aim anywhere on the screen like in this video with an actual mouse.

The Wii is a lot of fun with a group and makes for a good time. As well as being the cheapest of the systems, this all explains the large amount of sales.

yeah this looks great and all, but how about some innovation/evolutionary improvements to the control scheme already standard on PC's. I'm sure my thoughts on this have been said before, but I want: keyboard w/ analog stick or(even better) analog WASD keys for movement while still maintaining the ability to use lots of hotkeys, mouse w/ POV hat/d-pad(MOAR BUTTTONS...not the mmo-mouse style) . maybe replace the scroll wheel w/ a mini-trackball or have it in-addition to.

@dariomodugno The wiimote is like that, aiming with that in resident evil was great, and you can see it being appropriated for pc shooters around youtube with zero lag and great precision. It's just about the only thing the wiimote is good for too, the aim is great but the actual motion sensing is terrible. It can only really tell whether you're shaking it or not.
