  • How much rpm? 20k?

  • @wdowa94

close to 1550 in the Rotorhead, very slow for a RC helicopter !

  • woah dude! thats so good! congrats! its so stable!!! and amazing features on the heli. Do you have any tips for me if Im gonna paint a fuselage that already has paint on it? because the type of heli which I want to make a scale of, doesnt exist yet. I wanna make a HK GFS Dauphin (Ec155).

Gotta repaint, so do you have any tips? Fabio suggested primer, but Im wondering if it would make it too heavy

  • @SamuelChung94

Hi Samuel....sorry the delay to respond, to busy working in my firm.

Thanks for your comments, indeed this heli was stable and nice to fly.

I can help you with your awesome EC155 if you want...don't worry about the repaint, if you are mounting with electric powerplant the extra weigth is not problem at all !.

I agree with Fabio about the primer, help to fix the paint and better surface to. And I recommend Varnish to !.

  • @krumrick2 Thanks Krum! ahhhh might be hard, I'm based in Hong Kong you see.. but thank you for the offer! Primer and varnish, I would definitely use the varnish for a nicer finish... just gonna sand down that primer real smooth,

  • @SamuelChung94 hi samuel. abour painting, please take a look at my channel. The white/blue ecureuil and the orange ecureuil, wich i did not like and so i have just reapinted it in a very nice yellow and blue helicopter. I started with a painted fuse from fun-key and i removed ALL paint. As a base you better use white collor. No primer needed. And yes end with a varnisch. Look at my white and blue heli. the varnisch makes the collors to come alive. Soon new video of my yellow/blue bird.

  • operation road rage

  • Hello Manuel? I have heard about your custom made multi blade rotor heads, Im working on a similar project and though not ready yet would like to know how much it costs to manufacture one, also the heli on the video does not show the rx antenna, which is a good thing, can you tell me where you hid it and still have to full range??......but the way nice flying....thanks

  • @uppermidwest67

Hi...sorry the delay, I was so sick the past weeks.

I started to make my own heads four years ago, but now I only build for my own helis, the cost become high at the moment you need expensive tools or ask to someone to make for you.

If you need any help let me know, I will help you if I can.

About the RX antena, since I started to mount airplanes always installed inside the fuselage, and never had any problem with this solution.

    Manuel

  • I want one for christmas ;) subbed

  • for of sure this video represents for me the most beautiful ever seen on youtube regarding the MD530, is was a source of inspiration for my TT Innovator when I colored it with my airbrush.

Well done Manuel, you are really very good, I make you so many sincere compliments

    Regards from Holland

    Fabio

  • @Fabio4408

    Ciao Fabio,

Sorry the long times without contact, and again many than ks for your kind words !!.

This heli is old project and my second custom made rotorhead, notye that the blades are custom made to in Wood covered with monokote, the best blades that I ever fly !!.

When you have the oportunuty to fly one penta blades rotorhead you will love it!!.

Best regards for your colleague and friend,

    Manuel

  • Really nice.

  • Do U know any like this that u can build from a kit for a little less???

  • How much does it cost? I might get one!!! :D

  • @cheddar1100

Depends on where you live, in USA this knd of heli can cost U$S 2000.00 included al you need, but need a experienced guy to mount this.

  • @cheddar1100 the fusage is about 80 to 100 dollars online

  • @cheddar1100 just get a Hk450 and put the md500 body and 5 blade rotor on it, you could build one for under $200

  • @cheddar1100 just get a Hk450 and put the md500 body and 5 blade rotor on it, you could build one for under $200 a little smaller but much much cheaper!

  • can it do 3D flight?

  • pretty landing! OMG!

    Abrazos

    Manuel

  • paint too glossy??

  • @sopress

indeed, but tis was one of my very first scale helis, todays ones I make more realistics, with lot of details, specially paint !!.

  • @krumrick2

    we need more video!

    Great job anyway :D

  • Awesome heli !

I'm just finishing a 5-blade head on my Breitling Trex600. I've opted for the standard esc, motor and 6s battery, but slightly smaller 550mm blades, but was curious as to what you've done?

  • @TINMANRACER

    Thanks Tinman,

This is an old video, one of my first flights with home made rotorhead an also custom made wood blades.

Later I opted to use carbon fiver blades 550 or 600mm, always I cut the tip of the blades to improve scale appearence, I think that help in stability too, but I don't know why !!.

If you need any info send a PM in my channel.

    Best regards,

    Manuel

  • very very nice!

  • @roberttreboranita

    thanks Robert,

This is a nice heli to fly...

  • @krumrick2 where can i buy this choppers?

  • xD yo Si tubiera 1 de esos saves como molestaria a lagente jajajaj :B o iria a las villas a poner una bomba con el RC jaja :P no te agarran mas :B

  • awesome heli man !!!

  • @pointnozzleaway

    Hi ,

take a look into my channel, lot of cool videos with multiblades helis...

  • Badass. Scott

  • That thing is amazingly stable. It's nice to see someone fly a helicopter like a normal human being and not trying to make it look like a squirrel on crack.

  • @mybleachhouse

Thanks for your comment !!!...and you are right !!...fly scale manner is better for me to !.

This is an old video of one of my first custom made rotorheads (2 1/2 years old), see my channel, only scale helis and scale flying...news every month...

  • @mybleachhouse Omg...too funny, but yet so true!

  • @johan0066

    hi Johan.

Subscribe to my channel, I have more than 70 videos and post up to 2 new helis every month, from the litle 250 to bigger than 800 size...

    Regards

    Manuel

  • Just curious,How much gain do you have to dial in to compensate for the five blade rotor with just a 2 blade tail?

  • that heli looks great! love the color scheme

  • @nightfall22

Took this scheme from photos of Chilean Army helicopter, really nice indeed.

  • Wow, how flat are those blades!

  • @lolergramCCCP

What do you mean about flat blades, I don't understand....

  • @krumrick2

    Hi, klick here...

    "RC-Heli-Action Raketen im T rex 600 scale"

  • @TheTanzmuffel

    Hi.

I see your video, I like your idea very much, i'm wait the finished work.

  • that is freaking sweet

  • @supermoncho

    Gracias Juan !!..

  • Gta tbogt

  • Where can i buy one of those and how much are they ????

  • @lmnop821

You need to buy all the parts: mechanics kit, rotorhead and blades, fuselage body Etc Etc. Then find some guy with experience to mount.

There is not possible to find one of this ready to fly in the stores.

The cost up to U$S 2500.00 all included ( just the parts, not the cost to mount and paint).

  • Nice flight! :) Can it carry 200 grams ???

  • @nen50

Yes...and even more than 200 grams...you ask because want to put a camera on it ??.

  • @krumrick2 Yeah, I got my GoPro HD today so ... What's the price of the heli? Under 100 bucks ?

  • @nen50

    hahaha....no man !!! above 2000.00 bucks....

  • Comment removed

  • my goodness its stable

  • @PotholesInMyLawn

Yes it is a lot stable and nice to fly ( I have others videos of this heli in my channel).

    Thanks for watching!.

  • good looking choppa mate:D

  • @RonRiverRat

Do it !! ...the 600's ESP is the best mechanics for an scale helicopter fuselage.

If you need help count on me.

    best regards

    Manuel

  • Put a paintball gun on it!!!

  • Very stable! Excellent. Keep practicing. :-)

  • gogu fula neno

  • wot happens when you lose control and crash it thru car windshield and chops off drivers/passengers heads...... irresponsible

  • image one of these blades will get loose... :/

  • is this a t-rex600 or thunder tiger

  • That's a model RC home run right there! This is the kind of out come we all spend the money for.

  • @briansmobile1

    I agree with you 100%....

  • I thought the funny thing was the guy on guard duty in the back ground. Flying and ship look solid though.

  • @AIRWORKSBYERIC ya, the dude on the left of the structures. He wanted to shoot it ; P

  • @briansmobile1

hahahaha!! he is a soldier, and armed to.

  • were did you buy it, is it expensive ?

  • A great Scale Heli

  • Great looking bird! Do you ever do any FPV flying?

  • Love the paint job. Fantastic job!

  • Nice model, but the camo looks stupid!

  • can u teach me how to fly the helicopter?? i cant figure it out. every time i try to fly it i broke it and replaced with another one. broke about 59 heli so far :O plz help me!!!

  • Nice take off and landing

  • Nice. I love RC's that fully replicate the real models.... 5 blade rotor head!!!

  • Nice, very nice........

  • Nice man. I've never seen a scale head on an electric before. Nice scale flight as well.

  • wow very nice. dude you handel that amzingly well. some one could have mistoke it for real at a certain point. i live in uk so it has to be in pounds but where can i get something like it?

    cherrs dude

  • @SRCleaderRAZZOR

    Hi.

This models has a lot of modifications custom made , specially the rotorhead and blades as well like other parts in the mechanics, the details and paint is also my work.

Suscribe to my channel to follow my projects,I can help you if you want to build one.

    cheers

  • where are you from?? Slovenia mybe???

  • @presnetosranje

Nooo...i'm not live in Slovenia, i'm live in Brasil, I have a client an friend in Slovenia, his pilot of real helis and like scale helis to.

Liked the video Pitss vs... I have a Pitss from GreatPlanes, really love this plane since I was a boy!.

    Stay conected in my channel.

    cheers

  • re divertido no? XD y como es gasolina o bateria?

  • ¿donde lo compro?

  • @carnivorox este yo lo construi, incluidas muitas partes mecanicas + pintura ETC ETC...si lo queres lo puedo vender para vos !!.

  • nice heli

  • @2716bd Thanks for watching !...

stay conected in my videos, always new scale helis.

  • aaaa cuando tenga la plata te llamo .

  • Cuanto te salio? xD

  • @hugo880 este heli completo cuesta cerca de U$S 3000.00

  • Good balancing.

    Nice!

  • best looking copter on you tube,,at least from the affordable ones

  • Love it! How much did it cost?

  • Do you have any stabilization electronics to do this?

  • Hi. No...I do not use any kind of electronic stabilizer system, only mechanical setup.

  • what i notice about big helis are they are a lot stable then the small ones.

  • Yes...when bigger more stable and nice to fly.

  • so this five blades means better stability? and less power consumption? please explain, nice heli hope u give it a bit more boost and manouver on next video and lets see what it can do.

  • @aminuk23 i love the multi blade heli, but i dont think it has anything to do with stability, maybe lift power but stability, i dont think so

  • sorry to respond so later.

And yes...five blades means better stability and flight time, with some modifications in the motor or in some cases new motor, but whit the original Align 75 Amp. speed control.

  • Go TC Go! Cool bird dude. The scale flight is amazing.

  • Where can you find this at?

  • The Kit is an Align T-Rex 600 electric, thge fuselage is from Thunder Tiger.

I been build the rotorhead and blades ( the blades are made in wood and covered with Monokote)

  • Oh okay. How much did it cost?

  • In USA you will pay U$S 1000 for the Helicopter Kit and Radio Battery ETC and more U$S 500 for the scale fuselage and up to U$S 800 for the scale head and 5 carbon blades

  • Wow. That is a lot of money. I might as well buy a car for this instead.

  • Nice job mate, how did you determine correct rotor head speed?

  • I'm thinking he'd need less head speed with all those blades?

  • nice

  • That looks awesome! you're probably a very good pilot, but that helicopter looks really steady.. Nice flight too, man!

  • Yess!...you are right, i'm a regular pilot but the heli is really nice to fly.

Take a look in other video with my Yellow MD with this name here in youtube: ESCALA NO IBIRA ....and this ESCALA NO IBIRA 2

  • I really admire your work! I've just started wth this hobby not a very good pilot yet but I do practice a lot on my sim and a few hover practice here and there. just doing it nice and slow. (esky coax, trex 450sev2, belt cp owner)

  • Hi Krumrick, very scale-like flying, excellent ~ may i ask if you are using rate mode or heading hold for the tail, please? Thanks

  • como mi puntuacion vale la pena verlo para principiantes

  • That heli is sweet im just new to flying helis but everyone know that the trex 600 sound great and performs well !! Good Job.

  • Hi James...thanks !!! and welcome to the hobby.

  • lovely machine

  • Beautiful helicopter and flying!

  • head and boty

i can't find it in japan.

  • Hi T...I sended a message with details and cost.

  • same heli!

  • You want the heli or just the head??...I can send both !!

  • how much is this?

    can you send to japan?

  • Thanks ---also is there any special things i should know about balanceing the 5 blades--never did 5----i can do 2 at a time---but one left?-----My plan was to weight them all the same are just put them on --New 425mm wht FG--is this ok----

  • Nice scale---i have a trex500 and 5bladed head and want to set it up only with 401gyro---question--do i need to modified the blades--such as add weight inside blades-- flatting the tips -use only wood blades---i have 430mm glass -fiber -blades i was going to use---Also from what i seen so far on you-tube Cyclic gyros seems to shake-

  • Hi...by my own experience you do not need cyclic gyros or wood blades...about the modified blades is not so important add weight, but...if you can buy Fiber Glass blades instead Carbon Fiber ones specially the more flexible ones.

  • cool! 5rotor...

  • How much does it cost???

  • nice but isn't your head speed a bit high?

  • Whattttt!....you think that 1550 RPM's is "High", originally the 600's speed is around 2200/2500 ( depending of the setup).

  • That is great! Very smooth flight. That heli looks wonderful...

  • Hello,

I here you skill making multi rotors and selling them to the less skilled - thank you very much for providing this service.

Could you make a four blade for my Innovator MD530 electric fror me?

  • very nice! 5 blades...wow

  • What a superb scale look and feel of both the heli and its flight. Congratulations. This is absolutely stunning.

  • Mint

  • wow, beautiful heli.

  • Thats awsome, 5* from me.

  • That is one hell of a cool MD530, beats mine hands down.... 5*

  • What mods did you have to make in order to mount the T-Rex 600 into the Thunder Tyger fuselage?

  • Are you using something to compensate for the fly-bar-less head?

  • Hello krunrick2, do you do a complete conversion for the T-Rex 600 to 5-blade set-up?

    Where is the fuselage from?

    Did you have vibration issues?

I have a T-Rex 600 ESP in the Funkey/Align/century fuselage and the vibrations have absolutely ruined my first attempt. Had some great flights, but vibration has gotten the better of the fuselage.

  • Did you add any additional gyros to fly the five-blade head? Thinking of adding one to my 450 size Hughes 500. Any other special setup issues? Some report they are more twitchy than the normal two-blade/flybar setup, but you report smooth flying.

  • Hi Uhrik! Not...i'm not ussing any mixer or gyros, in the big 600's or 450 size, just mechanical phasing, the 450 is really twitchy to fly when compared with the stock two blades head, but the 600's are not (specially in the five blades version alot more smooth than the two blades).

  • Thanks for the information!

  • Thanks krumrick2,

Happy New Year to you to Sir.

  • Excuse me if i sound completely ignorant here.

Other than looking extremely scale, what are the pros and cons for using a 5 blade rotor as compared to the stock 2 blade.

  • Hello Skinypost! happy new year to you!!

About your question ( and don't worry, your doubt is valid) if you look all my videos with multiblades, specially those with five blades you can see the smoothness and stability in flying and the terrific scale look when in the ground!! and there are not cons about them (well...maybe one, the cost of that set arghhhh!!.)

  • love those electrics, beautiful, flys so stable, thanx for posting

  • Hi krumrick2 i have a TRex500 where can i find the five blade set

  • Hi alain Actually I work making this multiblade sets of three/four and five blades for any size of heli from 450 to glow 90 or equivalent in electric. I just started to make for my own but a lot of people like the stability of my heads and start order. I need to improve minor issues in finishing but that don't affect the quality of flying.

  • add some real rockets on and fired it while flying?

  • I fly heading lock, and I will never go back. Revolution mix is 1980s technology. With heading-lock, windy conditions don't even affect the tail, it stays whre you point it. I've been flying RC helis since 1985. Chech out my youtube channel. I swear by the Futaba 401 gyro.

  • Hi Captain. Like I said 90% think like you!. Even in hard wind conditions the tail of my helis is's rock solid stability (Normal Mode), personally...I like to fly the heli, specially the scale ones, not leave all the work to the electronics!.

  • With Heading-hold, even if a gust of wind hits the heli, THE TAIL STAYS PUT. Flying heading-lock is more like flying a full-size heli, and yes I have flown a Robinson R-22. Why do you think all pro-pilots fly heading lock? The feel and result is more like a full-scale machine! I flew regular mode like you for years, until I realised what I was missing! Futaba 401 RULES the market, and for good reason!

  • wut do you need for the head lock? i have the futaba 401 gyro i believe in my trex 450 xl. please explain? im getting into helis and learning to fly it now by hand. lol.

  • all true man

  • That is a sweet helicopter you have there. It is one of the best looking models I have seen on youtube and I am really impressed with your self made 5 blade head!

I would love to have a model like this one day!

  • Silky smooth. Heading gyros, no doubt?

  • Really smooth, but...no heading look gyro, is a Walkera Gyro (yes! Walkera) copy of the Futaba 401 the same size and functions, and Futaba 9254 tail servo, I always fly my helis in "normal mode" with revo-mix active, is a common mistake of 90% of the pilot think that heading look is better than Normal mode.

By the way, in this heli are my custom made rotorhead, wooden blades and 8 teeth pinion, this pinion give me 25% more torque and flight time! ( the Align option is 10 teeth)

  • very nice heli what size blades is on your heli. Thanks

  • lol it would be sweet if you put some misles on it

  • there is a real project for 2009, wait!

  • pretty cool mate, always had a soft spot for hughes 500 generation! Very nice example along with some nice piloting skills, top drawer stuff mate

  • thanks! I agree with you 100% the 500's family is always nice to look at!...and flying, even if it an RCmodel !!

  • awesome

  • I really love your helicopter videos! it's amazing how u built this... it's just like the real thing... reminds me of those "little birds" used by the Night Stalkers from black hawk down... it's really beautiful!

  • Hi dendog!! and thanks for your comments!! I like the 500's because that movie, and if you remember the old movie Blue Thunder (1983)with another good scenes of dog fight between Blue Thunder and one 500's

  • what's the flight time on this one?

  • superb, very impressive.

    fair play to ya.

  • your MD530 Thunder Tiger T-Rex 600 electric five blade MultiBlade
