@ucheucheuche Well, they sell for way more with just a little metal. For a complete set with rig and all, you pay as much as $2000 and that's for a T2i, for instance, that's about $500 these days. Either way, you're screwed :-D
@zume2600 Check out the D|Mount at jag35.com. It allows you to mount a follow-focus to your DSLR without using rails. If you have any desire to ever grow or add any other accessories though, I'd recommend you just buy some basic 12" rails instead.
@Craigkc cool, thanks. unfortunately the d/focus sold out once again. i am looking at the indifocus20 mini now. have you heard anything about it? i saw a few reviews and some clips on here.
@zume2600 I have no first-hand experience with either, although the concensus is that the indi is somewhat inferior to the d|focus. You can pre-order the d|focus v3 now and get it in around 2 weeks. With Tim's ongoing turnaround time troubles at indi, it could be that long or longer before you get his shipment though too.
@Craigkc oh, i can really have one in a little as two weeks? i have no problem waiting that long. i was under the impression it would be more like two months. if i contact them would they be willing to give me a definite time when i would receive it? i really like the V3.
nice set up, thanks for the tutorial

So, if you don't have a rail system, the D-Focus won't work on DSLR???
