Pikmin 2 Speedrun - Day 1 (old)

I would love to see a Tool-Assisted Speedrun of this game ones the Emulator's TAS bugs are all not in the way. I think it would be interesting to see how one can manipulate enemy behavior, where you start and how sublevels items load.

I think Pikmin 2 is coming to the Wii in the US later this year. I'm not entirely sure, though.

I did the best run, which is possible:

8 days

201 (all) treasures

no pikmin died

piklopedia completed

no bugs/glitches/cheats used

sounds incredible, but it really works

Er, what? This is pretty much the only segment in the run that requires a lot of waiting.

Yeah, but you still need a lot of patience and precision to pull this off. Several, if most, other speedruns are not as nearly as thorough.

I heard in an interview that Miyamoto actually opposed inserting the bird's eye view in the game. he said this because he thought looking at the game from that angle gave the game too much of an RTS appearance, and he wanted the game to be as realistic as possible, and he actually favored the very close up angle. Sorry if I have any spelling erros I don't look at keyboard when I type.
