  • This clip clearly shows that the writing on the wall in the Stieltjestraat in The Hague (demolished around 1970) was wrong. It had an "I" prefixed to Q65.

  • het beste wat ooit in Denhaag gemaakt is...forever Q65

  • Led Zeppelin had the best version.

  • Great song, great band. Still awesome. Revolution best LP. Be proud to be Dutch.

  • thanx for sharing this ..awesome tune

  • It's a pity no one has uploaded yet the full 14-minute version of this amazing cover by perhaps the best Dutch blues-rock/ r 'n' b band of the 1960s.

  • Heard this in high school in the mid sixties - a school mate had the LP. Never stopped thinking about it. Led Zeppelin did a cover which was almost as good.

  • wim bieler? misschien willem bieler

  • A whole lotta Fun:-)

  • Het boek over Q65 van Pim Scheelings. Nu in de boekhandel!!

  • these guys were rad

  • In July of 1968 my father (just turned 18) boarded a plane to visit some friends studying in Amsterdam. He was about to be drafted but his comments to my grandfather on that were 'Fuck that shit!' (his exact words!). He lived in Amsterdam for 4 years. During that time he managed to purchase all of Q65's records. I heard about them by accident and LOVED them! When I told my father, he laughed and went down to the basement.....and the rest is history (sort of!).

  • 6:20 Yeah....adjust your fly Willem ☺

  • It's got little to do with beggars banquet. Both The Beatles and The Stones had access to equipment that made their 1968 albums sound very `in your face' and very thick. This stuff sounds older (actually it IS older) But some elements, most notably what they did with the reverb on the vocal only became fashionable much later.

  • Whell...what I meant ,more or less,

was the whole mood and atmosphere

of Revolution, also some Delta feel, from 5 blokes who (unlike The Stones) never sat a foot in the U.S.

Just like "Beggars", "Rev" still sounds

    fresh today.

  • I would think this sound of the song & even the vid. would influence a couple of groups that would get their start a little later in 1966: including from Britian: Pink Floyd, The Pretty Things & The Troggs; from the U.S.: The Velvet Underground & The Music Machine (I can hear the roots of the original "Talk Talk" in this song) & The Electric Prunes; and from Australia: The Masters Apprentices & The Loved Ones.

  • except they didn't hear the q65.. the common element in the bands you mention is blues, electric and distorted

  • Jay Baar died too early...does anyone know what the cause of death was?...

  • Ask JoopRoelofs. He played in Q65.

  • Holland's very own Beggars Banquet? I'd compare it to 12x5, this is better than Beggars Banquet

  • Revolution from the Kjoe was my first album and still it's one of the best.

  • Thanks FoxLair ♫☺♫☺♫☺♫☺♫☺♫☺♫☺♫☺♫☺♫☺♫☺♫

  • 3 years before zeppelin did it

  • Great clip.

I bet Jay hurt himself pretty bad by falling of that beach chair kind of thingy..

  • "REVOLUTION"

    Holland's very own Beggars Banquet.

    Better believe it.

  • This is stupefyingly tremendous of course!!!!!!! De Kjoe rule - Lenny of The Thanes

  • mean 'n' moody slow burner of a track..

    killer!!

    Lee

    Liverpool Mods.

  • great band
