  • jumpie lil bastards aint they lmao

  • can anyone answer my question please: i have a 10 aquarium with a screen lid is that good for a baby crested gecko? i want one but cant afford petsmarts prices on tall tanks which go for about $69 for the smallest

  • Ok so ive had a crested gecko for a while and the first couple weeks i had hime he didnt mind me holding him. However since that first few weeks he wont have anything to do with me and he hides whenever i am near the terrarium. On top of that he seems to be unhappy. Do you know any way i can make him like me??

  • are crested geckos nocturnal

  • @45bindy yeah

  • Can crested geckos live their Whole life on crested gecko diet?

Because I want a Lizard or gecko but my mum doesn't like crickets.

  • @CornSnake43 yes they can but if you can do crickets every once in a while thats good but they with be healthy with crested gecko diet

  • watch me vid please i need help !!!!!!!!

  • Great vid really nice gecko 2

  • crested geckos dont eat insects. well thats what it said at my pet store

  • @keannodawson1 They dont, dont listen to this guy. Crested geckos eat a "crested gecko diet" which is a powder you mix with water.

  • @LonleyTearDropz hmm try spelling right before you go mouthing off like that. and i wish i could get more animals but i CANT! money is tight. unnecessary comment. i dont support my pet smart so i dont buy there. and i actually do ATLEAST 4 MONTHS of research and test myself before i go and buy one. i actually keep reptiles for the fun of the hobby not to show off to my friends... and i learn so you dont need to act like your "cool" cause "cool" poeple dont pick fights over the internet,

  • @LonleyTearDropz he has a substrate. its paper towel he does know what hes talking about because he got his facts correct. the BABY will get stressed out if the tank is bigger and taller than that. for a baby that is a PERFECT setup. take a look at my crested gecko care if you need more information

    thanks - reptileden98

  • were is the best place to buy these and how much are they around

  • amazing gecko!

  • hes as big than my almost 2 years old crested.. guess i have a midget one, tried feeding him everything he just wont grow :(

  • please dont feed baby food to ur crestie. it will aventuly kill it so if you care about it thn dont feed it baby food.

  • Hahahaha

  • NO 00:1

  • NO 00:1

  • prees 1:00 for JUMP!

  • I have that same cricket feeder you have in the back! 0:05 The one with the tubes! Sorta orange and brownish..

  • do a new vid

  • um um um um mum um um um mum um um mum um um um mum lol

  • 30 ummms and numerous uhhhhhhs. Impressive.

  • @downthebeatenpath , if they are nocturnal...are they active at all during the day? i notice that this video was filmed during the day, but did you wake him up or are they just less active?

  • @CashSmeller yeah you have to wake them up usually, mines is active during the day sometimes but its very rare.

  • @CrestedBoa k, thanks!

  • ummmmmmm

  • uuuuuuuUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM!

  • you should put your crested in a bigger enclosure just saying no offense and that baby does not look like a baby its a juvi please research some more and a trio needs more than a 29

  • can u put 2 crested geckos in a 20 gallon tank? no heating

  • @BeardedDragon6991 that depends on there size

  • 0:01: Freedom! 0:05: Aww..

  • nice job letting ur gecko almost kill itself at the beginning

  • nice vid

  • just out of curiosity wouldnt the tail grow back or is that just a myth

  • @CutupDuke cresties won't, gargoyles will. Depends which gecko.

  • will a baby be good in a 10 gallon?

  • dont give him baby food its not good for him!

  • it's so funny how he always jumps

  • Haha funny But um all the timE!!

  • but um,.. um. , snhinff, but up, sniff but um,um

  • if they are nocturnal what would be ideal times to handle them im 14 turning 15 in september and im thinking about buying a crested/leapoard but seeing as i spend 6 hours a day at school would evening times be a good idea or daytime (because i plan on making my tame)? please reply someone?

  • @RadioheadHim It doesnt really matter and unless you have a daylight bulb in there they wont be "nocturnal" my leopard gecko comes out whenever he feels like it.

  • @RadioheadHim Like TheJokeNetwork, my leo[s] come out when they want, and I'm still in school. Leo's are fine being held at night, or during the day. Holding them 10-15 minutes a day [once they're 5"+ baby handling should be minimal] they should get tame pretty soon. They even recognize your voice.

  • would it harm them in anyway if you keep them at room temperature for there life?

  • crestie suicide at the start LoL!

  • @NicKtheGreeK1100 hahah you got 4 thumbs up for that comment!! #LOL

  • @Reptileden98 hey i didn't notice that :P i don't get thumbs up very often!

  • hi! nice video. i've heard that these geckos are nightactive and sleeps during the day is this true?

  • hi! nice video. i've heard that these geckos are nightactive and sleeps during the day is this true?

  • can you use glass instead of screen

  • Why does people feed their crested geckos baby food? Cresties need only CGD (Crested Gecko Diet). Crickets are not necessary if you feed CGD, only for occasional snacks.

  • never feed baby food always provide crested gecko diet baby food will cause permanent damage to your gecko if fed for long enough.

  • um...this video is pretty cool...um, *SNIFF* um, um, but um...

  • I just got one he is only 2 inches

  • hey were did you get that pink and green plant i cnt find it anywhere

  • Also, its great you don't use things like bark as a substrate. This is a wise move, because crested geckos really are clumsy hunters and when feeding live food frequently pick up the substrate.

Overall I think your video is pretty informative, nice attempt ;)

    Thanks for sharing :D

  • Hi,

I personally wouldn't advise using a screen/ material mesh set ups. These provide too much ventilation and it can be very difficult to control the humidity. It is possible to keep one this way but it might require a good soaking twice daily.

Unfortunately you aren't giving it a balanced diet with just crickets and baby food...Cut out the baby food and replace it with CGD. Personally don't feed crickets more than twice a week, 2-4 at a time.

Quite a nice video, lovely lil crestie :D

  • intro fail 0:01

  • any special lighting?

  • how much was that guy?

  • Hey man cool gecko! I'm getting one too and I was just wondering if I needed a heat lamp or not? Thanks

  • @BigJaneTwister nah not really, unless the temperature in the place you're keeping him in drop below 70 degrees during the day. however with mine I use a 20 watt bulb just for light so the tank looks more pleasing.

  • Hey ive just ordered a crestie it's my first reptile so any advice would b handy

  • Hey im getting a crested gecko and i have a 55 gallon tank with a heat light heat pad and stuff,By chance could i put a crested gecko with a leopard gecko?

  • @jpog1289 no

  • @dt88888d I know

  • how much in your experience would u say the total cost for caring for a crested please respond......... :}

  • its nice :) gecko i will get one,i hope yellow or orange ;)

  • how old is yours in this video? i have a 4-6 month old about the same size and i'm afraid he's way too small for his age.

  • uhhhhhhhhh.......?

  • i don't have a scale to measure them. how else can i tell their age? please respond its urgent

  • you forgot one of the most important things about cresties...they jump. hold them not more than a few inches off of a solid surface to prevent injury if they decide to do what yours did. unfortunately, you were about 3 foot in the air and he smacked the ground every time :P

  • uhh?

  • hahahahahaahah! this is a care vid and u liek throw him at the wall lmaoo

  • ive even heard of leapord geckos living into thuer 30'S

  • what happens if u drop a crested gecko egg?? will it still work if it doesnt break?? jonathans dumb as question not mine. help em out thoe.

  • @dranoer209 no the yoke sac will come of the wall of the egg and drowned the gecko

  • @kidreptiles19 I just thought I'd comment, this has been proven to be untrue. On the forum I'm on, several people have commented about dropping eggs, and not knowing what side was up and the eggs live. One guy even specifically rotated the egg around once a week and the eggs still hatched. I wouldn't advise rotating the eggs constantly, but it won't kill them if they are moved.

  • what size critter keeper is that

  • u do now leo geckos r better at handeling and entertaning than cresteis i have both

  • im getting a flame crested gecko soon

  • lol that looks just like mine. :)

  • @TheGrizbot An adult gecko needs at least a 20 gallon tank, idk if you mean adult or baby. But you need alot of climbing material and baby/ juvenile geckos should have papertowel as a substrate, so they dong accidently ingest anything that will impact them and kill them. They dont need extra heat!!

  • uuum

  • I just got my new crested gecko. i have a 18Lx12Wx20H and he/she loves it. but i think he lost his stick he cant climb on the plastic/glass sides. how can he get his stick back, please help.

  • Fag....

  • "sup youtube"

*gecko jumps and smacks its head on a table*

"im gonna teach you about crested gecko care*

    hahaha classic

  • can you handle him to death aka pick him up and stuff?

  • hey what's up youtube?? *gecko leaps off* XD for some odd reason I can't stop giggling at it.

  • what is your crested gekos name my leperd gekos name is sticky

  • where did you get the crested lizard

  • Comment removed

  • i would not feed him that many. feed every other day and on the days u feed, feed 4 crickets.

  • Could you use orchid bark for substrate?

  • I will possible get mine in a yaer at the next tinly part reptile show when today it was awesome.

  • I'm sorry but you should always have crested gecko diet avaliable for your crestie especially babys and juvies, and in my 9 years of crestie experience u should offer 2 week old crickets every day with cgd when babys and juvies but when adults offer 3 week old crickets every 2-3 day along with cgd and u can offer fruit once a month or wax worms once a month because they're very fattening and please never feed them baby food it's very in healthy lowfat sugar free yogurt is better

  • I am getting my crestie in 4 days

  • your wrong if too male lizard are together from hatchling hood they will not fight

  • hey if you all want a better care video go see speedthedragons new care vid its the best ive ever seen!

  • hoyl crap dude dont let them jump like that they will die if you keep letting them jump from that hight there frkin babies take care of him he probobly has a broken leg lol just dont let him jump from big hights it can hert him

  • @wombo772 those heights arent big, only if they jump from more than 3 ft should you be worried.

  • Hey man I need some help, Im trying to convince my mum that the type of lizards that you have are friendly but shes not convinced HALP!

  • @MonkeyBoy3000ii Don't know if I'd say friendly, but unlike most arboreal geckos, these are very dosile. Most don't mind being held if you work with them (much like you would with a leo) you should be very careful though, as you can see here, they do jump a lot.

  • your not suposed to feed your gecko crickets tell its an adult

  • give it some vines and put it in at least a 20 gallon

  • Would it be ok if I get a baby and keep it in a 20gallon high tank for it's whole life? Or should I at least divide it and only use half of it?

  • @Wannasnake use the whole tank, a 20 gallon high is suitable for 1 crestie i think 2 but im not sure

  • Thanks man :)

im thinkin about gettin one of these. Is it easy "tame"?

and is it dangerous for ti to jump like that?

  • Can i keep my crested gecko baby in a 12x12x18 cage with Subtrate in it ?Or no?Thank you

  • he is such an AMAZING colour :)

  • I love this video. I also love how this is a care video and yet your gecko slams head first into the tank lol I can't stop laughing it's so great!

  • I love this video. I also love how this is a care video and yet your gecko slams head first into the tank lol I can't stop laughing it's so great!

  • Do they need UNB and UNA ???

  • mines been spending alot more time on the floor of his tank than usual does anyone know y hes doing that

  • thats a really nice crested

  • could i keep one of thease on a heat mat only... do they need lighting?

  • @MrRavekid Acctually, scince they don't need that big of a cage, and they get stressed out if the temp is higher than 85 deggres, they really don't need either. If you have them in a room with another reptile just use the room temp from the air ventalation. And they don't need uvb or uva bulbs either cuz their mostly nocturnal. (suprising huh?) I would just take it outside every day for a few minutes if you get one. So you pretty much just need the cage.

  • @MrRavekid

They don't need lighting, and I woulden't even use a heat mat. They're pretty much ok with the temperature in your house.

  • can i find a crested gecko for 15 bucks at the expo

  • @reptilesnfoods yeah idk wat i was thinking lol if i was to ever get more cresties i waould have 3 max per tank lol i think i commented on a late night :p

  • how can i keep a cressted gecko at the correct tempature, during summer or winter?

  • The beginning when he jumped that was Epic

  • can you still house a 3-6 month crested gecko in a 12x12x18 zoo med terrarium with some plants?

  • and can I keep 2 cresties in a 18x18x24?

  • wow is he jumpy haha nice gecko man

  • lol 0:01 so cute

  • Escape plan: fail!

  • My crested baby looks almost exactly like that. Great care video too.

  • you should feed him crickets once a week and CGD 6 times a week.

  • HELP ME! after months of research I have recently bought a crested gecko at an expo. it is about 3 months old and i have him housed in an 18 x 18 x 24 exo terra. i have only had him for two and a half days and i am trying to feed him repashy CGD but he doesn't seem to ever eat it. i feed it in a bottle cap however he doesn't eat it. i realize it is not uncommon for them to not eat for the first week in a new enclosure but it still worries me. ANY TIPS PLEASE?

  • keep offering him the CGD he will eat it sooner or later. Put some on his lips let him lick it off. You got to train him to eat it.

  • @tony77tony77 thanks a lot man, i got him eating he was just adjusting.

  • @pbdude725 Congrats,! like other assholes, you'ev bought a REPTILE, only thing is your an asshole cos you CANT EVEN FEED IT,research my ass.

  • my crested gecko always jumps

  • u stink

  • I probably wont get a lot but how many can stay in a 38 gallon?

  • @sprodude u cn have, i would say max 6 MAX but i mean, no males together, so max it would be eaither 1 male and 5 females or 6 females, but that is my opinion.

  • can you have male and females permanetly living together? or do u need to have seperate and put male in when u want breed?

  • you could.. but its not the BEST idea, because the male could over breed the female causing impaction. although its likely. so yes.

  • can you have male and females permanetly living together? or do u need to have seperate and put male in when u want breed?

  • oops, sorry... you already said that

  • your probably gonna want a 20 gallon tall... not 10 gallon.... cause when they get full grown they need that much space.

  • He sure likes to jump

  • ya i just got mine today but mine is way smaller

  • whats oborial?

  • means they like to climb on things, and rest in virtical places. geting up off the ground

  • "arboreal" means 'tree dwelling'

  • tree dwelling

  • Arboreal = They live up in foliage and trees. They go on the ground rarely. In the case of Crested Geckos they go on the ground too feed on overly ripe fruits.

  • aborial is when an animal mostly lives above ground like in trees, more than on the ground

  • nice flame morph crested gecko.

  • I'm not dutch faggot

  • hahaha

  • That's right, learn the basterds what they need:)

    Don't care about that yerk:)

  • @downthebeatenpath well if your not dutch your not much ha

  • can 1 crested gecko live its entire lif in an18x18x18 tank?

    how about 2?

    please reply

  • can ther tails grow back

  • no they can not regenerate their tails

  • @StrikerZ300 i hear if you hybridize crested geckos with another type their offspring are crested with the ability to re-grow their tails WOOT!

  • @StrikerZ300 no they cant sad i know

  • i got my 12 week old in a exo terra 18x18x24, but put about five bottle tops with food in, seems to be loving it, and is eating the food too, as long as theres enough food put around they will find it , and have a good sense of smell anyway so will sniff it out, :o)

  • its not just about finding their food when their tank is too big they burn way more calories than they eat therefor its really hard for them to gain weight

  • good point, but like i said i put plenty in so it can be found, still doing well and growing :0)

  • that lizard looks so cool.

  • what morph is yoyour crested gecko

  • Pretty sure it's a red flame, not 100% positive though, will be able to tell for sure when he reaches adulthood.

  • @downthebeatenpath If I Should Tell you the morph Ill Say like 60% Flame and 40 % Harlequin

  • what does oborial mean?

  • Arboreal means they are tree dwellers, terrestrial means they tend to stay on the ground.
