@Tanzanite800 The princess was Caroline Stickney, widow of Joseph Stickney the man who had the hotel built for her. He died in the year following the hotels completion and Caroline eventually would marry french prince Aymon de Faucigny-Lucinge in 1913... hence the Princess title. Caroline herself was American by birth, born in Waltham, Mass in 1869

I love the area around the hotel, I have always wanted to stay here when I ski Bretton Woods but their are cheaper places, without ghosts.
