Hardwick hasn't seen enough Tom Baker "Doctor Who". Tom Baker was naturally eccentric and quirky. He also adlibbed and came up with much of his own dialogue. That's why you have those wonderfully silly, sarcastic remarks in his stories. Don't forget that voice, image, and facial expressions.Tennant was just ripping off Baker but he was acting and Baker wasn't.He was being himself and there can only be one.I don't think I've ever met a guy familiar with Who history that said Tennant was his fave.

There is truly only one definitive Doctor and that's Tom Baker. Everyone else who has played the role has paled greatly in comparison. Diehard "Who" fans know this obvious fact. After all, I have only shed tears for one regeneration scene and that was when the 4th Doctor parted. Plenty of good reasons for that too.
