What are you you talking about? Chicago did too go dark, are you serious? Maybe street lights didn't but also I had friends dining out in Evanston which had candlelight for their dinner. Deviliciouslous whatever you are. You don't have your facts straight. Chicago definetely did participate. And if you don't believe so, then go Fuck yourself.
It's techniqually called the climate crisis, since there isn't much of a warming effect except toward the poles.

And even if "Global Warming" isn't real, what's wrong with turning off the lights that you don't need? Oh, right: nothing. Save some energy, save some money.
Some day people are going to look back on global warming propaganda the same way we look back on people spending millions to get ready for Y2K. Showing photos of hurricane katrina with a relation to people turning the lights on is a scream.

w/e ass holes, Canadian pride untill i die! MOST not all of you yanks make me sick someone should blow up times square that ugly piece of shit , earth killing piece of shit!
Way to make Canadians look like the bad guys here dumb ass! really, you saying all this shit and what have you done made us Canadians look like bad people! seriously!
You should be disappointed at yourself, for feeling like that after taking part of such a beautiful event. Isn't the point of all of this, to unite people of all walks of life, and encourage them to open their eyes to this reality that's affecting our lives and that of this planet ? Or is it an excuse to hate canadians?... Big hug to all those fellow americans who did turn off, regardless of the city governments' participation in this.
chicago didn't do shit fucken lazy Americans , i'm proud of the Australians, very proud they showed the most support, chicago looked lit as always New york city didn't even join, which is a huge disappointment being they use a shit load of energy, and i'm proud here in Toronto the lights did go off in the cn tower and at dundas square (which is our version of times square n.y) really disappointed though at america
It was beautiful to see that hundreds flocked to chicago's lakefront- even though it was freezing cold out there....sadly, nothing happened.
Big salute to all the individuals who did turn off...ohh, and to the city government who in this case only turned off-the antenas on one of their towers...maybe next time.
Where di you get this video?! I saw it at the Feb 15th press conference at Navy Pier and I have been looking for it ever since. It is great! Thanks for posting it. I will spread it to everyone I know.
Let us support every movement that would help prevent global warming. :)

Earth hour is BS. Global warming is BS. We have had one of the coldest and snowiest winters up here, and last winter wasn't a picnic either.
Al Gore, I want my Global Warming. I want a refund for my carbon credits.

WOW!!! Google has a black version called: clean black [dot] com. It saves energy as it uses a black background. Similar initiative as Earth Hour!
