Thank you for showing this, after you showed us the house thing and hwo grandpa doesnt like to climb stairs I thought hmm no he would rather take an elevator, haha thats how I remember but thanks :)
Exactly. On the one hand, you need a way to get to the answer without having to "just memorize everything". On the other hand, you don't want to have to "think" about it everytime you want to play another note. Without the former, you are helpless without a teacher. Without the latter, you can not play fast pieces in tempo. In order to be able to do both, you learn both. Thanks for the comment.
OMG OMG holy crap,,,i JUST GOT IT,,i am a trombone player,,but i just totally got the whole valve system and how it works,,that is so genius,,LOL i think i can play valve horn now,,you are so awesome thank you@@
Then you are the reason I made these videos. I started out as a trombonist, so we have that in common, and always wondered what those guys pressing their valves knew that I didn't. Turns out there's a simple system behind it all. We just have to look, I guess. Thank you for your kind words.
Thanks! I am very glad to hear that the videos have helped you with your progress. And thanks for the comment about the repetition. I try to keep the repetition to a minimum, but as it is my goal to make the videos understandable to a viewer with no prior knowledge of the subject, this is not always possible. In any case, thank you very much for the feedback. I will certainly keep it in mind in the future.
Damn, I thought this was a potato.
Anyone else sad that the Grandfather was depressed @ 5:36. Hopefully a bit of knowing will cheer him up.

Is it good to have little dings (dents) on you instrument? How much can in hinder you tone?
Morahman7vnNo2 2 years ago
I certainly would not say it is a positive thing to have dents. Having holes in your instrument would be worse, though.
PianoWallaby 2 years ago
Yeah, but saw you had what looked like a new one in a later video. That must cost a pretty penny!
Morahman7vnNo2 2 years ago
You are right about that...

At least you weren't trying to buy Baritone!

The longer, the lower. I wasn't high, I was just playing an open fingering. :)

Very cool, easy to take as a concept.
I appreciated also the video-interactive link to get back to the other video.

I am glad you liked the video. So you think the links are a good idea, do you? Maybe I will do more of them. Thanks for the comment.

hey where does that smile comes from ? :)
oyokozuna 3 years ago
The smile at the beginning comes from the [funny] comments I have gotten about the beginnings of my videos. Thanks for asking!
