The people of this city voted this thing into office, they deserve everything they get. If you don't want creeps like this to have access to your kids while you're at work DON'T MAKE HIM MAYOR. The people of Silverton, Oregon care nothing for their community or their children. The guy has TITS, you vote him into office, then you complain about what he's wearing? This has got to be the record for mass stupidity in one town.

Being born a boy is not a birth defect. There are no chromosomal/hormonal abnormalities present. No one has ever found a "female brain" in a male babies head. Acting like the opposite gender is a mental issue. End of.

Regardless of its a mental health issue or not. In Ontario Transsexual people are protected from discrimination and harasment under the (HRTO) Human Rights Tribunalof Ontario and (HRC) The Ontario Human Rights Commission under the ground of sex!

Also, im so happy trans people are protected from discrimination under the HRTO and HTC under the ground of sex and that we can sue people. Neither does transsexuality. That is a symptom of our sociocultural environment, and it is a personal choice that each transsexual makes. Which is beside the point, because Stu isn't transsexual. It isn't 'most doctors', either; you clearly misunderstand how the DSM is constructed.

@Hexydezimal Care to provide links to back that up? No I didn't think you could. No one has ever found a "feminised" brain in a male baby's head. Genital tissue is extremely sensitive to hormones. It is impossible that ONLY the brain could show similarities to the opposite sex and the genitalia is indictive of a healthy, non-intersexed baby. Transsexuals take cross-sex hormones to alter their brains. Look for yourself at Youtube vids by them which talk about congnitive changes.

I posted it on your user page. More than enough feminized brains have been found in male heads. It is not impossible because the genitalia develops at a different stage of the pregnancy, genius. A female brain is the default pattern. Hormones will alter the brain, but it won't make the brain female after the fact and doesn't explain why we feel the way we do from childhood. Many of the studies there are independent of hormone usage. Hate to tell you, but you are being a bigot.

As a side note, only transsexuality has this kind of accumulated proof. What Stu does with cross-dressing has no such thing so far, and is likely based on this sociocultural environment. That is, the taboo on wearing female clothing is what likely drives men to cross-dressing escapism through it. We're not out to have big tits and miniskirts. We operate as the opposite sex we are in our brains; nothing more and nothing less.

Nope. The hormones are taken for a variety of medical conditions. Testosterone is taken for everything from osteoperosis to anemia mitigation. The control group in the initial study was all people who were taking hormones for reasons unrelated to gender identity disorder. NONE of them had the targeted brain structure at standard female size. 66% of the transgender people measured had sizes consistent with their perceived gender (rather than their birth gender). So basically you're lying.

Look the truth is in Canada and the United States trans-gendered people are not accepted. I have seen 60+ year old extremely obese women wear worse. The outfit while I would not wear it, is no different than what any of my aunts would wear at a picnic. He was not greeting the president, just a local youth leadership convention. looking at the people in the council chambers the" youth's" are probably 40 to 60 years old. Silverton is pretty well a description of its residents
