I think it's great, and have doubts about the sophistication of those who assume anybody familiar with the text MUST share their own negative opinion.
I did some searching and I found the credits to the production of the video; the music they used was a made to order sound track by a commercial music company called Amber Music.

This is actually offensive to me. Not so much to the point where I would lambaste it, but to reduce one of the most powerful works of Mystic Poetry from the Gnostics.....to fucking Commercialism...it seems those clay pots would have been better off staying under the sands.
it has nothing to do with the perfume as such, its a whole concept behind it which is to overall promote prada. thats why all the clothes in the ad are pradas former collections etc. the poem was just an addition to perfect the concept behind a very specific style image!:)

to all the people who believe that prada is defiling this text: "Why, O you who hate me, do you love me, and hate those who love me?"

Reading it for Prada? No, not for me.

well the worst is that they're using it to sell a product.
"Thank God a Gnostic text was found, we can sell more bottles of perfume now" -.-

a pseudo artistic video reciting a gnostic text is so tacky... those who are sophisticated enough to understand this gnostic poem will agree.

Agreed!!!
This is offensive! I can't believe it.
This poem could make so many incredible short films, and they come up with this????

I wholly agree! This is exactly the worldy crapulence the Gnostics warned against! Those of you who like adverts - read the original!

It is most definetely Daria's voice. :P
KooshieAlmond 5 years ago
I could be wrong, but I doubt that they used Daria's voice on this, it's very rare for a model to actually speak in a ad
exec204 5 years ago
no it is Daria's voice and it is not rare to put models voice in perfume ad, actually is a common things to do, especially in Dior ads....
