quick question. How has the rapids mini canister been working for you. I have been looking in to it for my 10g reef setup and would like to maybe buy this over the marineland hang on magnum since it is much cheeper.
Awesome! What do you keep your pH at? I know the Tylos need a bit higher, but yellows can only be up to about 8. Also, have you ever tried keeping any of the higher pH shrimp?
@fathomX9 Your right, Ph was 8.0-8.2 and tylos did well. Actually, I keep them in ph 7.6 but with high temperature and they are fine. Yellow shrimps don't mind high Ph.
Yes, I have cardinal and yellow noses and six-banded sulawesi shrimps. Check out my other videos.
Cant keep my hornwort in good condition. It keeps growing and growing but after some days the leaves fall. All my hornwort are naked in the bottom and only have full stems from the middle and above.
@VeryBadReputation It can be because you don't have enough light for it or because your hornwort has used all nutrients from the water. You can add some nutrients (macro-fertilization) or just change water regularly.
is that the fry from your other fish?

@fathomX9 I use coral chips and add minerals that increase hardness of water. Yellow shrimps are hardy they can handle higher pH, no problem.
I do keep sulawesi shrimps, check out my other videos.

@chripranqe It's 'Tom Rapid Mini Canister Filter' This filter is rated for 20 gallons. Usually I attach a small sponge filter to its intake.

@igorKanshyn I thought the same thing about the nutrients. I do alot of water changes and the water is from a R/O so... no food, no grow.

Any advice on how to keep marimo moss balls happy? XD
mercedesff2 10 months ago
@mercedesff2 Use a low light, keep it in a clear tank, this balls easily collect dirt. Keep it a cool aquarium, this makes it greener.

protocl 1 year ago
do you add sea shells to help bring calcium to help with their shells?
protocl 1 year ago
@protocl I use crushed corals as a gravel. They add calcium and bring GH up.
This also help me to get high pH (8.0-8.2)

Nice tank. Crystally clean and bright.
Are these shrims planctonic? Why they all are swimming?
b0k0matic 1 year ago
@b0k0matic Thank you.
That creatures in the video are not shrimps. You see 2-weeks old platy fry.
Shrimps are usually sitting somewhere.
igorKanshyn 1 year ago
@igorKanshyn Ahaha, thank for explaination :)
I have such platy babies too.
