Usually vocal covers of anything really, sounds terrible because of bad audio equipment, say a head set, etc..

I should point out that the Wizard is a raz-a-ma-tazz, P.T. Barnum circus act. He's slick, a con artist and lives to love life.

That said I love the style you sing it in and I think you have a shot at auditioning. I will tell you that in our audition process when I was w/ Wicked, we had a lot of debate over what age we wanted to cast the Wizard. Wayne wanted a 30-year-old, Steven wanted a 40-60 year-old, and Joe wanted an athletic 40 year old.

I was a pit musician in Wicked for a good year and a half. As a Broadway musician I will give you a constructive criticizm of a 17-year-old voice. In this number we look for a little less phrasing and leaps from each note. The song is styled in vaudville. It is supposed to be a little edgy and a little more energetic than bluesy.
