if you get through all 6 requirements on boss extreme difficulty.you will get a special ending and that ending you will see snake and big boss face to face.good luck bc it aint easy.one of my friends got through the game on highest difficulty.

wait a second, im really confused. i've played mgs2 and mgs3. and i know that in mgs4 snake is aging rapidly. but i thought solid kills big boss? and in the mgs4 trailer, it says snake only has 6 months. and is that solid in the black suit? im so confused. someone please help me out

From what I know, that is Solid Snake in the black suit, he has killed him before but he didn't completely erase him from history. MGS is like a cross word puzzle that has loop holes

@rydrag Snake torched Big Boss at Zanzibar, but Zero managed to recover his body before he died and put him in a state of suspended animation. Then using parts from Liquid, and Solidus Snake, Ocelot and Eva re attached missing skin and limbs. Big Boss is basicly a francenstien monster.

Because the mission that Naked Snake (AKA, Big Boss) was in was called "Operation, Snake Eater. " Thus giving it the title of the game. Peace Walker for the PSP gives you more info of really why The Boss wanted to die and how her past was basically fucked up but still loyal to the end, making her a perfect soldier. It doesn't really tell you in the story line, but though tapes that you can listen to. All in All, MGS was a great series that will always be in memory. Long live MGS!

Even though he's only a character in a game, you can't help but admire him. Even though he's fake, you have to think of him as a true soldier and a real patriot. Even with Snake's death he will be remembered as such, and will go down in history as the best playable character in game history. Raiden was also cool, but he didn't die, did he? It would have been excellent if they used the original MGS theme.

I will admit, when first watching this, Seeing Snake tear up caused me to do the same. If you recall, in MGS he told Otacon "I have no more tears to shed", and look now, with the realization that while he is a clone, his spirit and body are his own he finally sheds tears. In front of his old arch enemy! WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SUCH A WAY TO END THE SERIES!

In outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land his ultimate plan was to plunge the world in to a state of endless war, because he believed it to be the perfect world for soldiers to live in. Just because he found some redemption at the end of MGS4 that doesnt change what he did in the past.....however I agree this was an epic and sad moment, but also happy as well because as he dies Big Boss is clearly at peace having reconciled with Snake

An amazing ending. When MGS3 first came out, and I beat it I said out loud during the credits "Kojima is trying to say something here." I kept replaying the ending. Eva talking about how The Boss would go down in history as a criminal.

Then I looked at the fans view point on him up until 4. I thought."In our history [the players] he went down in history as a war criminal."

I was blown away by this ending. And I will admit, as silly as it sounds, I started to cry as soon as that cigar dropped.

Yeah, I'm kinda thinking that would be a good idea too. Telling about the formation of Outer Heaven, expanding upon Big Boss' connection with Frank Jaeger post San Hieronymo Incident. In fact maybe they could just make a game about Frank Jaeger's time in Fox Hound and how he recieved the codename "Grey Fox." It could tell of his time in Vietnam, his return to Mozambique, how he found Naomi, and even his short-lived relationship with Olympic figure skater Gustava Heffner from Metal Gear 2.
