And speaking of Halloween, or at least something remotely related, are the majority of Japanese superstitious? Do they believe in ghosts, goblins, curses, and what not? And is it true that many young people (or couples) go on "tests of courage" into a haunted-deserted locations? Just throwing a couple of questions out there for a discussion. Thanks.

@tengyang2001 not sure about the tests of courage... Japanese people do have some superstitions, such as not passing food from chopstick to chopstick, and I actually just had a convo the other day with my uni kids about ghosts and almost all believe in spirits, etc.

@profmariadiaz you could come out on a 90-day tourist visa and see what jobs you could get doing language tutoring, but you'd have to be paid cash, since you can't technically earn while here as a tourist. I doubt many language schools would go thru the trouble of hiring you and getting you a working visa for only 2 months

Welcome back! Although you greatly misunderstand englands view on Halloween, we have alot of celebrations in halloween, many parties, and all the kids dress up and enjoy trick or treating etc :)

Yay! So when asked to organize a Halloween event, do they mean as in a party or classroom activity? If it's a party how would you set that up communication wise?

@Andr3wco7 it was a party, on a Saturday, and kids from many diff schools attended. It was set up in conjunction with the local community center and International club that have these types of events thru out the year
