  • Nicely done good ride mate

  • awesom job man this hill is nog long but really hard hatts of!

  • Nice done man! A lot of people gived it up!

  • Good job! The Amstel Gold Race would be a great experience for you as well!

  • @ozmadonepro I had assumed all the walkers were from Holland. Dutch recreational riders are not exactly reknowned for their climbing ability.

  • On video, it looks a lot easier than it really is. I climbed it several times, good job!

  • Flipping eck, I have watched many clips of the flanders cobbles, but this one I was panting and breathing along with ya.... shish... Well done, I'm doing the 2011 one way hay.. (Not..

  • 25's? What tyre's? Pressure?

  • This reminds me od the two hills on my weekly ride, though without the cobbles. It gets harder towards the end, and if you lose momentum, that's it. I'd love to ride there.

  • Nice Job. I want to scream at those people to get the hell out of the way!

  • Nice Video!! Good ride!

  • Great video.

  • Nice work. You have to love Belgium: all those fans coming out to watch the punters walk their bikes up the climb.

  • Ha ha ha...I was just thinking the same thing del690. Hadn't read the comments, then saw the rider/filmer have to dodge that bike and thought, "Wow, even cyclists are acting like idiots and trying to screw a fellow cyclist..."

Ugh, normally it is just the cagers & pedestrians trying to make us crash! Talk about a party foul on that dude tossing his bike right on the pave...

  • What fucking idiot just leaves his bike laying there in the way. Some people are so stupid it blows my mind.

  • Well done, what gearing did yo use?

  • intense

  • I passed the koppenberg in 2008 with a 39x28. It was wet, then I had to sit down. It's fantastic the tour of Flanders!!

  • What's being used here, a triple with a 27?

  • No triple (perish the though), a compact if I remember, but really a double is ok as you have to sit down to climb if it's slimy. However, I did manage to climb it out of the saddle this year, it was that dry.

  • really nice! :)

  • Good job! Do you have any HR or power data from this or any of the other climbs?

  • anaerobic!

  • I do this mountain every day because I live there! you do this very good! his maximum is 21% and with the stones is he not so easy ;)

    very good job man!

  • Wow, good riding. I can imagine its very hard to maintain one's rythmn on cobbles going up any hill. Riding up beats wearing out cleated shoes though!

  • magnifico!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a great ride! I've ridden the "tourist" Ronde 4 times and found that the worst part about the Koppenberg is the ammount of fallen cyclists who get in the way. I only made it up once in 4 tries! Once again, great job man!!!

  • Nice job man, I rode my bike into the bushes, had to walk... It's about technique as well, I know now, you have to "push behind the pedals" as the Flemish say. Hands on the side, not in the middle as climbers do (and I did).

Again, very good ride! I wonder what speed you had on the steepest part.

  • super effort on the climb, tell me how you set up the video and great job avoiding the other riders

  • Wel you must be a very strong cycler then, I failed on both climbs butt my bicycle is also very bad :-), it's a normal city-bike... . Butt, so what: love the atmosphere, the people and the landscape of the Vlaamse Ardennen.

  • Very well done, not many people can climb the Koppenberg. The Paterberg is even harder, I think. The Koppenberg used to be much more difficult because the stones lay very bad. Now they aren't good too, butt much better.

  • So so climb,very difficult.

  • thats a tit of a climb

the paterberg wasnt fun either, the murr was better the second time around tho

  • bravo!!!

  • Very nice

  • it's a nasty climb :) it's almost like a wall when you drive the first meters and you look up to the top :)

you did well... i tried him twice and only got at the top once ^^ the 2nd time was to much for me after climbing it an hour earlier :p

  • nice work on the climb, "Mark" almost blow it for you early! what was with the bloke laying his bike across the road on you!

  • Pretty cool hearing people clapping for you!

  • Nice! Thanks for posting. What gearing did you use for the climb?

  • bravo

  • allez allez
