Yes, monkeys, apes, and, gorillas are the animals that have features closer to us, but even certain angels have eyes, ears, hands, legs, and can walk upright. I got to play with an orangutan once, i taught him how to hold a pencil and make marks on paper, it was amazing. And his keeper showed me how he could identify different colored balls. They are amazingly similar to human children, even after so many thousands of years of evolution.

So we need a method to figure things out. Science + philosophy comprise that method, math being a major tool.

Another way to look at comparing closeness of ancestry would be simply looking at similar proteins in our bodies/cells. The proteins are built with 'blueprints' of genetic code from DNA, copied by mRNA, then assembled at the Ribosome with tRNA bringing specific amino acids corresponding to that code(Translation). Take Hemoglobin for instance. The amino acid sequence for human and chimp/bonobo hemoglobin is identical. Gorilla hemoglobin is just one amino acid different. ( high school biology)

Yes, monkeys, apes, and, gorillas are the animals that have features closer to us, but even certain angels have eyes, ears, hands, legs, and can walk upright. Another way to look at comparing closeness of ancestry would be simply looking at similar proteins in our bodies/cells. The proteins are built with 'blueprints' of genetic code from DNA, copied by mRNA, then assembled at the Ribosome with tRNA bringing specific amino acids corresponding to that code(Translation). Take Hemoglobin for instance. The amino acid sequence for human and chimp/bonobo hemoglobin is identical. Gorilla hemoglobin is just one amino acid different. ( high school biology)

atheists like to site genetics as proof of evolution, but I dont think most of them realize that the 96 or 98% similarity comes out to about 40 million seperate, and individual mutation differences, and that is just the physical. So even if you made all the changes, they would still be far from human. The mathmatics involved from just an ape to human makes it impossible.......

When I see a face of the monkey I see a human face characteristics. Especially mountain gorillas. I almost feel like they're human. I'm not a vegetarian/vegan/PETA psycho but I do feel that monkeys should be their own category, something between humans and animals.

because of your conscious. Not realising that these tiny but significant changes are occurring of time. Without realising we are making conscious decisions of what we want in our life and what we don’t want. Our mind is physically and psychologically changing to add more information. In turn this is what i believe causes the natural selection. But this does not mean that there is no creator. People have to understand that god exists & so does evolution. Because together they go hand in hand. This is our life & we continue to create it. We just dont understand it yet. A creator or god would not have created anything unless it had a system which develops it self & inturn also creates. It is a cycle.

@julianmilam I totally agree, religion is bad news. Jesus told us the same thing, the key is a personal relationship with God. It is in conflict with our conscience to hear that we evolved from apelike creatures, this is why people have emotional responces to the subject....one way or another.
It is just such a sad,sad time we live in...... and the statistics dont lie, we must stop telling our kids that they are just animals.

As used in science, a theory is an explanation or model based on observation, experimentation & reasoning, especially one that has been tested, peer reviewed & confirmed as a general principle helping to explain & predict natural phenomena.
