Really can't see this working. MS clearly wanting to jump on the party games bandwagon & grab wii's slice of the pie. Fact is, you need a controller to do gaming. Sony I think got this right. MS - you'll need some pretty special games & apps to get the hard gamer to take this on! But, they seem pretty confident so maybe they do. MS have a habit of underutilising hardware, chatpad, camera etc.

@LisaLioncourt The Xbox Vision camera can do what the Eye Toy for the PS2 could do. They made a game called the Movies or something along the lines of that. The Eye Toy For PS2 didn't have voice recognition, infrared lenses, and couldn't render images in 3D. It like comparing Fords Model-T to Audi's R8 and saying that they are the same. While yes they both are motorized vehicles, they are two very different products with with different features and functions.

I think its a good idea, just like when nintendo introduced the wii with the motion controller (yes, i think that was smart of nintendo, but i am not saying that they make good games). I just hope that microsoft doesnt kill good games with this new interface. I know that Peter Molineux from Lionhead Studios wants to use this for Fable 3, but I dont think that this should be used for anything except fitness games and mini games for the first little while.

They kinda need a controller of some sort to emulate you holding a weapon. Unless Natal can account for props as well, you've gotta have a controller.

Nope. As you see there is no wheel and they can steer a car. You can play a skate boarding game with no peripheral. You could play a shooting game just with your hands no gun needed. Natal does account for it emulating the peripherals. You can even hold your real skate board up and it will scan that and import it into the game so your character can use it.

yeah, acctually that would be a good idea, use no peripherals ie controlers etc, but if you had a toy gun or whatever and that went into game... so you can make a cardboard/papercraft gun and use that in game. oh the posabilitys.

fanboys,all the guys at work have 360s, half them have gaming rigs,not real current,4870x2 and 260GTX sort of rigs. 360 is played more however. pcs have a mouse and keyboard setup which is great and can have amazing graphics performance, but gaming isnt necesarily better,you spend more time tweaking your rig against games.online is never as good as xbox live. you guys need to stop being fanboys and realise both have advantages. you need to see both on impressive setups to see they both are fun
