If I am right this story takes place in Eng./Ame. and I know for sure kids get meal Brekf. and lunch for free in school if they come from a below ave. income family (or pretty much any kid who applies for it.) And if the father is working as a cab driver he is making atleast $ 100 a day (if he is really bad). trust me kids will be able to afford a $2 lunch
