That would be so wonderful if the 'background' music woulld not take so much place, or better: not be there at all. English isn't my 1srt tongue and it's making it so hard to concentrate that I'm losing some parts of Tori's words. And she is so wonderfully inspiring, as always...
this was very interesting and enjoyable, THANKS. makes you realise how much we need people like Tori; 24-hour artists. another good thing about this film was THE FACT THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE TO SUFFER A SMARMY CHATSHOW HOST!
@lumpenology absolutely, yes. I absolutely *love* all of the music she's made from day one, but I lean the most toward the work she's developed since becoming a mother. there's just something about it that resonates with me more than before Tash was born.
Its amazing how she dosent tell you what shes talking about, but you still know exactly where she is in the world, and you know exactly what shes thinking. shes the only woman who can communicate that way.
yah, she weaves that of the right brain (the instinctual, illogical and emotional) into the left brain way of communicating that our culture demands. (Does that make any sense?)
That reminds me of a lyric from the Gnarles Barkley song "Crazy"..."it wasn't because I didn't know enough/I just knew too much/Does that make me crazy?/Possibly"
Okay, this is not a criticism, but as this set of 4 videos were "interviews", shouldn't the questions she was answering have been included??? Were the viewers of the video supposed to infer what she was responding to??
I've found other interviews she has given. The woman is literate, eloquent, and has something to say. I'd would have liked the opportunity to discuss/question her "life" views.
No, she's remarking on the profound contrast between sex--and all that it involves and connotes--and giving birth. I don't believe the complex relationship the two experiences share can be distilled to a set of labels. It seems apparent that neither does she.
Thank U 4 posting, @chihpoo! I <3 this woman and her speech! (lol)

And you know why she has all these qualities? Because she thinks before open her mouth.

She definitely is quite self-centered.

Tensouls10 - self-centered? She's being interviewed. She's being asked to speak about herself and her life.
