@denns4life I have no idea. Log into your router. type 192.168.1.1 in your internet browser and type admin into the password box and look around in the different options and make sure that the internet is turned on.

@mstrawder66 you don't need a modem, if you have fiber optic there is no modem run the cord that comes from the wall to the router and you should be able to pick up signal with a "new" xbox 360 and if you have an old one you will need to buy a wireless attachment for your xbox, i just bought a 30 ft cord and ran it from my router to my xbox because it is less laggy for me

@MrLava1979 Your land line goes into the modem. Your 1st ethernet cable goes from the modem to the internet port on the router. Your 2nd ethernet cable goes from port #1 on router, into your computer.

@fronkmonk go to your internet browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and press enter. then in the window that pops up click in the password box and type admin. then your logged into the router. the menus are pretty easy and youll figure it out.

@2095498 Ummmm did you leave the username blank and just put admin into the password? if you did that well you need to hold the reset button for 30 seconds and that will reset the whole router so you can access it and the password will be admin

@azamora21 make sure your coax or phone cable is plugged into the wall and the modem. and make sure the modem is functional and the ethernet cable is connected from the port on the modem to the internet port on the router.

@mack665566 You plug it into the modem. That will give you access to the Internet. You need a separate Ethernet cable to go from port 1,2,3, or 4 into the computer

@TheNnmb I have no idea. The only other way that I know of is buying a wireless ethernet adapter. Its basically a box with an antennae, ethernet port, and has to be plugged in. You just plug the xbox into the adapter with an ethernet cable and there you go.

I was gonna buy this router for $50 new on newegg but I bought the Linksys E2000 instead because its very easy to read the Lights on the modem, it has 4 gigabit ports wireless N @ 5GHz for longer range and less wireless interfearance.

The router looks like an alien hi-tec spaceship lol.

@superduper1225 ok. log into the router. open a web browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and a window will pop up. in the password box put the word admin. nothing needs to be in the username window. ok now just look through the menus and you will eventually find it.

@Exochat89 Ok. Is the modem on? If so go into the Internet browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and just put in the password which is admin. Then look through all of the parts and tabs of the software. Once you find something that says like broadcast internet make sure it says it is. Are you running vista?

@sayra102001 ok all you have to do is setup the router like I demonstrated. For multiple computers you either need an Ethernet cable for each or a wireless adapter for each. I recommend the USB wifi adapters because of the ease of use and installation. I can make a video of how to setup security without the cd if you want.
