nice weight but you are resting your elbows on your body thats not how its done. Lower the weight and keep arms at 90 degree angle while rotating and then back up. It will be MUCH HARDER!
It takes a bit from any man's ego, but if you can humble yourself a little. Try lowering the weight to 90 degrees, then rotate your elbows forward keeping them at 90, then rotate them back to the 90 degree shoulder press position. KILLLLLSSSS!!!! it keeps you from resting the weight on your chest and minimizes any momentum. Good lifting though!
@Joobs0917 Good point and I agree, I alternate doing it they way you mentioned when I'm on a lighter routine doing reps of 8-12. I was doing the Max-OT Routine when I took this video and that routine is all about moving the most weight and doing it the other way is great for definition but I prefer this way when I'm on a heavier routine.
Yeah its so easy to cheat when your standing up i like sitting down with my lower back fully pressed aginest the back so it dosent ark, i only do 45 though. I still see tons and tons of kids doing it wrong at my gym.
75 nice man,, arnold press is by far on of my fav workouts.. im only at like 45LBs right now and normal shoulder pressing 60Lbs. and fuck man your gym plays rob zombie, i have to bring my mp3 player to the gym bec the only music they play is gay ass love songs about missing guys missing there girlfriends and shit lol
its easy to say that on youtube, this guy actually shows it. put up or shutup rueff2. a 140 lb swimmer cannot do the same thing this guy did. and this guy isnt bragging either so thats just another reason why you are an idiot.
@rueff2 Bullshit, no one at 140 lbs can do 75lb Arnold presses. Even with extremely low BF that's a ridiculously low weight to be that strong, unless you're a midget
Solid work Hoss. From this angle though, it looks like you are dropping the weight too low. I was always taught to bring the weight together in front of your eyes while doing these. Looks like you are dropping it below your chin, which is a HECK of a lot easier. Try to keep you elbows/arms at 90 degrees and bring the weight together up higher. That is the real challenge.
i can't stand idiots like you who have no idea what they're talking about and post comments using caveman English for some unknown reason. just don't post
Nice Great control not to sound like a troll but my friend Jackson he's been working out for I don't even know how many years now but he can do sets of 90's and 100's for 10 and 8 reps respectively I don't understand how he does it and he has great control its amazing.
i find it to be one of the best for anterior delts... the only thing you need to be careful of is when you start getting up into the heavier bells be really careful not to twist your wrist too fast on the way up or you won't be albe to stop it from spinning and it'll wreck your shoulders if you do it too often or once realy hard.. just cuz i see peole doing it a lot when they first try them.
after years of training i´ll make my descision, the arnold press is the best shoulder work out, at any shoulder workout i do i cant feel my shoulders so heavy AFTER the workout :-) they grow very good and you can see the stripes when you pose :-) i love this variation, so I know what im doing today in the gym :-D
i use to do this, but now im slimming down from 215 to 175 then building. great job arnold presses with heavy wieght is not easy. great motion in the shoulders though.
good stuff.. i do em without the back support, so i force my back and traps to do the work. i dont care so much about my shoulders plus its much harder
Great work! I agree with the stand up thing. You can get a full lock out at the top with shoulders shrugged up with weight in line with scapula hips and feet, head will be a little forward. Makes it fire up all that much more muscle tissue. Great stuff nonetheless!
It's all personal preference, I prefer to use a gradual twist from bottom to to top. A lot of folks don't have there palms facing the body in the starting position as well, it makes it a lot easier to use heavier weight.

The form was great for the weight. Its hard to get dumbells that big across the front of the chest. I don't see how he could have done those any better. Awesome lifts.

@DietSoap3 When you bring the weight forward, keep your elbows at 90 degrees. Instead of dropping them to your stomcach
