"Honey Don't" was originally the B side to the 1956 Sun single "Blue Suede Shoes" by Carl Perkins. John Lennon originally sang lead vocals on the song which was later given to Ringo Starr to sing. Wanda Jackson and T. Rex also recorded this song written by Carl Perkins. Ringo Starr also performed the song live on his All-Starr Band tours and the song appears on the first All-Starr live album that was released. The Beatles recorded virtually the entire Sun catalogue of Carl Perkins.
