  • He makes that grandma face

  • OMG! Steven Wilson is giving me the finger at 1:09!!!

  • everything steven wilson touches becomes gold.

  • Great song, I like this band, got into them through the Porcupine Tree link. I find this video rather unusual on many levels, but unusual in a real interesting way.

  • I wonder why they decided to cut off the song so abruptly. It just sort off stops. And then Beautiful songs you should know cuts in.

  • @PennyDreadful1 Together were stranger was a more seamless album.

  • Wow! Thanks for sharing...

  • I'm a very convinced atheist but when I hear what Steven does (so many different things and they are all awesome) I sometimes think there must be a god. His name is Steven Wilson ;)

  • i like your voice and your heart in all your songs... no man is super!

i'm a singer and i write my song

in youtube this is my new song . my progect is a self production...gli arrangiamenti sono da me curati con la collaborazione di MEGAHERTZ...

volevo condividerla con i tuoi ascoltatori

    youtube:margherita cazzuffi sai

  • I love this song. I really do. But i think steven uses that vocal pad a bit too much. In every project he does.

  • He has A colin firth sorta look to him....

  • your songs moves me ,i'm feeling the music and words and responding to it .it's not that it's coming at me but i'm engulfed in it .and it is good.........

  • Steven Wilson is like: "Be carefull of what you'll say, otherwise I'm going to kick your ass" xD

    Beautiful song though.

  • its amazing how the singer keep his eyes open, watching in the void..

  • @nyauw I think he's reading the lyrics from autocue..?

  • @nyauw I guess he's on E...

  • need a song with maynard from tool !!

  • Creepy Steven Wilson is creepy. But love.

  • You looking at me?

  • It looks like he is reading off a piece of paper that is saying "Make an astringent creepy face, and sing." But I love them... Even if this video is just odd.

  • what is hauptbahnhof and where is it?

  • @Blackfloydian its in german :) means main train station

  • so beautiful, i can't wait for the next No-Man album

  • simply beautiful!!!

  • Of all of Steven Wilson's projects, No-man is my favorite. Gaz is right as well, perfect if you like David Sylvian. No-Man are consistently amazing...music I can listen to again and again and again.

  • Tim Bowness = Perfect heir of David Sylvian

  • Lol it looks like those typical self-filmed Youtube cover videos. Was it intentional? I guess we'll never know.

  • Is it Duiburg?

  • I want this played at my funeral

  • I'm 52 on Sat and have only just found Steve Wilson and the various bands.

    Trying to catch up.

Have to leave my early Genesis alone.

  • @mccon59 my dad is the same way and now he loves porcupine tree, blackfield, and CAMEL. Look up camel its def a better one

  • @InsaneNursingHomes

Thanks for the reply but I was into Camel at an early stage try Greenslade especially 'Bedside Manners are Extra'.

    Cheers

  • @mccon59 If you are looking for more great music (Not the recycled commercial music garbage) message me and i will point you in the right direction :) I am a child of the 70s, and there are artists out there still creating ART as Genesis and others did back in a day. Steven Wilson is probably one of the best, but still many other amazing artists that will open you to a whole new world. Some recommendations - Unitopia, Big Big Train, Kaipa, Three, The Flower Kings, and many more

  • @fuwmg Also , how about Riverside, Abydos, No man,

  • @simonc12345 yes of course. I only listed what I did because i was running out of characters :)

Vanden Plas, Sylvan, Threshold, Pendragon, Blackfield, Porcupine Tree, Pineapple Thief, Jadis, Ayreon, Circus Maximus, A.C.T. Enchant, Frost*, Glass Hammer, RPWL and on and on and on

  • donno how to say that how impressed i am with this guy named "MR.STEVEN WILSON"

  • When the heartbeat slows...

    When the silence grows...

  • normal Steven Wilson position, the legs are always in the same place and so is the hand.. thoughtful and focused

  • A true masterpiece....they are the epitome of ingenious...

  • A true masterpiece....they are the epitome of ingenious...

  • Hail Steven!!!!

  • omg AWESOME music

  • I Love how it looks like they were just sitting on the computer and suddenly said "Hey, let's record our video!!"

And Steven sitting in the back like he is going to fall asleep anytime is just hilarious!!

  • Truly ! These guys are real Artists !

  • brilliant music

  • As much as I love this bands music, there's something unbearably precious about Bowness's voice that really turns me off. If only Wilson would get rid of him and talk Liz Fraser (Cocteau Twins) into joining!

  • Beautiful. Just beautiful.

  • Beautiful. Just beautiful

  • The video is so rediculously simple and cheap looking, but it really does work with the song. Brilliant.

  • Very beautiful song. Tim´s voice is really good. But it´s a shame that Steven Wilson doesn´t sing :( He would spice the songs up with he´s beautiful voice and make them even better than they are.

  • @fuckinlayne Steven does harmony vocals on this track near the end, but I totally agree, steven's voice with tim's would sound sublime :D

  • must be their fav coffee shop down on the right of the building.... pretty song....

  • Música marcante, clip marcante, músicos marcantes.

  • Steven Wilson fans: Steven ("SW") Plays with "No Man", "Porcupine Tree", "Bass Communion", "Incredible Expanding Mind F%*K" (IEM), "Blackfield", He's written, produced and performed a number of pieces with "Opeth" there are a number of solo releases, also as simply "Steven Wilson".

  • whats with that weird ass look tim always has stuck on his face, fuckin complete werido, i think he may be guy also, i have herd rumors to that effect about steven to , being that he is possibly gay becuase him and anvi stayed togater and i have seen pics of them laying on eachother in a unmanly way, regardless gay or not i idolize steven to me he is the most creative person on this planet, but as far a tim he just a homo lol!

  • steve wilson is a creeper. BOW TO THE KING OF CREEPERS!!!!!!!

  • Music like this makes me feel so mortal. How all the great timeless music and musicians are in their late 40s-50s, even 60s. And how all the young up-start musicians (like myself) are undoubtedly in musical products of their own times, and are simply throw-away acts which no one will remember, except out of spite (IE: Nickelback). I hate the fact that i'm a musician. It's horrible how something that makes me feel so complete can make me feel so empty.

  • wow,so no-man exit early than Porcupine tree..i really didn't know it !!! Very intersting !!

  • Hah, they're not exactly visually expressive here! It's awesome. I do love the filming technique in the parts like 0:37, though. And of course the music is expressive. :D

  • una chispa de intuicion en aquel silencio sepulcrado encajonando todos los detalles Steven

  • qué frase más vacía

  • Tim's singing is pretty much a vocal benzodiazepine to me. I didn't think anyone would ever surpass James Dean Bradfield in that respect, but here he goes.

  • Steven Wilson is truly blessed to have so much talent, genius comes to mind. Found Porcupine Tree a year ago, and now his work with Tim Bowness, with No-Man. Its a pity we have to wait weeks after we order cd's of most of Stevens work, but the wait is very much worth it.

  • @wooly1950 Try Blackfield too. It's Steven Wilson with israeli rocker Aviv Geffen band. They have two great records, Blackfield and Blackfield II. Enjoy!

  • I'd like to listen no-man's tracks sang by Steven Wilson. Anyway, I love this band.

  • @adrian5b Yeah I like Steve's voice, Bowness is a better singer, but I just like Steve voice a lot :D

  • Man...awesome...The rundown streets the civil wars..lol thats all i say. and i think..wow... all sweet things will come again

  • me marca esta cancion, me deja con cosas.....

  • Cudowne :) , moję samotne serce czuje ten rytm doskonale.... , all sweet things ,które były kiedyś lecz wciąż pozostają gdzieś tam głęboko..........wewnątrz.........mnie.....

  • Przepiękne. W sam raz dla mnie na samotne noce, kiedy wszyscy śpią (oprócz mnie i Rivermana)

  • Damn, Tim is so calmly expressful. Soothing!

  • Sehr geil Sehr geil ! :-)

  • i like how he just sits there, lol. Cheap video, beautiful music, this proves that they are more then just an image. They are artists....

  • @SephynnXx ...but it's NOT...a 'cheap' video...it is raw art work which is still moving...moving beside you,,, moving besides me, all of us .. can you feel it ?

  • @SephynnXx

I agree. Can you see the pure, organic humanity in his lyrics.. in their facial ...this is ART. Thank you Tim thank you Steven for such pureness in this melodic wonder, take care

  • I actually teared up really bad when the lyrically meaning of this song suddently hitted me; I recognice painfully much of my past in this track, I haven't been so touched by music for very long. Magic. I must see them live sometime, no matter the cost.

  • Fucking brilliant video. I love the blurred night shots. It visually shows what I think of when I hear No-Man's music...

...They're my favorite band to listen to whenever I go to LA (about once a month or so), because their sound reflects the numbness and the distant coldness of the southern California lifestyle, but also its misunderstood and beautiful energy.

I have every No-Man CD now, and they're all 4-5 star works of art.

  • =')

  • Steven only make music with genius people like, Mikael Akel--- from Opeth, Aviv from Blackfield, and the list will continue!!, hes one of the last musical genius in our times!!!! Hail Steven

  • but this is Tim with Steven... we are all gifted in one way or fashion~...this is No-Man and in and of itself please pay recognition to them & this song..here..what a beauty of a song. regardless of who the collaborators are..one must listen to this song at least ....20 times for the song itself remains genius

  • amen

  • @lugator i think Aviv not that really good you would better mention real names as Gavin harrison ,Anathema instead of Aviv

  • @lugator yeah that's why made a song with Pendulum???

  • the best and sweetest things have yet to come..but they will..beyond our wildest dreams & imagination....amen,~~ take good care in the meanwhile Tim and Steven..love this song :~

  • Comment removed

  • Such nostalgia. This song almost brought tears to my eyes.

  • I didn't think No-Man could do better than 'Together We're Stranger', but 'Schoolyard Ghosts' is a mantlepiece.

    Music is still alive.

  • Flowermouth is pretty awesome too. A great blend of music stiles.

  • Agreed - they're a great band.

  • I purchased returning jesus first.. wow, aamazing record, then schoolyard ghosts, which i dont think is as good. But i have just ordered flowemouth. Would you say that flowermouth is their best record? is it just electro pop?

  • It haves familiar elements such as Piano Loops, but not exactly electro pop. There are some amazing Saxophone, flute and violin parts, a great blend of music, great lyrics that recalls introspection, it's not as nostalgic as Schoolyard Ghosts, but it is intense, as all no-man Music. A good choice for buying mate.

PS: Returning Jesus is good, but, i feel "Schoolyard Ghosts" more atmospheric/dramatic, specially atmospheric. I like that in music. Maybe that's why i prefer more "SG" than "RJ".

  • One word to describe this magic is alchemy. Genius

  • steve wilson looked bored.

  • lol he does, and Tim seems to have the same look he has in the truenorth video, lol does he always look like that

  • It's fantastic. I love this song! No Man it's genius!

  • GENIUS...

How can a man write, play and record -- all alone -- On The Sunday Life ?

  • genius indeed, but dont the credits go partly to some alan duffy person?

  • Killer song. :)

  • Dude, he doesn't live with his parents. He has his own apartment. His studio located in his parents house of what use to be his bedroom from his childhood. He likes to record there.

  • boring? PT is better

  • your opinion buddy

  • this is so beautiful

  • love this song, ... does tim ever blink, lol

  • beautiful song, wordless

  • Absolutely beautiful song.

  • Are you guys in No-Man's Land recording that video?

  • yes it seems that they are recording it in Steven's studio ( in his parent's house) :P

  • don't know why but i think that is really his parent's house!

  • yes it is... his studio is located there... read it in an interview in a magazine called "the electronic musician" or something like that...

  • Really!!? So that's the reason why Wilson is a genius, 41 years old and still in his parents house O.O We must follow him.

  • Again a person with extreme intellectual capacities...

    The STUDIO is there -.-

  • lol do his parents still live there? And how do they fair the newer PT stuff

  • Ah, we have yet another jealous one! Hey pal, make sure to pick up ALL of my trash bags in the morning while you're putting down Wilson's career, k?

  • Jealous, putting down Wilson's carrer???!! :S Hey man you must read again what I wrote :S

I don't care what you said of the trash, but saying that I hate Wilson or whatever against him piss me off ¬¬

  • where's the train station in the movie from? i could swear i've seen it somewhere...

  • I am pretty sure it`s the train station in cologne

  • Yeah, it is.

  • why?

  • Very nice!
