Till now -(before law changed)- S.Korea(ROK)'s national Law restricts major newspaper companies-(right wings)- not to broadcast freely. You have no idea what you're talking about. US beef in Korea meets the same standard as US beef in Japan: It has to be under 30 months of age.

The real problem is that networks like MBC spread outright LIES. For example, MBC reported that .01 gram of tainted beef had a 100% fatality rate. This is a lie. In fact, the only thing that's 100% about it is that it is a 100% lie.

You want freedom of speech? First, learn how to speak the truth instead of manipulating people with lies.

the 100% fatality rate makes sense too. there's no cure for the mad cow disease yet, so if you are infected with it, there's no telling that you'll not die from it sooner or later. maybe not really 100%, but it's still better than saying that once you eat tainted beef you'll be safe from it.

If you are taking about FTA between u.s.a and korea, you have brought in a very bad point. US beef has been known for quality problems for some time now. Even it is the best beef in the word, United states loose alot more by this FTA. U.S. auto companies are in deep trouble and this FTA with korea which allows korean cars to come in to u.s. market almost freely will KILL AMERICAN AUTO COMPANIES.
