I applaude the courage Sen White displayed in explaining out loud her Yes vote for the civil unions bill in Colorado. She displays heart, compassion, and an understanding that equal rights for all means *all* citizens.

THANK YOU!!! Yes, we need more senators like her to support full equality for gays and lesbians. Not only in Colorado. Everywhere in the US. It's time to end the blatant discrimination that we are facing. It's time to stop making us 2nd rate citizens. Again, thank you for speaking up for what's right, for defending our rights. This testimony is indeed very moving, and almost brought tears to my eyes. It's nice to see the tremendous growing of support nationwide for our rights.

Someday the idea of fighting against gay rights will be viewed and treated the same way as fighting for racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry.
