I have to admire the men who went to the moon and what life must've been like to accomplish this and then to come back to what? They weren't going to go back to the moon and yet they were trained experts at flying there and operating in that type of element. @cablek11 it took 3 days, 3 hours and 49 minutes for the apollo missions to get to the moon. Buzz and Neil then spent 2 hours on the moon, and began their journey back, totalling 6 days, 9 hours, 38 minutes off of earth.

@mattjamesdrum Actually the camera was mounted outside the lander and was deployed mechanically after landing. I remember it being explained at the time of the landing along with concern initially that it may not work.
I followed all of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions in real time to the extent that broadcast was available. Given the level of technology at the time they did a remarkable job.
The jet blast of a lander would have blasted all the dust away making a crater of bedrock. Armstrong would have had no dust in which to step. The lander's feet and body would have been covered in dust. It would have raised a temporary cloud of dust. No stars were visible in a sky with no atmosphere. Glad they luckily made it through the deadly Van Allen Radiation Belt. God must have saved them. And, where did a lander carry the lunar rover, in their garages?

We had a computer in our school in the early 70's that had been donated by General Motors. The large cabinets took up half of a room & could perform fewer functions than a hand-held calculator does today. I fail to see how they could have been able to store & transport the necessary computer equipment required for such a mission. Even if their technology was 10+yrs ahead.

Apollo's on board computer was just a number cruncher.

I have doubts with Apollo 17. A Russian lunar rover drove up to and filmed one site. There has been interesting photo cock-ups. But lander sites have been photographed from space too.

If you read up about space stations they are not really out in space, they are in our upper atmosphere which is still protected by the earths layers....thats why they can stay in space stations...If they were actually beyond our protective layers it would be a matter of hours before they would be very ill with radiation sickness. @mattjamesdrum Actually the camera was mounted outside the lander and was deployed mechanically after landing. I remember it being explained at the time of the landing along with concern initially that it may not work.
I followed all of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions in real time to the extent that broadcast was available. Given the level of technology at the time they did a remarkable job.

The jet blast of a lander would have blasted all the dust away making a crater of bedrock. Armstrong would have had no dust in which to step. The lander's feet and body would have been covered in dust. It would have raised a temporary cloud of dust. No stars were visible in a sky with no atmosphere. Glad they luckily made it through the deadly Van Allen Radiation Belt. God must have saved them. And, where did a lander carry the lunar rover, in their garages?

Rover was stored in a compartment above the lower part of the lander, they just pulled it out, simple.

Apollo's on board computer was just a number cruncher.

Send up another 3 astronauts and that provides PROOF not inanimate objects. Life needs air / oxygen, or a certain amount of air pressure, thermo regulation, or EMR protection. It's about the ability to sustain life in space. Even 40 years on, they cannot do it, sorry, they have NOT done it since. That's saying something. Don;t be fooled by the Disney studio called Area 51

Alcoholism is more destructive to his family and friends, I feel sorry for them more than him. Even still, to not be able to face oneself in a mirror without being intoxicated is the sad existence he lives with that I don't wish on anyone.

Those people become drug addicts, alcoholics, prostitutes, etc. because they'd rather hurt themselves than others. Most don't realize that their actions are hurting their friends and family, and that's why their families have "interventions" for them. There's been 212 satellites launch by US since 84'. Altitude ranges from 2000km to over the geosynchronous orbit of 35,790km. There ya' go kid. Now we got that out of the way.

For those of you who are not idiots like the one below, an easy check will validate that satellites are purposely placed into orbit either below, above, or in the relatively safe area in between the two belts. It's morons like the one below who make it easy on NASA to keep their Apollo fraud alive. Instruments are turned off during transit of the VAB's and components are hardened to resist the radiaiton.
