I SEE THE TREND FOR GROWTH ,AND COLOR HAVE NOT CHANGED..UPON HAVING MATURE FEATHERS WILL THEY SEASONALLY CHANGE IN COLOR FOR BLENDING IN AND TEXTURE FOR PROTECTION FROM THE DIFFERENT ELEMENTS..DOES THE Egyptian goose MIGRATE AND IF SO WHERE AND FOR HOW LONG..USING GOOGLE EARTH AS A TOOL TO SEE KENSINGTON GARDEN I AM AMAZED AT THE DENSE POPULATION OF THEIR HABITAT AND LIKE THE WAY YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO CONCEAL THIS..I AM SUPRISED THAT THEIR IS NO FENCE TO BETTER PROTECT THEM AND THE OTHER ANIMALS.
@LHRT229 Speaking of my personal observation, it is certain that juvenile Egyptian geese will migrate once the parents turn against them and chases them off. On the other hand, with adults, the higher ranked Egyptian geese will stay at the exact same spot and any intruders of the same breed will result a feroscious fight for the territory. Beto and Della had that kind of confrontation last year, resulting with the other pair now residing in Hyde Park, being parents of 7 goslings.
They grow fast, eh? Great footage again, I love it how they stretch their leggies while lazily resting on the grass, so cute, just like their baby duck & geese cousins :-)
@johvdz They do grow fast indeed. And this lazy resting on the grass actually has a valuable purpose. They are sunbathing, which has many benefits for them. And sometimes in really hot conditions you can see them panting like dogs.
Oh my word!!! This is magical! I LOVE videos like this. I've subbed you. What a wonderful job you have done of sharing the lives of these magnificent and sometimes comical beings. I love them. Lucky you to film this. Wonderful, amazing, beautiful, deeply worthy project. Bless you!!! :) :)
