  • This is a waste of time and videos like this should be deleted. This shows nothing / proves nothing / is good for nothing. What a goof!

  • wen you gonna make the video taking a part end baking it :D????

  • good vid except for the lack of baking, :)

  • "It is dead as most of you guys know". If you are one of those like me who didn't know, thumbs up this.

  • I just did this, the GPU wasn't harmed at all. However I think this only fixes your GPU if you are getting weird artifacts on screen and lines and whatnot. I don't think it will fix a blank screen dead GPU.

  • @t3hPoundcake I did it when my 8800GTX was completely dead a few months ago and it worked, still using it now. It wouldn't even take my monitor out of power saver mode before I baked it.

  • @1CaptainAustralia1 Really? Mind telling me your exact temp and time? I tried this with my 8800, same problem wouldn't even go out of power save mode.

  • @t3hPoundcake 200C / 390F for 10 minutes, pre heated the oven first of course. Let it cool down for half an hour, put the fan and heatsink back on, and it worked like new straight away.

  • @1CaptainAustralia1 I'll give it one more try, I'm ordering a gts450 in like 5 days anyway so its not a huge deal, but I've been without a card for like a month, really ticks me off seeing that I just upgraded processors/ram/mobo etc.

  • @t3hPoundcake In most cases it will fix blank screen video cards. Believe me, i tried it. Also: if you do not cook it long enough, the issue will come back.

  • i must use a gas oven , or a microwave one will do fine ?

  • @10h41 Lol don't microwave your graphics card dude.

  • @t3hPoundcake hehe ok ok i wont put it in the microwave. My gas oven its not with a temperature control or with a timer so i think i will still take my chances with it. I have 2 dead 8800gt so im gonna try , at least with one of them.

  • put it in the oven for ^&*(^ sakes

  • This method is working only when the card artifacts! And another important thing is, if you do this method in an oven dont bake any food in it coz this proces is very toxic!

  • @n0f3aR629 My nvidia 9800gt when i try to paly a game it jsut freezes had the card for over a year now when ever i open say solitair for example the computer freezes and after around 15-30 mins teh pc just freezes when i use the computer without the card it runs fine know whats up? anyone!!!

  • @superman83kg The card was overclocked? Maybe its overheating try to change the thermal paste on the GPU or maybe the gpu cooler its full with dust....

  • @n0f3aR629 i meant it freezes in screen not the card the cards temps are fine 40-50 degrees the fan is spinning fine ive unscrewed all teh screws done them up again dusted it out its got a shit load of paste on tehre from when i bought it almost 2 eyars from now

  • Will this work with my HD 2900 Pro?

  • i also heard that if u put the water on the card while in pc it will sparkle and start working again try it out it even sparkle the motherboard sow its cooler ^^ xD

  • Hey Rick Arter what happen to the baking of the gpu?

  • ive fixed some AMD 64 bit dual core cpu's with this method as well.

  • It work for me, with a 8800GTX...

  • i tried this on my 5 year old 6800gt... before i tried i had major artifacts everywhere even in bios.... also red lines, multicolor, and random letters and shapes on screen. i put it in the toaster oven and now! it doesnt even post.... killed my card even more, epic fail....

  • I have a questions icne your talking about your card dying.

is there a typical life span for video cards? before you decide to bake it?

or does a card just die out because of over clocking?

  • 40+ hours at work, you poor slave

  • I "Baked" my two 8800 GTX's both at the same time in the oven. They are both working and i'm using them right now in SLI while i'm posting this comment =) Been playing Bad Company 2 with no problems.

  • prueba2

  • prueba

  • USE HAIRDRYER

  • this thing works only doing this 1 time..or i have to do this almost all the time?

  • worked for a friend of mine

  • when my 8800gt started to act up i used my heat gun and did a good reflow on it, it actually worked, i had no warranty

  • i cooked a pizza roll with my heat gun xD it was gooooood!

  • plonkers video..after all this he doent do it???wtf!

  • Comment removed

  • I find it odd he says the RMA is a "long story", something there sounds fishy. I've sent 3x 295 back for RMA at eVGA and I didn't have to pay anything and the shipping was very fast.

By doing this you are actually voiding the warranty from eVGA, so hope they don't watch this video.

  • Overcooking :))) LOL

  • i baked my friends 8800gtx works realy well :) hope my 2x gtx 280's wont break hehe

  • Did this with my 8800 GTX a month back (video on my channel). I didn't bother removing the plate and don't forget to level the card evenly.

    Subbed to see the results

    Good Luck :).

  • cool GPU!

  • Bringing dead cards back to life.. ur a mad man! I guess it won't be long till zombie gpu's take over the world :(

  • Just use the heat gun so u won't meet the plastic conector

  • wowwoowowowo baken baken baked BAKEN BAKEN BAKEN WTF 5/5

  • WOW! Good luck Rick! I hope it works for U! 5/5

  • wonder if you take the plastic off does it run cooler ?

  • baking a GPU in the oven?

This sounds like something people made up on the internet to fuck up peoples graphic cards even more lol

  • the oven thingy at the begging sounded so wack XD but now that you explained and i did some research it sounds like it might work :P, hope it does for you

  • Sorry to hear that it died Rick. I sure hope the baking it works. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

  • i baked my old 7800gt and it works fine now :)

  • wtf it died

    no rma ?????

  • Nice rick best of luck!

  • i thought baking gpu could fix a dead gpu lol?impressive

  • put some cookies in there as well :)

  • omg i thought this was a joke video lol

  • Dude, once you bake it, I don't think you will be able to RMA it. Sorry to hear you been working a lot, I have been working no less than 60 hrs. a week, now thats a lot.

Maybe with the extra money from working, you could by a cheap light, so it doesn't look like you're in the dark all the time. lol just a thought

    Cheers

    LazyMan :-)

  • Ouch, harsh. :O

  • No wasn't intended to be harsh, I was just suggesting that it would improve the lighting on his vids.

Cameras/camcorders need a lot of light, for a cheap light the the payoff is tremendous. I use two $10 lights from Home Depot (any local hardware store) and the video quality is crisp, sharp and clear. Check out some of my vids if you have time and you will see for yourself.

    Cheers

    LazyMan :-)

  • I love you.

  • Then sub me baby!

  • ;] done

  • Thanks for suggestion will check it out.

  • bro after posting this vid their prob not going to accecpt it because they will say it doesnt work because u roasted it in the oven

  • Well I have not done it yet so....

  • @asus3571 ya hes got to be carefull they can totally tell who bought the card by the looks of there hands

  • @2chicks0cups wtf does hands have to do with it it will be obvious it was baked

  • this should work... I had to bake a K7 mobo once, and that worked.

  • I told you it would happen :P

  • super GPU !

  • lol, i have two gtx280's and everything is running smooth since 2 years ago august :)

  • @Hassasin195 I have 2 8800gts's 640mb. Had them for 3 years and they are still going great! Upgrading very soon though.

  • @gaz52

Nice, I might grab a 480 or 460, but my 280 are still running smooth, so i'll keep them until the time that they start fragmenting the picture :P

  • that really sucks that beast of a card is pretty much a big expensive paper wait, hopefully the baking works, thats ok rick, we all know ur busy : ) , nice vid

  • JagoVsFulgore is the man, I especially like him since he sells games for REALLY cheap.

  • wtf farter u still hvnt fixed this?

  • I had an 8500GT that would freeze with colors when i turned in my pc sometimes. I would just unplug the pc for a few minutes then plug it back in and it would work fine.

  • yes iovd to see that

  • Send it 2 me lol

  • awsome man! i will stay tuned in! hehehe

  • haha that should be interesting!! would you like to barrow my heat gun? or maybe buy one at home depot for $17.99 idk just a though lol.. But don't do that rick becuase I want to see you put it in an oven lol! 5/5

  • nice bro you tried this with your 280 crazy i would only do it on the low end cards.

  • thats awesome! I need to get me one of these cards.

  • i wanna see u overclock that ati 5970 lets see how things turn out with that card

  • HAHA your crazy rick!! :D

  • This is why I got a 9600GT and refuse to upgrade for a while, lol. I actually kind of expected it to have the same problems as the 8800GTX/Ultra since it's huge and hot as hell. Guess I was right. :(

  • Sweet vid man, anxious to see the results.

    5/5

  • cant you heat gun it? i did it to my xbox 360. i had graphic problem like weird lines and green and pinky stuff everywere than i got a RROD. i heatguned it for 2 minutes. works fine now

  • I wouldent bake it lol

  • Did you even listen to the video? The card is already dead, nothing to loose..

  • Yeah i know but i still wouldent ;)

  • rofl thats why you dont buy nvidia

  • rofl its not always just nvidia
