I think Marcella should have at least gone on to the finals. The only reason why Darius went on to the finals was because he was a man, and they needed one to keep more of the demographic watching. It's a popularity contest. He got the female, the European and the gay votes.

She is my idol, I love her. She should have won! I bet it was air head girls who voted for Darius because they thought he was good looking of something, someone should have beaten them over the head with rolling pins for being so clueless and dumb. Darius was crap, he robbed Bernie!

@pinkfairygirl86 - Sorry, but as a trained opera singer myself, I feel that Darius had much better natural technique overall. Bernie has a fantastic upper range, but when she had sing in the middle and lower range, the transitions got a little clunky. In layman's terms, her shifting of gears from one part of her voice to another was not as smooth as it could have been. Like driving a manual, you try as a singer to make the transitions between "gears" as smooth and unnoticible as possible.
