It all falls on Freddy "The Joke Coach" Roach. He is strictly an offensive striking coach. All of his fighters are the same. They just get in the ring, JUMPING in and out throwing 4 to 6 punch combinations, at the end of which they either jump straight back, or turn left. When they ump back they are open for the counter everytime. Khan and Pacquaio are practically the same fighter with the same flaws. No defense, they fail to adjust, roach as a trainner, and can't fight on the inside.

They are both heavily overrated in my opinion, because they fail to adjust. look at the segment @8:45. this was footage from thheir HBO Faceoff. HBO's Max Kellerman went out of his way to show Roach and Pacquaio why Marquez was able to hit them so clean and so often in the previous fights. He actually has MArquez try to explain why he hits him so easily... yet and still they can't stop themselves from the same punishment.

@JerwynLabagnoy point is marquez landed the cleaner harder shots. eveyone has a messed up face after a boxing match. you have to consider that each fighter is being punched in the face a minimum of 150 times in a fight that goes 12 rounds. if you slapped someone with an open hand 150 times, far less devistating than a closed fis the face would still be swollen and bruised. look at the pacquaio clottey fight. i really don't even remember pacquaio being hit so much but his eye was huge after

This is a great video showing that Manny still has a lot things to do and to improve. I hope Team Pacquiao can see this. But the problem is JMM also hasn't learned from the past two fights. In order for him to get the nod of the judges he must be aggressive and control the fight just like what he did to other fighters whom he knocked out and not just wait, bait and then counter-punch.

pacquiao's style...if an opponent gets close he swings wildly...if an opponent lands a good shot he swings even more to score back...if a person is countering him effectively he'll either swing more or freeze up and slow down in punch volume...and if he gets hit repeatedly he covers up and backs up ending up against the ropes or swings wildly hoping to outland his opponent while trading shots...thats pacquiao's style since the very beginning...no defense...all training vids...footwork & punching

The beard cowered the rest of the damagae around the mouth. Also punches above and at the ear is cowered up by hair. The main thing is the effectiveness. Marquez didn't even blink in the fight and Manny got stunned twice.
