  • why don't you show us how to install the damn thing. Its confusing as fuck for a mac. You already have it installed. shit.

  • Thanks this helped

  • Hi, i've connected my Keyboard into the line inputs. Im using garageband to record and have changed the sound inputs and outputs to UX2. However, when i play the keyboard, garageband does not read my keyboard. there is no signal. why is this so?

  • Is there any way to make the sound come out of my built in speakers on my mac? If not, is there a way to be able to hear sounds coming from my computer and also hear my guitar through headphones? I'm so confused. All this tech shit confuses me.

  • the guitar sounds HORRIBLE

  • If I already registered my UX2 to PC will it still let me install on to Mac as im just moving on to one now.

  • @5:25 Or you could hit shift-command-N. I wouldn't have bothered learning that either, but I work on an aging Macbook and the mouse button was giving out, so I learned every keyboard shortcut I possibly could to minimize the need for a functioning mouse. Also, option-command-N brings up that new track menu in case you want a MIDI or electric guitar track.

  • hey, im recording pod farm fine with standalone, except, the recording is only picking up one of the two dual tones :/ how can i make it record both? they are both playing when i record

  • Hi! Can I plug the pod ux2 to some headphones and chose the tone that I want and just hear it like if it was a real amp? answer plz!

  • if i want to hear out of my computer speakers for monitoring can i just set my input the line 6 device and keep my output to built in? this works for my presonus stuff, sometimes i dont want to use extra wires and headphones. let me know if this works for line 6 hardware and stuff

  • I read on Line 6's website in forums that Pod Farm doesn't work with Mac.

    ?

I want to buy an iMac but I read so many people having problems.

  • That's rubbish! I have an iMac 27" and my UX2 works fine with POD Farm 2.5, with the sound coming through Bose speakers via the Mac.

  • I have a question

I'm getting the UX2 soon. I will be connecting it to my M-Audio Profire 2626 via spdif.

This will let me record two extra channels into Pro Tools, will I be able to record it simultaneously?

And will I be able to insert the pod farm plug-in on a Aux track, for example a plate re verb and then use my sends to put that reverb on the snare?

    Thanx

  • i can only hear through my headphones in farm pod and not through my computer

but in garageband i can hear through my computer

what do i need to do?

  • @benderbrunit22 set the UX2 to be your sound card in your Mac's system preferences menu under "sound". Next, plug your speakers directly into the UX. That way, all audio from that point on will be routed through the Line 6 device.

  • @Line6Support

How can i plug my speakers directly into my UX2 when my speakers are internal on my macbook pro?

  • hey i just got the line6 ux2 and it came with some software is the ( riffworks and reason adapted) how do u use those software? thanks.

  • @CTROCK Reason Adapted is a virtual synth application that represents a virtual studio rack. You can use it in conjunction with certain recording softwares as a rewire tool. Check out the Propellerhead website for more information about Reason.

  • @CTROCK Riffworks is a loop based recording application. Google Sonoma Wireworks to see specifically how it works.

  • what if I dont get a signal in garage band after doing everything up to 5:55 ?

  • everything works great but when i switch my input and output to ux2 my garage band shows that everything is playing but i cant hear anything until i switch it back.

  • @o0snape0o don't forget that if your UX2 is your main Input/Output device then you will need to plug headphones or speakers into it to hear recording playback.

  • my stand alone version just to work fine recently I did some updates and now only the plugin work when I open the stand alone version and try to select a patch it just does not do anything, change patch name but the sound its the same in the hardware ,

well I just need some help

  • i have a toneport gx and my I have to keep pressing on the headphone jack to get sound to come out. Is there a simple way to fix this or can I buy only a new device by itself? I never dropped it or abused it. It just messed up all of a sudden.

  • At 6:18. i see your signal gets about as loud as mine does with fasttrack. is it loud enough fro optimal recording? If you dont have the ability to get near the red, it seems like it would be too quiet

  • Hi, i have a fast track and i can not get a nice loud signal in Garageband. Im thinking of getting a UX2, but i wanna make sure i can plug in direct and be able to get a loud signal. Since the guitar inputs dont have a gain dial, is it loud enough?

  • great tutorial!

  • hey... thanks for your support...

But I have a problem.... everytime I restart my pc, the POD farm doesn't work....and i need to reinstall it.... can you help me?

  • You should post a thread on our support forums so we can work with you in detail on this. We may need to get some system info from you.

  • hi!!! Which are the main diferences between ux1 and ux2?

  • Mainly inputs and outputs. The UX2 has 2 XLR inputs and a padded 1/4" instrument input. It also has phantom power for condenser style microphones.

  • I cant get my mic to work through my UX1, can somebody please help? or any advices for some things i could try? thanks.

  • If you are using a condenser mic then you need phantom power for that. The UX1 does not provide phantom power so you'll need to pick up a phantom power box. If you are using a dynamic mic then check your source select options in POD Farm and make sure it is set to Mic.

  • hey man!!!!

how many instruments can you record at the same time?

    PEACE&LOVE

  • On a POD Studio UX2 you can record up to two instruments at once. This includes combinations of vocals and guitars/bass, 2 vocals, or 2 line level instruments like keys or drum machines.
