  • chris, i will show you to my children, and I know that they will show their children your work as well. You are timeless, you are amazing, you are the big-brother I never had. And hopefully, at some point in the future, I can only hope that our paths cross again...and this time, for a longer period of time.

    Love you chris.

  • 4:09. Bee Girl Farley. <3

  • Fantastic book. You feel like you know Chris and you wish you did know him. I cried my eyes out while reading the last chapter.

  • I love that Fred Armison didn't try to make some story about knowing Chris or seeing him, he just tried to pay respect to him.

God, I'm only in high school and wasn't alive for a majority of when Chris Farley was on SNL, but I would give anything to have been able to watch a show he did live, just once.

  • Thanks for this. Chris was the best! Wish there was more of him around. Interestingly his "The Rehab Guy" skit may have been the wildest on bit of slapstick I had ever seen on SNL and he was the "fall guy" in it in every sense of the original term.

  • I just finished his Bio Book as well and I really liked it..Its like you want to jump in the pages to try and stop what you know is coming. I think what really makes his unfortunate drug death different from others is all he really gave back and the pain he felt while doing it all. A true story on how difficult and hard he really tried to stay clean.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of the SNL where he hosted? They cut out the cold opening to the show b/c it was written how bad he looked.

  • I liked what Jimmy Fallon had to say about him. He seemed genuine and you could tell he was a real fan. Seth Green and Maya Rudolph annoyed me.

  • Douchebag @ 1:37 checking his phone and looking around, then saying a couple of insincere words..people will remember farley decades from now. You? Not so much.

  • Everyone seems so so sincere in they're remembrances and thoughts of him. Must have been just a wonder to work with, with all that energy and all!

  • 2:55 Its fat guy in a little coat, Idiots.

  • I've been studying comedy for a few years now. I got this book for Christmas in 2010. One of the best gifts I could ever get. This book is amazing. I am thankful for all the people that made this book happen. Great tribute, Tom. Awesome, awesome job. You've done a great thing to help keep a great guy in the history books. God bless you and your family. Rest in Peace.

  • Anyone who wants to read a good biography, I HIGHLY recommend this book about Chris. The book is great because it describes how complex and how wonderful Chris was. I see him in a different light since I read it. He was a very compassionate, kind, generous guy. RIP Chris. Everyone who loves to laugh misses you.

  • I was and still am a hardcore Chris Farley Fan.. I remember seeing his last performance on SNL. And i have to be honest i said amongst friends "He doesn't have long to live". He was very obese and was breathing heavily. I was very worried. I looked forward to watching Chris he was unpredictable. And it was so funny to watch Adam work with Chris, Adam was always on the verge of cracking up. "Wash your own damn sheets!!" "Lay off me i'm starving"!

  • AWESOME!!!! love Chris!!!!

  • awesome

  • One of the best bio's I've ever read... I don't think many people realize how many layers he had (on and off screen). What impressed me the most though was the part in the book where some of the homeless guys he spent time with had no idea he was famous. They were just there to mourn their friend.

  • 4:10 it shows Chris as the bee from Blind Melon, I have never seen that, was that on an episode and does anyone have any info on it. I would love to see it.

  • @augustgirl look for blind melons performance of 'no rain' on snl on youtube..or something along those lines, hes dancing around as the host introduces the band

  • @augustgirl i believe thats from second city

  • isn't it awesome how prick fred armisen checks his IPhone during the interview.

  • @skulldug

yeah what a selfish person. i hope someone does that at his funeral

  • Chris is the best, I was too young to see him. But what ive seen on DVD's is amazing. LOVE THIS GUY!!!

  • I need this book. I, like others, kind of looked up to Chris in a way. I am a huge fan of his humor and how he just wanted to make people laugh.

  • Fantastic, fantastic, bloody fantastic book. Chris is such an idol to me and has been since I watched Almost Heroes constantly, before I was even in second grade. I dont not love anything he's touched, you can tell he was such special guy. From Second city, to the legendary Tommy Boy, I miss him and I never met him

  • Kudos to Tom Farley and Tanner Colby on a great book. It brought a 38 year old man to tears. We miss you Chris.......

  • Farley was one of a kind. Dan really gave a great on the spot speach for him. shame.

  • great read, on any level. do yourself a favor and read it. you will be enlightened and be introduced to a different side of farley. good and bad.

  • this book changed my life in more ways than one....i suggest it to anyone and everyone...it wasnt as much about chris the performer...but the man, the brother, the friend, the son....that really resonates with me and many if not all the quotes about chris oddly remind me of myself

  • I was 2 when he died and all I can say is, I wish I saw him that time

  • One of the best biographies I've read.

  • Because of this book, I cant watch Mighty Ducks 2 the same way ever again.

  • why what does it say about mighty ducks 2?

  • Gr8 book. Read it straight through. Awesome Man.

  • I'm a Secondary Education teacher and THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK. I loved Chris and up until this book like most people, I only knew the man through interviews, SNL, and his movies. But this book allows you to get to know the person, and sheds light on how special he was off the camera. Many thanks for posting this.

  • I was watching the SNL 25th Anniversary special today and when it got to the part where David Spade talks about Farley I got a little choked up.

  • Incredible book. Thank you for compiling the memories for everyone else to share as well.

  • We still love and miss you Chris!

    Madison, WI.

  • HE was a GREAT MAN AND I SEE A LITTLE CHRIS FARLEY N EVERYONE

  • God Bless your brother. I miss him

  • A lot of people really liked Farley. The book was so heartfelt. It wasn't just a book written by one person from one perspective, it was from dozens of perspectives at different times, of people who knew Chris and the stages of his life. That's what sets the book aside from any other Chris Farley biography you'd ever find, if any. Even people who weren't major fans before read the book and suddenly fall in love with the guy. That book definitely goes in safe keeping, for me. Long live Farley.

  • I could not put this book down.

  • I just got the book from my brother for Christmas. I finished it the next day.

I miss him. I really, truly do.

  • One of the best books I ever read.

    It was so awesome.

I'm writing a movie script version right now.

Just figured out how I was going to end =)

  • I really enjoyed the book. It was hard reading about the tragic end of a person with such a big heart.

If you liked The Chris Farley Show, read BELUSHI by Judith Belushi Pisano and Tanner Colby.

  • i fucking love this book

  • Me too!! The best biography I have read in a very long time. Chris Farley was the funniest guy SNL has ever had. He always made me smile and like Alec said, he made this business fun and he had perfect timing with his comedy. From Matt Foley to Chipindales to Da Bears, etc. He did it his way. He was the greatest and always will be the greatest. I laugh and cry everytime I watch his sketches. We miss you Chris Farley. Make God and John Belushi laugh.

  • I'm about halfway through the book now, and I'm loving it. Everyone's words are so sincere and truly show Chris in a positive light, even when he's down and out. I'd recommend this book to any and every Farley fan out there.

  • Up to chapter 8 (A friendly Visitor) so far. You guy's summed it up very well. Very bittersweet. The love everyone had for Chris drips off of every page. Great read.

  • Just heard the interview on Q on CBC, and was moved by Tom Farley's level-headed description of what his brother meant to him, his family, and to the world. Thanks.

  • Just finished reading the book. A definite mix joy, laughter, frustration, sadness and hope. Loved it and wished there were more pages when I turned the last one.

  • spot on... that was how I felt. I laughed out loud and cried. the book seems so ernest

  • Excellent book!!! Chris Farley is one of the funniest comedic actors of all time. He brought us so much joy. I miss him so much. The book on his life is really amazing.

  • thx should be great
