That lockup problem you've got might be related to a faulty or failing drive. Flash player at some point was also causing the white screen of death in IE a while back.
@DavinDaGeek windows 7 is the single most insuccer os in the history of windows do not use it! i have it and got 5 Trojans just by checking my email and gaming plus i have the best virus software i can find to.
@razer0072073 CCleaner is a program that eats up more memory then the files it deletes which is just cahe and thumbnails which when you load them again it takes longer to load the photo ( for example ) its not worth having, and vista is a hog, most people with vista who upgrade or even downgrade to diff versions of windows, besides vista will show a dramatic increase of overall performance
@39483294jdw0 YA BET YOU WISH ITS MORE LIKE YOUR SUCKING HIS DICK LIKE THE COMPUTER YOU BOUGHT THAT YOUR WORKING ON HAS SMALL OR BIG SHARES GOING TOWARDS HIM SO SHUT IT.
All these other peoples comments suck my huge cock! Do this>Download all these now!!! Malwarebytes / CCleaner / Auslogistics disk defrag / Autoruns for windows / Revo Uninstaller or Decrapifier. I hope you didn't buy it from best buy because your computer has aids! They think it's funny to preinstall gentile herpes on unsuspecting peoples computers. Get rid of it! the preinstalled anti virus! You all ready have avira that's good enough just update everything that has an update feature.
@39483294jdw0 I fixed the issue and by fix I upgraded to windows seven, I don't know why, but vista just ran like crap on my laptop. I never downloaded anything from torrents and had no viruses, hell the computer was pretty much new when I made this video. But windows seven runs like a charm for me now.
@DavinDaGeek Even windows 7 will lead to disappointment if not properly maintained. That's the problem with windows/any windows, it's like having a high class girl friend, the updating, scanning the bullshit. It's a good thing you got 7 because basic has windows explorer crashes just like home premium. People will tell you to use linux but they won't tell you you'r taking a big leap. Some good advice, disable the (super fetch) feature, excessive hard drive abuse, start>services>superfetch disabl
@DavinDaGeek I have 7 and occasionally get the white screen, as you described in your video. Other than that and the blinking windows (graphics driver issue), it's a great OS.
It wasn't the OS, but the hardwre in the PC. Windows XP never ruled ever. One of the bigegst issues with OS hangs and Faults that lead to BSOD or anything like it, are RAM issues, and Video Problems. Buying Better then Average RAM for your PC is the best thing you can do. Throw away the RAM in teh OEM Computers, and spend 150 on 4 GB of RAM A-Data RAM owns Buy some. That OEM RAM 20 bux a Stick. Crap! All OEM lcomputers suck Fo Real. User error, bad purchase
@Raja221 Aww yeah, I like Linux, However none of my art and editing software will work on it, and I have tried using Wine installer. It just didn't do anything D=>
i know that is hard. but i always blamed these damn 3rd party companies who dont want to release anything for windows. however for editing videos i would suggest KDENlive and/or Openshot on linux. and older photoshot versions do work on wine. but like i said its not linux's fault that companies refuse to release anything for it. linux trippled on teh dekstops in just 2 years. from 07 - 07 there was an inclerease from 1% to 3%.
I wouldnt blame vista. We're using it on at least 30 machines at work and I've got 2 computers at home.
Vista makes full use of all your ram so its possible that you may have some bad ram at a memory location which XP was never using.
Download and burn a memory test CD called memtest86+ and then boot off of it and let the memory test run 2-3 passes. If you get any errors, you've got faulty memory.
Sweet. Ya I've found in my experience that 99% of windows problems are actually caused or triggered by third party applications or software...thats why at our work, for mission critical machines, we install windows and only the absolute necessary apps and nothing else and knock on wood, the computers end up rock solid.
Yeah, that is what I'm hoping to get when I build a new pc. I have some money, but still need some more to get the other parts. might do a video on building it.
im upgrading to windows 7 too my cousin is doing it for me i heard its good i just need to back up some of my stuff on a flash drive or external hard drive
Sweet, then you should have nothing to worry about when it comes to gaming and working. my computer locks up all the darn time. I'll have to go to tigerdirect and buy the oem version of windows 7. Those are cheaper there. but good luck with everything man, hope it works out fine for you.
This also happend to me, but when i clicked it i can shut the white screen of death down, but with me java was the problem.
