Beds of trucks are supposed to flex, just because it moves around doesnt mean its junk. The f150's frame may last longer, but it doesnt hold a load as well as the tundra does. Im saying this because I have driven both truck with load, and I found the tundra handled payload, and towing a trailer better. However, both trucks did have good quality. I'm just saying.

Toyota truck frames are made out of flimsy stamped sheet metal, the same things they also made the body out of. There is so much plastic(imitation metal) on toyota trucks its retarded. They are geared for acceleration(much like a car) while a ford truck is geared for power and torque. Toyota has done nothing but copy american trucks since day 1. Tundra/Tacoma are knockoffs of the f-150/Ranger and are much less reliable, less powerful, less...everything

My 02 Ranger 4x4 with the 4.0 has 245 horsepower stock, correct me if im wrong but the new tacoma 4x4 trd has about 260HP? with my cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust my Ranger puts out 270+HP. Ford has neglected the Ranger for the past 6 or 7 years because they are too busy dominating the midsize and fullsize truck market with the superduty and the F-150. A new tacoma would be nice.

I like how Toy-ota tries to compete in the Truck game, but no matter what they do and how they build it , they are always a couple of steps behind .The build decent trucks but its like there is something missing compared to the American Trucks. Tacomas are far more "American" than those other mid size trucks, except for Dodge Dakota (which has horrible reliability). And Ford doesn't even make a real midsize truck.

ok, first of all Toyota trucks are built in Texas! thats right they are a US built truck w a jap name. Having used many trucks from an s10 up to a ford f450 for industrial construction work I would have to say that my 08 Tundra tops them all when you combined all aspects. the tundra has the same payload weight as and f350 can pull quite an impressive load as well, It doesnt look like the truck in this video has he TRD offroad package which would have made a difference.
and you expect me to believe that a tundra isn't as well built as another truck when toyota is famed for reliability. That to be honest comes down to suspension. The tundra has a stiffer ride so the rear of the truck wont sag as much when under a large load

Their "home office" is in Torrance California. Fords are made in Guatemala and Canada, while Chevy's are made in Canada and a few in the U.S. . If you wish to deny this, you can, but the truth is that Toyotas are put together better. Just because something has an American name on it, doesn't mean it is.

Wow, that is A LOT of frame twist. I cannot believe how much that rear frame twists on the Tundra. Didn't the engineers do any torsional analysis on thie frame model?? Do the Toyota engineers have flexable or finite element analysis tools available to them when designing a frame?? The rear of that "truck" looks like it's all over the place. Toyota should just stick to engineering cars...although, lately, they cannot even do that right.
To be honest tho, if u go on the highways and follow a ford. You will see the bed shake. Toyotas shake alot in the rear. BUT Chevys and GMCs do not, what-so-ever shake or move. #Like A Rock.

My 02 Ranger 4x4 with the 4.0 has 245 horsepower stock, correct me if im wrong but the new tacoma 4x4 trd has about 260HP? with my cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust my Ranger puts out 270+HP. Ford has neglected the Ranger for the past 6 or 7 years because they are too busy dominating the midsize and fullsize truck market with the superduty and the F-150. A new tacoma would be nice.

I like how Toy-ota tries to compete in the Truck game, but no matter what they do and how they build it , they are always a couple of steps behind .The build decent trucks but its like there is something missing compared to the American Trucks. Ford,Chevy,and Dodge have been perfecting their Trucks for years.. And I know the Toyota is built in Texas but they design it and all of its parts in Japan.

Tacoma's were designed by American engineers and have more than 60% American made parts, compared to fewer than 40% American-made parts for the Japanese-designed GMC Canyon/Chevy Colorado. Tacomas are far more "American" than those other mid size trucks, except for Dodge Dakota (which has horrible reliability). And Ford doesn't even make a real midsize truck.

ok, first of all Toyota trucks are built in Texas! thats right they are a US built truck w a jap name. Having used many trucks from an s10 up to a ford f450 for industrial construction work I would have to say that my 08 Tundra tops them all when you combined all aspects. the tundra has the same payload weight as and f350 can pull quite an impressive load as well, It doesnt look like the truck in this video has he TRD offroad package which would have made a difference.

I'm not sure, but in australia we have hundreds of km's of that style of road, and we WILL NOT use a ford/chevy/dodge, even though they are for sale in aus.
Tundra is not a Hilux or a landcruiser, so I really don't know. However, anybody that doesn't want to get stranded in the outback, in the middle of nowhere, without anybody driving on that road for a few days... yeah, you drive a toyota.

@390merc65 Yes they are. They are composed here, companies in Ohio and Indiana (mainly Indiana or thats where i got mine from). They moved to their capital building in Torrance in 1957. Their "home office" is in Torrance California. Fords are made in Guatemala and Canada, while Chevy's are made in Canada and a few in the U.S. . If you wish to deny this, you can, but the truth is that Toyotas are put together better. Just because something has an American name on it, doesn't mean it is.

Wow, that is A LOT of frame twist. I cannot believe how much that rear frame twists on the Tundra. Didn't the engineers do any torsional analysis on thie frame model?? Do the Toyota engineers have flexable or finite element analysis tools available to them when designing a frame?? The rear of that "truck" looks like it's all over the place. Toyota should just stick to engineering cars...although, lately, they cannot even do that right.

@4x4usatrucks I don't think that it is only frame twist. It looks like the suspension is also flawed, and unable to compensate for the terrain.

To be honest tho, if u go on the highways and follow a ford. You will see the bed shake. Toyotas shake alot in the rear. BUT Chevys and GMCs do not, what-so-ever shake or move. #Like A Rock.

@1997FordProbeGT Ive seen Toyota trucks get completely mangled as well, but I have never seen a Ford truck (or Chevy, or Dodge for that matter) break in half just from being used as a work truck. Ever since the mid to late 90s Toyota trucks have been breaking in half (without being in a wreck). How is this tough? Tough luck maybe.

trucks are not a big thing here in Australia. Unless your hauling big loads consistently, trucks like these will just make you look like your compensating for something else
