@WeedtoFeed if youre come form a country which is the member of EU youre considered an home appliant so this is sistem applies for you too but if you come form a country which is NOT A EU MEMBER
It's all very well unless you're in the Muslim minority, or, in fact, anyone else who refrains from dealing in interest for moral reasons. I understand we're a minority, so I'm not demanding a changed system for us, but just be more cautious of the word "everyone" because we do exist, and we do have to pay our fees up front to avoid the interest. So to answer that last question, no I can't afford to go to university. My elder brother went, my parents paid upfront. I can't.
@8xNinjax8 There's always education in muslim countries, nobody says you have to study in the UK. Be an international student and embrace your heritage.
@MeesterWolf99 It'd most likely be even more expensive there, not that I've researched. However I am aware if I went to the Netherlands, I could study for about 1500 pounds a year...that's missing the point though; I wasn't complaining either way, just pointing out that not every British student can afford education after the fee rise, contrary to what the video claims. Besides which, I don't want to go and live somewhere else when England is home.
@8xNinjax8 Yep they say Holland is a great place to do a MA. I'm struggling in my second undergraduate year as an over 25 independent learner, no parental/family support - doing it all on my own. Student Finance are obviously a lifeline but its a lot of debt to juggle.
Competition for places might settle down, but I wonder about how many intellectuals won't enter higher education for monetary reasons - sad times ahead, & you're right... at £9000 a year many see it as far too much debt.
Wish you were related to me.

Does this new system also apply to international students? meaning students that come from outside of Britain to study there.
