i have a couple things on my panther ,,did you get good gains from the headers? when i did all my mods the best one was my 93octane tune,,i didnt feal the throttlebody , plenum and the duals,,,the duals i felt at the top end but nothing that big ?? i am going to get the stainless works header and would like to know if its a waste of money,,lol,,i was told you will gain a min of 20rwhp is this true ?,,thanx

If that engine is stock, I guarantee your gonna blow a spark plug eventually. Crown Vics are one of the most reliable vehicles on the markets, even by todays standards. However, the two noted problems with these engines are the intake manifold failure (pre 2003, and Ford offered a fair service bulletin) and spark plug's are known to shoot out easily due to the aluminum head Ford used instead of the steel one they used in the Mustang. I know because both of them have happened to me. 200k miles+

I have a 1995 Crown Vic in really good shape..It has 105k miles on it, but needs tons of mods...I do have a question though, My entire exhaust system is bad, all the way up to the exhaust manifolds..Will that hurt the engine, hurt horsepower and compression?

@DonBell2007 it wont really hurt tthe engine as bad as u think if the cats are plugged then yeah ur looking at some problems with power and such but the main concern is the head gaskets to much back pressure will blow gaskets and it might create high combustion temps and run ur nox up if ur a cali car or a smog state

a stock 2002-2005 Ford Falcon XT with a 5.4L 3V engine will mash these underpowered "similar engines to a 5.4L" 4.6L Crown Vic, easy. check out a Ford FAIRLANE G220 here in Australia and Fairlane G8, they are the real crown vic.
