  • I'm a cop you moron. And during the first week on the job I caught a 48 yr old male trying to pick up a 8 yr old girl in a retired crown vic that stated to the girl that he was a police officer. And if you knew how we drove those you would regret buying it!

  • @RCMPxGRC "if you knew how we drove those you would regret buying it!" what are you trying to say? I don't get it? And you're a cop, calling people morons on YouTube.. WAY TO GO

  • @th3m8ngtree Because he is not really a Cop lol. If he were, He would hate the term "cop" like they all do. He would have said i am a Police officer or officer of the law haha

  • @RCMPxGRC

I bought one, I didn't regret it. Awesome car, well maintained, fun to throw around, built like a tank, and dirt cheap. ::trollface:: And I've never had so much 8 year old ass in my life. ::trollface:: For me, my CVPI is just big, comfortable, cheap fun. My first car was also a Panther, so it brings back memories.

RWD, body on frame, V8 4-door sedans are no more after the Crown Vic. Might as well enjoy them while they last. :)

  • @RCMPxGRC, nice call, officer (I am from Canada to)!

  • @RCMPxGRC I understand in America they are going to be having day set aside for police to commit suicide and another for them to be killed. Why do you not get a real job asshole and take a hot knife and shove it up your culo.

  • @PepperWhite62 Haha! A real job? You couldn't do half the job they do.

  • @PareoNullus533 I spent over 25 years as a carrer criminal. I started in residential burglary and then went on to commercial work. I ended up in white color crime. Seven arrests, no convictions. Today I am retired and teach criminal justice at a state university. I saved my money, made investments and paid self employment tax. Acting as an independent I was never affiliated with any type of organized crime. I AM very proud of my career and have no regrets. I never employed violence of any kind.

  • HA HA FUNNY to bad the interceptor package isnt in it thats just a heavy crown vic and try to break 80 with it you wont they put the govner back on it to.

  • @SgtMustang375 A stock Crown Vic have trouble breaking 80? Are you smoking crack? I have a stock Crown Vic LX and I've had it up to 120 MPH. BTW, the governors limit them to 129 MPH if it's not a P71. And that's because of lack of perfect driveshaft balance, not availibility of power.

  • @ProjectOpiateX but with the extra weight put on the car form the cage and reenforcments in the frame and such its to heavy and it would take alot of room to break 80 and another thing is the engine is so worn down guess wat i win

  • @SgtMustang375 You win? What is this - the internet olympics? Or are you Charlie Sheen's brother? You don't know what you're talking about. There are NO reinforcements added to the frame of a P71. The cage and pushbar together probably weigh around 100 lbs. MAYBE 150 lbs. Not enough to make any significant difference when it comes to performance. I can do 120MPH with 4 people in my car. I'm sure a P71 can do it with one cop and the weight of a couple of people in additional equipment.

  • @ProjectOpiateX He's right on this one, I worked for a body shop / upfitter ant the radios, gear, cage and 100lb A PIECE bumper guards add a lot of weight and cost. One fully outfitted car can cost up to 100k. The light bar adds drag. And some cars had 3.73:1 rears some have 4.11:1. They used a aluminum drive shaft to make up for the weight.

  • @SgtMustang375 As far as the engines being worn down, you are wrong there too. Fleet cars for law enforcement are almost always meticulously maintained as far as oil changes and such. And it's not like these cars are doing 120 MPH all day, every day. Chases at high speeds are not very common. Most of the cars I've seen for sale have anywhere from 100K to 160K on the odometers so they are not totally worn out by any means.

  • @ProjectOpiateX HA HAHAHAHAHA omfg ur so wrong the last car we had to get rid of it had a fucking hole in the bottom of it. these cars get atleast 170K b4 we get rid of them atleast some go till 200K and maintained???? the cars go for almost a month over due on oil alone

  • @SgtMustang375 What dept? The dealer I goto has them at 75-150k Avg turn around time is 2 years. I had one got to 300k and I bought @125k for 3,000$ I'd say I made out well. I am a contractor so It makes a good off road car. Took a real beating

  • @ProjectOpiateX Driving miles are better than idle hours, my 2 (of 3) was a handicap parking enforcement street package. died premature @200k miles.

  • People who own retired police cars= wannabe cops, pedophiles

  • @RCMPxGRC People who bash people who own retired police cars = spineless pussy-whipped armchair commandos. I'm not afraid to own and drive something that is both powerful and beautiful. My CVLX has a big vinyl anarchy "A" sticker on the trunk to dispel any notion of me being a wannabe cop. Pedophiles? Where did that come from? Do you have a guilty conscience or something?

  • @RCMPxGRC Not really wannabe cops, or pedos. I want one of these because of the meticulous maintenence they have, they look good, run like a scalded dog, have a ton of room for hauling the family and groceries, with some modifications weekend trips to the drag strip as these are basically four-door Mustangs. I have 2 young daughters and anybody who touches them is going to the hospital in a best case scenario. Don't judge the masses by the actions of a few.

  • @SLKclan America isn't a country, it's a general region of the west containing two continents, North America, and South America. Also, these are Quebecois people from Quebec, Canada. They aren't so foreign to the USA retard.

  • Fuckin Fags!! slow as shit!!

  • I really dont see how you can call that having power, i can do that with my old 110hp opel/vauxhall manta from the eighties, it burns rubber for as long as i can keep my foot down on the gaspedal...

  • car is good, but shut up if you hold camera

  • where do you live with this car ?

  • yayayaayyyayyayyyyyaaaaayyaaayaayaya

  • I'd like to get me a CVPI.

  • I own a '97 p71, great car, it's a fucking sleeper.

I have given a Mustang GT a run for its money.

He smoked me off the line, but as we hit 75mph I went on past him. Have to love the gearing on a P71!

  • Same exact thing happen to me got smoked off the line and when second gear hit and pulled i pulled right past him...

  • LOL you can't beat a Mustang GT at any speed, stop speading lies.

  • i do believe they take out the chip before they sell used interceptors..yeah they do still have power but not the same power without the chip...

  • the crown vic is definetly holds together better, its got great room, its trunks huge, fast, reliable, and cheap to fix. i have a 2005 crwn vic police intercepter and im only 16.

  • I had my 96 when I was 15 :p haha

  • Kaz van treacure dis Kop KarsQ

  • ur HIT BAY

  • HAHAHA kelle douchebag ... tu te la pete un peu trop jtrouve

  • gratz. you did a spin out on dirt/gravel. nice car nonetheless.

  • Wow I can do that on asphalt not dirt.

  • ditto and i have the same car as this

  • Crown vics F T W!!!

  • shit mines has 40079.000 miles and still running strong ass hell plus i treat it like shit.

  • I hear misconceptions about these cars all the time. I personally own a '02 P71 with 80k. If taken care of, these cars last well beyond 200k. They have more than just a tuned chip in them. Why do you think that the Crown Vic is still the only car crash rated at a 75mph rear-end collision? How about that it is the only car in it's class to go 13 years strong with a 5 star safety rating? Granted the 4.6L used in them is only a SOHC but its plenty of power. The only thing better is a Police Charger

  • Chargers are great cars and are pretty "speedy," but the trannies in them aren't the greatest.

  • haha he almost lost it.

  • Hey, how can I adjust headlight beams on a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria? Got one pointing too far to the right and the other pointing dead center of the road. Any way to correct this without taking it to a garage???

  • there are adjustment "screws" really pegs on the back of the headlights you have to take the black cover off the top that is between the radiator and the grill

  • Hey thanks for the info.

  • your welcome if you need anymore info dont hesitate to ask

  • very good spin!!!

  • does it still have the cop chip?

  • what 'cop chip'? p71's are just REALLY fine tuned with light body and parts, no special chip or nething....

  • im not stupid. i own a p71. i know there is not cop chip....im just an ass

  • oh lol ok, just thought id let u know=P

  • there is no cop chip but the computer is tuned

  • Are you stupid? P71's DO NOT have the stock computer in it. I am in the process in converting my Grand Marquis over to one and in the junk yard I damn near gutted the crown vic.

  • i never said anything about the computer, i said it doesnt have any 'chip' BUT IT DOES HAVE THE SAME COMPUTER, only difference is that its fine tuned. my buddy works for ford at the dealership, he gets p71's come in all the time from the local police dept. the computer is the same, ITS JUST TUNED FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE, the gear shift points, timing, oil pressure, etc all is changed to give higher outputs, and the body is lighter, better brakes and drivetrain (tougher) all else is same.

  • Yeah but your in more dust and dirt than real pavement bud. But it's ok we will let it slide this time...

  • have you ever driven a low millage one. ive driven them with 75k miles and dam they do that easy on the other hand by the time they hit 125k miles of cop car service they usually are relatively gutless i unfortunately most cop cars aren't released at under 100k miles the one i had was totaled out in the side i had to use another body and frame.

  • shit mines got 200,000 now and still powerful as ever

  • then its either extremely well taken care of or you don't know what your talking about they last forever i know a cop who used a car took care of it then bought it when they retired it he got over 400k and sold it running on original power train but its a known fact that cars start loosing power as they get higher millage easily upto 50% on a high output engine compare it to one with 20k miles and you would see its not anywheres near close. don't believe me go run it on a local dyno.

  • I have one with 69,200 on it and I can tell you it's still going strong (it was odd because it was an '03 with that few miles; most '03s nowadays have 130-140k on them when you get them.)

It could use a nice performance tune on it, though, and maybe a little bit of fuel system cleaner, but take care of these cars and they'll be a good ride for perhaps a good decade.

  • i got an '03 p71 with 63,500 miles, open exhaust, cold air intake, and all the police goodies( aluminum driveshaft, limited slip, and computer tuned) have had it up to 145 and no problems at all! i would NEVER trade my vic for a charger anyday. btw the only reason police use chargers now is becuase of mileage since they use the v6 model.

  • My local department chargers have the Hemi's.

  • yeah i wasnt clear enough with my statement....MOST police dept.'s have the v6's. I know the police dept in my old city the detective had a blacked out hemi charger...pretty sweet i thought but still like mine better

  • Makes sense since (No brag intended) my department has all the money in the world in our rich community. The Impala's were also V6's so your right.

  • the ones here are srt8

6.1L 426 hp and get better mpg than the P71.

they use chargers cus they are faster and better on gas.

  • we have chargers and magnums and they look to be the normal 5.7 hemis

  • ours look like regular 5.7s too but when that hood came up i knew it was a 6.1

  • First off, crown vics are more resilient and cheaper to repair than the Dodge Charger because the vics have body on frame.

Sure their faster, but they have a lot less room, accomadate less passengers, have a trunk that is literally half the size of the vic, and is a Chrysler product, which generally means shit reliability.

  • police want smaller now because it is easier to control, faster and better MPG , the charger trucks still are big enough to carry a normal load for local cops (ive noticed our state and county still use p71s) normal police dont need a back seat to have 4 people fit in it.

your right that the charger is smaller but it still performs better than a p71.

PS- I OWN TWO POLICE INTERCEPTORS

  • Well, the Charger still doesn't have two important things that police want. Nor does the Impala. Those things are:

    1. Reliability

    2. Body on Frame

There is no doubt that the Crown Vic is the most reliable, as Police usually ditch them at 600k miles.

And Body on Frame is better for the police than Unibody because it is sturdier, as well as a lot cheaper to repair, as you don't have to change the whole frame for a bumper dent.

  • lol the impala isnt good cus its a FWD

cant really say all police ditch cars at 600,000 lol guess you ment 60,000 mine had 150,000+ and was acting all kinds of crazy

  • same with the intrepid. FWD is boring and hell to work on. even tune ups are torture.

  • dude you must be high. most agencies don't keep em past 80k or 100K miles.

  • Eh, my bad. That would be taxi companies that ditch them at around 200k mileage but some go up to even 600k mileage before their dealt out.

I have seen some Police Interceptors on sale with over 200k miles though. Although you are right they usually deal em out at 100k or 120k.

Still lasts longer than the competition ;)

  • sure...we def believe you...ive driven a few "corvette cop cars" and they suck...with wider tires they outhandle the crown vic though...they dont roll as hard...still suck

  • Corvette never been an actual Corvette Police Car, only concepts. Nice try buddy

  • im pretty sure ive seen one, i think it was a police seizure. they might not have really used it.

  • uh no. youre actually the one thats wrong- i own a company that outfits vehicles with emergency lighting and we have now done 2 corvettes. they do exist in life as police vehicles- the two that we outfitted were called rapid intervention vehicles

  • Corvette is not a "Rapid Intervention Vehicle" Send me proof, surely your company would have a picture to upload, or even a job description.

  • i dont have to send you shit. you have some serious trust issues my friend and you need to learn to accept that you can be wrong sometimes. im not about to waste my time digging through files just to prove you worng. im not so self centere that i always hae to be right. and it turns out that only one was a corvette. the other was a camaro. (i admit when i make a mistake)

  • @mikeat88

As do you not trusting the listed statistics.

I know some Companies underestimate there cars performance.

But Numerous statistics claim 8.4 0-60.

  • i believe the statistics. im through with this argument. its pointless and i have other things that i need to be doing. have a good afternoon. ( ive got to say, however, you know how to argue your point. i give you credit on that)

  • i will my dad has one with 187,000 old cop car had the hell run out of it it has no probs and origanal everything and i have asked cops and never goten that answer also my uncle has one with 308,000 miles origanl everything so dont tell me they dont last you are not a tech you are a chevy guy trying to make ford look bad

  • shitty reliablility? Im not one for dodges, but our family owned a 94 chrysler grand caravan which went to 200k and still had life left in it. The only major problem with it was that the auto tranny went out once or twice, but that happens with every auto trans. Some are better, some are worse.

  • Dodge was pretty reliable before it got bought by Daimsler AG and their vehicles fitted with budget German engines.

The Panther Platform was reliable in the 80's, and is now much more reliable in 2009.

200k miles is common in taxi Crown Vic's, and taxi drivers drive them like they hate them.

  • @CsalbertCs yuppp i got a crown vic thts an 03 model it has over 423,000 miles and still runs amazing, talk about liability. i gas it and burnout alot never has given me problems. Crown vics rule!!!!

  • @CsalbertCs Agree on many points. Crown Victorias are the best police cars in many ways, thats probably why they are the longest running model used by police. I am the proud owner of a 98 P71, however Chrysler products are not shit...the Hemi's are good motors.

  • @moparmaniac21 yes i love my 99p71

  • @moparmaniac21 Chryslers are as good as any other car, they just don't make good cop cars. The Chargers in general are very fast and handle well, but the problem is that the transmission and parts just aren't beefed up enough to handle getting the crap beat out of them every day for 5 or 6 years. My cousin is a police officer in a suburb south of Pittsburgh, and he's maintained that the Charger is fast, but simply is cramped and too unreliable to be a regular on duty.

  • @redoctober90 the Chargers are good patrol cars, I never said they werent...as you stated they are fast. What I was saying is the Crown Vic is tougher and has a huge reputation for being THE police car. Ford owns about 70% of the police vehicle market, I still dont know why they are killing off the Vic.

  • @moparmaniac21 Times change least they got the 2012 Taurus just hope is toatin the SHO so it can hand dodge and all them their arzz

  • @moparmaniac21 Hopefull the taurus kicks in dont wanna c that P.O.S 2012 caprice looks like a dang minature impala/malibu "CHEVY STOP CROSS BREEDING"

  • lol nice pun...let it slide hahahaha. true though that most bicycles can do that in dirt and dust.

  • fok man esti j en veux trop un !!!! combien ta payer ca ??? trop phat

  • very nice spin
