  • scooby a few questions, i cycle for about 1 hour, about 15 km a day, and then head home for weightlifting, whats your advice on this?

  • scooby, just to tell you, your the best and i hope that the people that try to steal and use your videos to make money will be caught and severly punished =-)

  • karma...

really good... really slow though... I didnt realize it was supposed to be THAT slow though.

    Yeah you saved another life!

  • Man, I don't know why you are so kind giving all this advice for free with the website and the videos, but it helps a whole lot..man thanks, really. You really make sense and provide good advice. GOD bless you!!!

  • thanks scoob i will try that

  • so are you suppose to lift the weight until you cant lift anymore?

  • When you are doing a set, you keep doing reps till you cant possibly do another. Then for added intensity you can either 1) go Really slowly down on the last rep (15-30seconds) 2) do a drop set, that is, without rest drop to about 50% less weight and do another set or 3) have a spotter help you do 3-4 more reps.

  • lol i workout out for about 5 hours today and stopped when my arms went numb and started to spasm

but i was doing same thing with 80 and 90 pound curls

    lol

  • alright that helped a lot thanks, you saved another life scoob! lolc

  • i dont understand why you use low weights is it better to use low weight or high weight >_> or do u just lift your maximum..

  • You use the most weight you possibly can and still lift with perfect form for the desired number of reps.

  • Hi, you seem to use dumbbells as much as you can. What is your opinion on barbells for compound movements such as deadlifts?

  • I think deadlifts and squats are an excellent exercise if you are young and have an experienced coach or physical therapist who can show you how to do them without seriously injuring yourself, for the rest of us I would say to avoid them.

  • i hear the ez bars only work out the bracheallis but not the bicep brachie as much

  • hi, am i right in thinkiin that using a straight barbell rather than an EZ bar, creates a thicker width to biceps? thnks

  • I'm not convinced there is anything you can do to make the bicep 'thicker', you can just make the whole thing bigger which makes it wider. Many people, myself included, cant do barbell curls with a straight bar because it hurts our wrists so we are stuck with the ez-curl bar.

  • Hi nice strength and thanks for the tip. I usually do them too fast oops.. lol

  • nice man i do most of your excersises now and only after a few weeks im noticeing a difference, nice job and nice website also

  • Great to hear!

  • wow cool :D

  • great videos man, awesome technique and physique. very clever contraptions also. Don't listen to that asshole wiggasfahdays telling you that you're wrong. Your technique works well for you and many other people, works perfectly for me also. He's just pullin some internet tough talk. And if he does have a technique that never failed him, that's just another technique, not the only technique. If he were to be genuine, his criticism would have likely been more constructive than it was harsh.

  • I didn't think it was a harsh comment, just his opinion and observations of Schwarzenegger's technique. I am actually in two minds about fast or slow as I usually go quite slow but recently saw Arnie going fast. I guess if going slower helps keep correct form then I should stick to that and Scooby proves that slow doesn't hurt the end result at all.

Keep up the good work man. Great videos =)

  • You are doing a great service with these videos. Mostly for BODYBUILDERS. And you keep repeating the words "strict form" , great. Im more for brute strength myself. Still great stuff, i´m noting parts of it for my next workout. thanks

  • im glad to see a guy on youtube thata ctuly does the exercises correctly and doesnt cheat by using ur back and swinging. thanks for the advice champ keep up the good work!

  • man, you have a great body!

I only disagree with the "do it really slow" part, ever saw shawn ray training? :p

  • Thanks man!

  • i cant thank you enough, ive seen more result with your workout than what i have been calling a workout for the past 3 years. THANK YOU SO MUCH SCOOBY

  • Cool!!!

  • Good, solid advice....good work.

  • i was taught that you should not stretch your elbow all the way, like your arm becomes a straight line, but to keep a little tension, and then go back up

  • ur practically the only guy on youtube with a nice form, cheers

  • Thanks!

  • Man you need to make more videos, great advice. Can you do one for stomach muscle development? (like lie flat on your back and raise your feet a few inches off ground etc)

That would be very much appreciated

  • You know, I dont like those. I have lower back problems and doing any leg raise type exercise really causes me lots of pain. I know they work the other part of the abs but I just cant do them.

  • Absolutely no problem man, I completely understand.

I wouldn't know what food would help with muscle developments. Any Ideas?

Breakfast: Porridge, Banana, Pear, Glass of water/Apple Juice

Lunch: Turkey, Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber Sandwich with Wholemeal Bread, and Butter, Pear, and Orange

    Dinners:

    - Vegtable soup with sliced chicken and potatoes

    - Two Garlic Chicken Kievs with carrots, peas, gravy and potatos

    - Steak, peas, carrots, gravy and potatoes

    - Spaghetti Bolognese

  • very informative

  • Not bad.

  • thank you very much for showing us how to do it right.

  • perfect move

  • The is *no* need to do these slowly-this is only 1 style. The most effective IMO is to use normal rep speed in fairly strict fashion, then throw in some cheats after reaching failure. This method was Schwarzenegger's approach, he seemed to do alright. ;-)

  • hmm.... im not sure if its right to make the arm completely strecthed when being down with the weight... couldnt this cause problems / injuries to the ellbow? i use to never strech the elbow completely during this exercise... im not sure about this so correct me if i am wrong

  • You're right. Avoiding the total extension you minimize elbow injuries risk. Specially if you have to do a lot of reps or do such exercizes regularly.

  • cool nice tips.. Thx

  • Thank you so much for this, they are really helpful
