  • You forgot to mention that the ford D44 is the only one that has a high pinion dodge and chev ran low pinion 44s lol. Any more progress vids past this one? Looks like your doing a great job. Im not a Ford fan but im a bit of a sucker for this bodystyle and the EB's.

  • Well that's good.Sounds like it's gonna last ya for a long time.Good luck with it man.

  • It's lookin good man.Hope they beefed up that AOD when they rebuilt it,they're not the best transmissions from factory.Other than that it's lookin beautiful.

  • ya when they pulled it apart to swap out the tail shafts, (had to pull out the short rwd shaft, for the longer 4x4 shaft) they discovered the power band was smoked, due to the throttle linkage not being properly connected in its previous life in another vehicle, the TV cable has to be setup right to the throttle, otherwise the pump in the transmission won't work right, thus the transmission will get smoked!!!!

  • thus they rebuilt the whole transmission, new power band, new clutch packs, and they even added extra clutch packs, and put in a mild shift kit, and totally went over the transmission, thus it should be a good transmission, also got a brand new stainless steel Lokar TV cable, the transmission guy has already set it up, thus it should be good to go! and now its BUILT FORD TOUGH for sure!
