I once tried to sell a complete Anime Box Set over at F.Y.E once. 8 DVDs i think, 26 Episodes, all in a box and in great condition. They would only give me 8 Dollars for it, I did not sell my DVD's. Later on i browsed through the anime section and they had other USED individual copies of the same anime priced at 16.99 and above for just one DVD. All i can say is WTF?!
Well, the DBz seasons Arnt box sets FYI, box sets in anime are combo packs that come with something special. There are lots of big print telling you what qualifies for those sales. Also, prices are sometimes higher or lower than gamestops. New games are always cheaper at fye and some of the used can be a bit less.

So I go and get my Three Cd's and then they told me up in front that it was only a coupld of CD's and they showed me in a this book which ones. i think fye did that shit because their past deals were too specific. for example, they had this one deal for buy one get one free cds but right at the bottom it said in little letters, only cds $11.99. i couldn't find any cd for that price & i was fuckin searchin like the shit was gold. its a shame when a store teases & tricks their customers just to make a quick buck.
I fell for the same plot @ FYE! They told me the BOGO Free only applied to titles released by Geneon Ent.. I think Geneon was closing down or some sh!t. Luckily, I liked alot of Geneon titles so i got Get Backers Season 1 and some other shit.
I figured this was another reason besides the Funimation-related reason i posted because Geneon USA closed their doors in September 07 and there's still DVDs in shelves today (not counting the shows that Funimation saved) so it makes sense to get rid of those.
And that why stores go bankrupt and have to permanently close,..

A couple of months ago, I went to FYE to get the new Heltah Skeltah CD. Not only they didn't have it, the guy that work there didn't know who Heltah Skeltah was. But yet, they have every mainstream, commerical, Hip Pop artists you can think of. I had to get my CD from Best Buy.
The anime sales i've seen in FYE and Best Buy are only Funimation-related products so that could be another reason since Ranma 1/2 is a Viz product but either way it's fucked up because the less sales there are in these stores the more the shelves get bigger and the more people shop online at websites like Amazon & Right Stuf since there's huge sales there.
Jersey Gardens = Awesome food court with TVs. (Do they still have Ranch 1 there?)

Fye has albums that no other store has. Underground, old school, all rap that i like. But the cd's are fucking 20 or more dollars!! illmatic was 23$ but i was so pshyched to get it i just said fuck it. Thank god the album was worth every penny.

Hell yeah, This same shit happened to me also Faded. They had a sale thats said in big letters "Buy 2 CD's get 1 free". <<< That's all it said. So I go and get my Three Cd's and then they told me up in front that it was only a coupld of CD's and they showed me in a this book which ones. I was pissed because it was a bunch of CD's I didn't want. Bullshit.

i think fye did that shit because their past deals were too specific. for example, they had this one deal for buy one get one free cds but right at the bottom it said in little letters, only cds $11.99. i couldn't find any cd for that price & i was fuckin searchin like the shit was gold. its a shame when a store teases & tricks their customers just to make a quick buck.

I fell for the same plot @ FYE! They told me the BOGO Free only applied to titles released by Geneon Ent.. I think Geneon was closing down or some sh!t. Luckily, I liked alot of Geneon titles so i got Get Backers Season 1 and some other shit.

A couple of months ago, I went to FYE to get the new Heltah Skeltah CD. Not only they didn't have it, the guy that work there didn't know who Heltah Skeltah was. But yet, they have every mainstream, commerical, Hip Pop artists you can think of. I had to get my CD from Best Buy.

The anime sales i've seen in FYE and Best Buy are only Funimation-related products so that could be another reason since Ranma 1/2 is a Viz product but either way it's fucked up because the less sales there are in these stores the more the shelves get bigger and the more people shop online at websites like Amazon & Right Stuf since there's huge sales there.
Jersey Gardens = Awesome food court with TVs. (Do they still have Ranch 1 there?)
