Reading through peoples' comments, it is clear that this song evokes feelings of a lost summer many years back for so many people. JC was obvsly in touch with that stream of feeling in his life but what is more amazing is the way he has translated that into a song that evokes the same mood in all these people.
@lizagro. Different Class, Hardcore & We Love Life are all brilliant albums but I too believe that His N Hers is the best. It has a pureness, an innocence, a simplicty that's hard to describe. It's other worldly, kind from another age, if you see what I mean...
What an incredible poem, set on an immense soundscape - I've loved this song for 15 years and it still has a huge effect on me - so descriptive - what a man
I was in the garden talking to somebody Polish....

Such a good tune, my personal favorite - underestimated band and I can say that as a Who, Stones, Beatles die hard

For those of a certain age and disposition it's arguably one of the most emotive songs of all time. I adore it.

@marlonbarnes ear candy! I've been trying to find a way to describe Pulp to friends, and I think you've said it best.
His n Hers has to be their best album, might be for nostalgic reasons, but I always come back to this album
