Funny, I could ask you the same question. The thing is: back in the day when these stuff were new they cost a lot of money. And no guy with a brain in his head would pay that much money to play an old game on a new console. Its not the game thats bad (I love pac-man), its the ide. @LegendOfAGamer I agree, he has a great voice, and that's why I like this channel (and that he's informative without being too biased). AVGN has an alright voice, too (when he's not angry lol) The other guy that seldom does CGR with the higher pitched voice sounds kind of annoying, and some other reviewers I've tried out like Irate Gamer simply have grating voices that you can't really listen to over and over. You could be an encyclopedia on info, but it is the voice that can draw people in too!

Agaim, everyone, for those that own wired 6-button controllers hold the MODE button on top when turning the system on. It sadly is one of the games known to hsve issues with anything but the 3-button controllers.
Wow, the Genesis version is better than the 360 version. This should be on the VC! Dozens of unique, strategically designed mazes, better graphics than the arcade, adjustable difficulty levels, mini mazes, huge mazes that cannot be seen on the whole screen--this the whole package. I'm glad SEGA made this worth the money, because there was a time when there were horrible NES and Atari ports of arcade games selling for $60 with no content.

I actually own a copy of it, and it's really quite good, though much harder than the 2600 version of Ms. Pac-man. A pity Namco doesn't recognize it as an official Pac-man game, though.

Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge on the Playstation and Dreamcast is indeed better than the original, but is in 3D. That's pretty much the only successful 3D update to a classic.

There's a little pizza parlor within walking distance from my home that has a Ms. Pac-Man/ Galaga cocktail styled arcade cabinet. It has some great art on it of Ms. Pac-Man being watched by a manly ghost with huge hairy muscular arms.
Sometimes when you're playing it, random people will come up to you and put some quarters on the table saying " Here kid, have some quarters." It's awesome.

Mark, to make the 6 button arcade stick (and controllers) work with this game, hold down the mode button as it starts up. This and a few other games have a problem with 6 button controllers
Mark, there's an issue with the 6-button controllers in this game. It's a known issue with this and some other games. Unless you're using the 6-button Arcade Power Stick, your best bet is to hold down the controller's "MODE" button as you turn the system on. If you have aforementioned joystick, switch the stick to 3-button mode and you're good to go.
This may sound like blasphemy to ya, but have you ever considered building a MAME cab and putting your fave arcade games on it? Or having one built for you. Kinda get the true arcade feel for the games you love so much

Good ole Tengen. They made some of the best stuff. This game, including extra mazes, was also ported to the NES. Sadly, without Nerdtendo's licensing rights. Runs just as well as the Gene one. I prefere the NES port. Why? One reason. NES Advantage!!! True joystick. (See CGRHD's review on the Advantage.)

The speed boost was an available option on the arcade machines (which is why they included it on this game). It truly is the best console release of Ms. Pac-Man.
You should try the "Arrangements" found in the Namco Museum games. Pac-Mania & Pac-Attack are also amazing games!

I have this on for all my old systems atari 2600, 7800, nes, snes, gameboy. there is a homebrew for the atari 7800 Pac Man Collection that is awsome it even has the original Puck Man. You should review that one.
I have this and I played the mess out of it. Personally i like using my 6button controller over my 3 for this one because for some odd reason its more accurate *shrugs*.
I will say though, that out of almost all of the "revamped" pacmen games, Pac Mania for the genesis is my favorite. Genesis for-eva lol

ms.pac-man is better then pac-man because ms.pac-man has better graphics, more game play, more addicting, and less repetitive. But still pac-man is a awsome game.

To play with a 6 button controller, you have to hold down the mode button as you power up the game, then release it after the "Licenced by Sega Enterprise, blah blah blah" screen is gone
Loved the cocktail version in pizza hut... pizza or mountain dew in one hand, and playing the game with the other hand. Those days are gone.
Didn't care for this version, though they did okay with the self scrolling maze. The D pad is the problem. Then again, better than with the 5200 controller. Only thing worse than that is that madcatz joystick controller for the 360.
One classic game that HAS benefited form 3D... Dragon's Lair.

This has to be the only review where I felt I knew exactly what he was talking about the whole time.There is a deny's in oklahoma city(somewhere around there)that has,or at least used to have a sit down ms pacman machine....And I still know where my miss pacman for the sega genisis is(I hope)

This was actually one of my first games.
The speed boost was an available option on the arcade machines (which is why they included it on this game). It truly is the best console release of Ms. Pac-Man.
You should try the "Arrangements" found in the Namco Museum games. Pac-Mania & Pac-Attack are also amazing games!

Forgotten Worlds also doesn't work with the six button controller. Some older titles don't work with the 6 button controller. Why? Your guess is as good as mine.

I had this game on a compilation called "Super 8 in 1"..there was also a Pac Man game in 3D where Pac Man can jump..It was alright

@cookie123456789012 if you go to the one that has both ms.pacman and galaga then put in as many coins as it says and move the joystick in this order:
up,up,up, dwn,dwn,dwn, left,right, left,right, left.
then wait for the ghost in the corner to change color. start the game and see wat happens.

I have this on for all my old systems atari 2600, 7800, nes, snes, gameboy. there is a homebrew for the atari 7800 Pac Man Collection that is awsome it even has the original Puck Man. You should review that one.

I have this and I played the mess out of it. Personally i like using my 6button controller over my 3 for this one because for some odd reason its more accurate *shrugs*.
I will say though, that out of almost all of the "revamped" pacmen games, Pac Mania for the genesis is my favorite. Genesis for-eva lol

I had this game until one of my neighbors stole it. Fun game, the added mazes gave it more replay value. BTW, great review.

To play with a 6 button controller, you have to hold down the mode button as you power up the game, then release it after the "Licenced by Sega Enterprise, blah blah blah" screen is gone

Loved the cocktail version in pizza hut... pizza or mountain dew in one hand, and playing the game with the other hand. Those days are gone.
Didn't care for this version, though they did okay with the self scrolling maze. The D pad is the problem. Then again, better than with the 5200 controller. Only thing worse than that is that madcatz joystick controller for the 360.
