  • Thats Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

  • I hear the next GT will be even more realistic. You become a successful race car driver, win every race, and make millions of dollars. Then you and your girlfriend get married and have a baby. Then she tells you she doesn't want you to race anymore because she doesn't want to raise the kid alone, so you go out, drive drunk, and kill two teenagers. You spend half your life in jail, and when you get out, you find out your wife married a Nascar driver. So you kill yourself. SOUNDS AWESOME.

  • @Carrythxd damn that story sounded even better then the world premiere of modern warfare 3 by The Onion. LOL

    /watch?v=A5tRNs2X5Q4

  • that driver seemed lazy, he should have stayed in bed (DP wink wink)

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....its a joke...NOW i get it rofl

  • this sucks

  • Oyeee love the music

  • no

  • Damage in this game is absolutely stupid ! if someone want to try good realisitc game ,GRID is good choice.

  • reach a high level in gt5 like 50 and you will have awesome realistic damage :)

  • @scorpien32 But see, that's bullshit right there. Why do I have to be denied a fully realistic racing experience until I've pumped dozens of hours into game???? I just don't understand the concept of keeping the damage "censored" until you've gotten damn near burnt out on the game. If I take a real Ferrari out onto the track I can promise you it will get fucked up the FIRST time I hit something during a mistake. It won't wait until my 450th smash against the outer wall to take damage

  • @razorfett147 later you will have to repair your damaged car @ high level ..

but @ the beginning you dont have much money to repair all your cars when you are a bad driver ,,so the damage is really low at the beginning like level 16 ..

  • @scorpien32 So the more realistic, sim-like work around for this problem is to curb the actual damage to the car? Why not keep the actual damage model active at the beginning, and just curb the repair expenses until later levels? I just don't like what they did here. It doesn't make any sense, particularly for a game that is supposed to be all about being the ultimate console racing simulator. The consequences of bad driving should be equally realistic, both physical and financial.

  • What they need is Codemasters help with the damage. ( GRID )

  • @j00suckip00n exactly...

  • @j00suckip00n I agree, but let's face it. Codemasters has it easy considering their racing games tend to have fewer than 30 different vehicles in the lineup. It's easy to develop fairly accurate damage modeling for a few cars.........versus 1000+cars in a game like GT5. Every car is going to damage quite differently. It's just not possible to develop that level of damage on that many cars, even with more than 6 years of dev time. Hence the reason I think PD should not have even bothered

  • there is damage but you need to be at a certain level.. i recon its either cause itll be frustrating putting it in the beginning cause repairs are very expensive and you dont really have proper credits in the beginning (and lets be honest.. youd have to be pretty useless to crash a car like a renault megane) ..or.. polyphony made a deal with the car companies that they would have the user play some amount of the game with the cars how theyre meant to look

  • i started to cry in 0:29

  • i was really dissapointed in the visual effects.

  • @deggis4

Ignorant fall, dont you realise how technically good gt5 is and how much work has gone into this game and you do get very visible damge on both standard and premium cars when you level up enough.

For 30 quid you get over 30 tracks and 500 cars, now tell me what other game in any other genre provides this kind of value for money.I remember spending 69 quid on a import of ferrai challenge on the dreamcast with one type of car and sicx tracks, times have changed!!!!!!.

  • Euhmm... Those pictures at the end a real pictures of Ferrari's and the Gumball Rally Bump...

  • @MrCommentGiver Well, it seems you missed the joke...

  • @deggis4 hahahahahahaha

  • @porkinmycorkhole Damage is unlocked at level 20 and mechanical damage at 40... You will just have to wait mate.

  • it's a driving simulator not a crashing one?? well, i hate to break it to you but crashing a car is the effect of bad driving (sometimes good ), so what your saying is, GT5 does not simulate all aspects of driving, so it's not a full simulator. I'm loving the game so far but faboys are trying to defend it. they missed out an important feature, when I hit a wall at 100mph i wanna see some crumple, it takes away the realism.

  • @porkinmycorkhole "when I hit a wall at 100mph i wanna see some crumple, it takes away the realism."

Know what also takes away from the realism? The mangled to mush remains of the driver's body. Don't see any of you "realists" complaining about racing games lacking that feature. Which is why I consider Mafia II the most realistic driving game (despite it also being a 3rd person shooter) since, if you hit a wall at 100mph, you die.

  • @porkinmycorkhole

then go play mafia 2 or retarded NFS.

  • @storm2311 quit bothering me for a comment i made a month ago, if your totally blown away by the damage physics then you're easily impressed

i said i'm enjoying the game anyway, i just don't think the physics is accurate, if it wasn't a driving SIMULATOR i probably wouldn't think twice, but it is

  • @porkinmycorkhole at 100mph you're not gonna see some crumple, your car will be a right off!

  • @porkinmycorkhole Thank you. I'm tired of ppl defending this game's damage system. I've been wanting realistic damage on a GT game since the first Forza came out, but I'm not happy with what PD has done with regards to this on GT5. IMO they should have just nixed the damage modeling altogether and just worked on putting in some realistic mechanical damage.........then they could have spent their remaining time giving us 1000 PREMIUM cars.

  • @porkinmycorkhole That's due to car manufacturer restraints. Look it up if you will. You should be able to find it somewhere if you don't believe me.

  • why you all are that angry about it.. look at the year of this video.. its not gt5. xD Its more proluge or these HD version of 4 xD

  • @deggis4 exactly my point buddy

a game that is taking this long is worth waiting for

  • LOLOLOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLOLLOLLL

  • Lol even though I love GT I actually found this funny xD

  • GT is a real life driving simulated game. Everything about racing has to be implemented into a real driving simulated game like crashing effects ^ ^

When did they say they were going to release this 2 years ago. This game better past everyones expectations seriously.

  • No crash damage at all man if they are saying driving simulator so while driving you can crash and so that means its not the best driving simulator.

  • what did I just watch?

  • if only real life could be like games

  • @DiogoE6 You Mean: If Only Games Could Be Like Real Life

  • i dont want damage :S that will make for noobs who cares about crashes ? and it will make less cars that will take space for nothing

  • @thedarkside0007 Have you tried GT5P online? That is actually WORSE because there is no mechanical damage. If there were those "bump everyone out of the way" people would not be able to complete the race because they would end up stuck in the gravel trap with a lost wheel and a broken steering rack. With no damage they can just bump into you and use you to break so you end up in the gravel and they can just stay on track and continue and then you are stone dead last.

  • The Gt producers should make two versions. One for normal people that love to drive, and other for kids that love to crash.

  • @KriegBoy Or they could make just one version for people who understand that unintended crashing and mechanical damage is important part of racing. (And don't bring up that lame "it's a driving game" excuse, since 99.9% of the driving in the game is really racing.)

  • I really hope there is damage in gran tourismo it just ruins the game without it, I mean take the prologue......

  • They're ready, but they're lazy too.

  • Its not hard to make if lets say if u had unlimited resources of power .But to make a real life like damage is very complicated. It requires lots of power to be able to get calculate all those car parts to bend crash brake in real time. Consoles are limited but look at pc unlimited power and i never seen a racing game have real life like in real time car damage.

  • I can just imagine people taking advantage of the "Gliding along the walls technique" where you get your car going at 200mph and hugging the wall into a curve only to continue around the next corner unscathed, I really hope damage is sufficient enough so people don't start abusing that, but then again everything has it's pro's and cons. If damage is implemented accurately, then some guy behind me might ram my rear engine vehicle and fuck up my race, so it ends up a double edged sword anyways.

  • @TekkenTHABEST Yes, you might get hit, but at least the person causing the crash gets his car messed up too. Without damage, you can still get hit and sent into a wall or dirt, but the guy who hit you just used you as a break pad and keeps going. I'd much rather have realistic damage than not.

  • @theangrygimp Yeah that is unfortunately true for desperate racers, by the way, I didn't think outside the box of what would happen to the other driver....thanks bud!

  • GTA 4 has the best balance between car damage, body roll, traction, and mass

  • @KPKonliner if you are actually comparing gta 4 to the gt series in terms of cars, you are a sick, sick person.

  • @ClearSkyline I agree who in the world would say gta has better cars than gt5 4 a start they r fake on gta

  • @ClearSkyline Welcome to the United Channels of YouTube

  • @KPKonliner must be a joke, so lol....

  • @theangrygimp serious man, just becuz its not a racing game doesnt mean its not real

  • @KPKonliner The physics in GTA were never meant to be realistic, and if they used nearly enough calculations to make it close to reality, then the game would run even worse than it already does. No, GTA never had realistic physics for driving, they aren't even meant to be. I guess you don't drive yet to make that kind of judgment. I have raced in real life on a number of track days, and can say for certain, that GTA4's driving physics are not realistic in the least.

  • @theangrygimp i drive real cars n i can compare it with videogames

  • @KPKonliner So, do you drive cars like these? If so, can you tell me if you though the physics in the time trial demo were actually too realistic?

  • Sorry for sounding like a dumbass but what does PD mean?

  • @nascarvsf1 Polyphony Digital

  • @nascarvsf1 pedophile

  • seeing as it has taken almost 5 years to get the damn game to us, JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THE DAMAGE,i agree,it should have some, but i can sacrafice the damage for a quality game instead of a shitty game that has to be rushed due to the length of time it takes to create the damage modeling, i mean, look at GRiD, yeah, it has very good if not great damage modeling, but it only has like, what less than 100 cars, GT5 has almost 1000 cars, so you do the math, guess how long it'll take? forever!

  • @douggoud GRID has terrible damage modeling, it has great damage graphical effects but thats not the same thing. Damage modeling is the physical effects of damaging your car and the handling/engine problems it causes. If a tiny company like the guys who made Richard Burns Rally can do the amazing damage modeling that they did 6 years ago on a tiny budget, then why couldn't polyphony do it with the 60+ million they had? What makes dangerous activities exciting is the DANGER.

  • @theangrygimp actually, if its as you say, its damage modeling is great, and i was playing grid today, and i forget what happened, but the right rear tire of my car ended up almost at a 45 degree angle to here it is normally, which made the car basically undriveable, but yeah, tell me something, what did the graphics of the cars look like in tat game, and were they real cars, and how many of them were there, then tell me if you honestly think polyphony could do all that to 1000 cars in 5 years

  • @douggoud I do have grid. All the cars in Richard Burns Rally, GTR series, I-Racing, and Race series are real cars, and they get to be damaged to complete shutdown levels with actual performance damage. I would rather they just released the premium cars and spent the rest of the time on better physics/damage and more real life tracks. Only ~30 tracks isn't that many when split among 3 types of racing. I-Racing laser scans(Very time consuming) tracks and they have more real ones than GT5 will.

  • @theangrygimp like i said, HOW MANY CARS DO THEY HAVE? because the company that makes the game has to pay the manufacture to put the car in the game, and extra if they want to crumple the car, which with 1000 cars, is way more expensive than you, me, or anyone here can comprihend, but yeah, there are 40 locations, with over 120 variations, so technically, its 120 some tracks, just 40 locations, so, daytona, daytona infield, etc. how many iracing's have been released? 1, so they can add on to it

  • @douggoud When you think about how many damage models they need, its not really that many. There are only 6 variations to consider(front/rear/AWD, Front/Rear/mid engines). I can grantee you that even polyphony won't be modeling performance damage per car, even for premiums, when they didn't even model them all from scratch, since the Standards are just carried over from previous games. Also, I-Racing has been through several revisions, they just don't call it 1/2/3etc.. they just say "Update".

  • @theangrygimp the only thing is that you seem to think that all cars are modeled the same way, trust me, they arent, even if its just the 200 premium cars, iracing only had like, what 30 different cars? i looked up iracing before, and i checked the cars, its almost like live for speed, they really cant do the damage to the performance without paying the manufacture, this is an expensive thing, besides, gt5's damage will be fine in my opinion, i really didnt care for it, i just wanted real racing

  • I think a lot of you are underestimating how much work it is going to take to create each car. Lets say each car has 10 destructible parts, with there being a whopping 900 cars in the game that's 9000 models right there. If they create 5 alternate damage models for each part that shoots it up to 45000 models, if each has around a 5000 (conservative estimate) polycount, that's about 225 million triangles. That's why there is gonna be a 3 disk release. :D

  • @SICKMurderface Only about 200 will have full destructive panels and I think most people care about the physical problems caused by damage, not the visual effects. If people can use you as a breaking pad, sending you into a wall/off the course, you would want them to have just messed up their car physically, not be able to just drive on past like nothing happened (except scratches/dents). Without consequences to bad driving, people cheat far too often instead of trying to drive well.

  • If they could have 100% accurate crash modeling in this game and also the ability to change the settings to limit the damage to only visual instead of full damage...

This game will truly be EPIC.

I'm still buying it either way, though.

Gran Turismo is like... THE reason to own a PS3.

  • Do you think the companies that make these cars would allow PD to use them in their game if you could see them as a burning wreck?

  • @jayjjj3 Why do they allow EA, Microsoft and many other companies to wreck their cars?

  • @deggis4 They have something called a lot of money, PD doesn't have as much as them.

  • @jayjjj3 But PD doesn't pay the bills. Sony pays.

  • @deggis4 It doean't work like that. SCEI gives each of its 14 or so studios a chunk of money to keep them going. Then it has to go and fund PSN, the people who develop playstation, production etc. All it has to do this with is 10 billion dollars. EA gives each of their 7 studios a chunk of money from 4 billion, but the 7 studios are all it has Microsoft has just 7 studios and the xbox division, but a massive budget. Also PD has spent more than the entire budget of Halo 3, making it 2 most costly

  • @jayjjj3 You're going to have to me give a lot more accurate numbers before I believe PD is THAT much limited by budget because SCEI is not ready to pour money into Playstation's flagship franchise.

  • @deggis4 I just noticed that that is gt5p.

  • @jayjjj3 which is the 1 most costly?

  • @RcAntax GT5 is by far the one of the most expensive games ever produced and is only behind GTA 4.

  • @jayjjj3 Why not? Other game companies do. Look at Richard Burns Rally, Race series, GTR series, I-Racing, and so on.... All using real cars with full damage, and much smaller companies than Polyphony.

  • @theangrygimp Because they have to deal with a lot of them. They have to somehow keep every single manufacturer they are including happy.

  • @jayjjj3 You think that a single major manufacturer is left out of the Official Real LIFE GT/Touring car/Rally races? All major manufacturers and even lesser known ones are in those, and also the official games representing those races. I think its more a choice by Polyphony than anything, cause they didn't want damage ever, but sim fans were getting tired of zero consequences to wrecking, so they put in at least some now. Even though RBR is 6 years old, no one has come close to their damage.

  • @theangrygimp Real life is different. They enter those races to show how their technology is progressing and to research technologies to put into their street cars. A good example of this is Ferrari in F1. Also, the cars in RBR are race cars so they don't have that many restrictions. But, PD can't spend time making a different damage model based on how much every manufacturer allows, so they made 2, premium and standard.

  • @jayjjj3 Did you not just read my message thoroughly? I said those manufacturures are in the GAMES based on those racing leagues, too. GTR1/2, Race series, I-Racing, RBR, and others, with serious damage modeling and real licensed cars. They didn't do different damage models for premium and standard because of license issues, it was time constraints as they stated.

  • @theangrygimp They are still racing leagues with mostly if not all racing cars without restrictions on damage. And the time constraints mean they can't do specific damage models for every car. Ferrari could say they could only show a certain amount of damage on this car, etc. So they just generalized and put them in categories. Forza did the same thing.

  • Gran Turismo is otherwise a perfect game but it should have a perfect damages too!

  • funny

  • 5* for thumbs up

  • I totally understand taht they wasnt to make the racing realistic and not do too much to the crasheing. but then again, i feel great driving the car, it makes me seem like i am actually driving, but then again, if something goes wrong, and i crash, i would be pulled back into reality, because of its crash physics and non damage. so the dame and all is kinda a vital part of a racing game as well. jsut my point of view.

  • this is prologue jusrt for people to know not the actual thing

  • why post this crap?

  • @iaian001 Because internet would be a boring place without provocation.

  • When you race you sometimes crash so damage has to be a part of it. Racing can sometimes but not all the time equal crashing

  • This is Prologue FFs, the full game will have full damage.

  • he meant you crash a lot... lol.. i dont really crash much but sometimes i just wanna fucking go into a wall and fuck up the car just to see how it looks or anihilate the AI drivers.., so yeah its a huge let down not to have damage..

  • gt is driving not crashing simulator

  • @peka1950: That is completely moot point. 90% of the game involves RACING. Driving race-prepared cars on a racing track with other race-prepared cars = RACING. Crashing is part of racing. It is a consequence when racing goes wrong. Not to mention internal damage, technical reliability is even more important part of motorsport.

  • @deggis4 Yeah, but its already an amazing game, what else would you want from it, its fine as it is. They dont need damage simulations. Because if your good enought, you shouldent be crashing. Plus, the game ia just about racing, pure speed, crash damage would take away from that.

  • @peka1950

exactly, i think damage would be great but why does everybody want it so bad.

is everybody planning to crash really bad on GT5?

  • @HeadSm4ck yes!! realistic racing game means damage in it

  • @ronaldidho

i agree dude, it's just that IMO i'm more happy if they put more time in the racing simulation and have only little damage. then vice versa

  • @HeadSm4ck The satisfaction of winning because you DIDN'T crash. If there is proper damage then it's more of a challenge to play. Simple.

  • @JasonJJasonJ

    That is true.

  • @peka1950 thats why all the kids play forza and need for speed.

  • @peka1950 lol, but if it's crashes were better than forza you would make sure the world heard about it. Face it, graphics don't mean a thing if your physics engine cant back it up.

  • @peka1950 but stilll remains they said the damage was gonna be epic, but it is just bullshit, so, instead of acting like super programmers, do actually program some real damage, or at least be silent and don't just say things to make ppl think they will actually do something

  • im not all agree with you . In essential , Gturismo 5 should be a driving simulator but with a MAXIMUM realism . crashes gives the game more funny and realistic . I dont buy a game only for race, i buy a game for enjoy and get funny moments with it.

  • @peka1950 but the risk of crashing and ruining your car is a huge part of racing/driving

  • @peka1950 I wish it was.

  • @peka1950 you know physics apply to both driving and crashing? You can't have a good racing game without good physics.

  • @peka1950

    I agree

  • @peka1950 not really, its a driving simulator, and the point is to be real, so everything have to be real, including the damage

  • @peka1950 I have it too and it is the REAL driving simulator but its true they forgot the damage. Im not saying that it should be like the drunk nitro cars like nfs but htey should had put some damage

  • @peka1950 But it still is a Simulator and "Simulators" Need to be realistic so there is damage

  • This is why i stop'd playing GT-serie just because lack of damage made it unrealistic.

  • They didnt add damage into the prologue version. But it will be in GT5.''Gran Turismo 5 will be the first game in the GT franchise to include both mechanical and external damage modeling, including a real-time deformation engine that will process model deformation according to the speed and angle of impact.Damage can be also turned off. Racing cars are set to feature more advanced damage, while production cars will only receive scratches and mechanical damage.''GT 5 will come before christmas 2010.

  • @laurigun1: reads like a copy-paste from a Sony press release... ;)

  • @deggis4 So if u dont like either game....then why make a video about it? Its like making a fucking Coconut cake for urself when u dont like coconut...

  • @spcoulson: Answer is simple... successful provocation = enjoyment.

  • ...no, its kinda sad really. Go make a vid for something u actually care about haha

  • You are a fucking retarded putting videos to make gran turismo looking like that. Im a gran turismo fan from gran turismo 1 so shut the fuck up man and play the stupid forza xbox noob.

gran turismo 5 will be released maybe from a month or summer because its not Need for speed ! NFS games take like 6 months to be done and they are all fake. Forza has how much cars? 300 ? or 200? Gran turismo lol has 1000.... Forza has damage and damage and damage. Oups gt5 has too now ? Oh my god...

  • forza has 400+ cars and still adding on and you cant make your own paintjobs on this can you. yes it has more cars yes graphics are better but in forza you can do so much more than just race

and dont reply to this saying all this n that because im not trying to start and argument im just saying both games are good basicly

some spelling mistakes i know but cant be arsed to correct my self lol

  • i can see what u mean how forza lets you personlise ur car a bit more but gt is better for the stock cars. Gt are really putting there time into it.

  • yer i supose but one that i am sure of is that the makers of this game will sell fuck loads more copies than forza 3 lol

  • The damage effects on need for speed undercover are better.

  • @Romantase

What are you talking about ????

This is Gran turismo prologue damage has not been there yet. That is 2007 dont be stupid dude. Damage feature yet has not been done !!!

  • I feel like being stupid, so yeah, need for speed has better damage effects.

  • Firstly,

GT builds the cars to upmost accuracy (using Autodesk Aliasstudio/Maya) whereas games like Forza reach 90% (IMO the most obvious example is the front end of the 911 Turbo in Forza) This allows them to have 'damage' which is also unrealistic.

  • Secondly, your point (as a reason for not doing damage) makes absolutely no sense.

  • @deggis4 Let me paraphase. Its the manufacturers that do not allow GT to let players destroy their pretty cars. Forza cheats it a bit by not building the models perfectly, then having those parts break off and stuff. For example look at the front end of a 911 Turbo in Forza and in real life.

  • How manufacturer's "no-nos" relate to the accuracy of the car models?

  • i still respect the fact that they won't add damage untill its authentic.

but does that mean they need to crash every car in the game in real life to work out what happens to it in a crash?

  • Why would they need to crash every car in the world?

  • Hahhahaha so funny :DDD great video

  • come on man , its a game , i think ITS VERY HARD TO MAKE

  • look at Colin McRae Rally. they did a pretty darn good job

  • what cmr part? i mean for what console , exact name plz

  • xbox, CMR 2005

  • Dude just get a life and get over it!

If you want to brag about 'promises' and 'damage' and seeing that you know all about the sort, go make the game yourself! Get around 70 -140 workers, find a workplace get over 100 computers, set yourself a dedicated server. Go around the world taking pictures of cars in full 720 angles asking for copyright agreement on all the 950+ cars, then work on those cars which have over 450 000 polygons on average, then again with the tracks. For 5 years, then talk.

  • Do you work for Polygon or something? "Shut up or make your own game", probably the most moronic counterargument ever. You know what? Film critics don't make movies.

  • That's Polyphony, get it right and no I do not work for em, but I am a 3D Artist and animator and if I really wanted to make the most perfect Driving Simulator I would do it.

By the way, those critics also, I wonder who you are refferring to. Past-Time Actors or Past-Time directors, or people on a website who calls themselves critics without no experience to it.

Know what? 'Real' critics actually have experience in that area. Public forum Critics are just people who view their thoughts.

  • I only now noticed the "Polygon". Even more so because I do know the correct name I don't understand how did I manage to write it like that. Blackout.

Film critics... just film critics who might be journalists for example, but not ex-actors or ex-directors.

I'm a gamer and I am sharing my view but apparently I am not allowed to do that unless I create my own driving game first. That was the analogue.

  • What you are implying is NOT a view on the game, more like a rant. A view of GT5 is more like, the engine sound is crap the tyre noise is annoying, I like the interior, overall gameplay is good but quickly gets boring for me etctec

My view is, I dont care if it has damage or not, I just like driving.

Implying that Polyphony 'promised' damage and saying that they have NOT delivered is a rant, besides the game hasn't even yet released. But your implying the damage isn't in there.

  • "...more like a rant."

So after all, I am allowed to rant without first creating my own driving game?

    "...I just like driving."

I like consequences when I fail at the driving part.

"implying the damage isn't in there."

You are implying the damage IS there. So far they have shown visible damage on three cars (all of which where WRC rally cars, not normal road cars). Until they properly demo damage on road cars, I keep my skepticism.

  • HAHAHAHA THATS TOTAL SHIT XD

  • it's time for you to delete this video

  • The time to do that is when I see a Ferrari F430 (read: any road car but not a race or rally car) damaged in the game. So far, they have shown two cars getting damaged. Long way to go to reach the total amount of 1000 cars.

  • @deggis4

Wrong. You should read OPM february 2010 issue: ALL the cars will have damage (mechanical and aesthetic). Race cars will have even MORE realistic damage with dents and parts coming off. Go to gtplanet also.

  • I've read OPM. I even posted a comment about it here - only 24 hours ago. That article doesn't change anything. They have promised damage already before that. So far, they have shown damage on two or three cars, if I remember correctly. All those two or three cars were WRC rally cars.

  • @deggis4

having damage doesnt necessairly mean parts coming off (carlos mencia's voice "duhduhduh"). The article doesnt change anything? So weather confirmed, night photos shown, OVER than 1000 cars confirmed, IRL added etc dont change anything either? LOL@you "duhduhduh"

  • We were talking about damage. The article did not change the previous promise regarding damage. "Duhduhduh" at you.

  • @deggis4

The article ADDED promises about damage, so did gameblogdotfr duhduhduh at you. I dont know whats your problem

  • My problem is that according to promises, the damage should have been there since GT2.

  • @deggis4

then you really have a problem because

    1) nobody talked about damage in 1999 (and GT2 HAD some mechanical damage btw)

    2) you know, since it's in your own video, that yamauchi said he didnt want to implement damage for a damn good reason

  • @hardvibes: 1) not sure if it was ever "officially" promised but ever since GT1 it has been "in the air".

    2) simplified damage > no damage at all

  • @deggis4

    1) in the air by the fans. Not even nfs had it.

    2) it's not up to you.

  • All cars will have damage, Production cars will get dented and effect the driving but Racing cars will have their parts fall off and interior damage. Kaz confirmed this in a interview in January 2010.

  • What interview? That info seems to conflict with Playstation magazine's (Jan 2010) article. It said all cars would have interior damage too.

Notice I said "would". I find it intriguing that they still have not demoed damage on any other car than on two or three WRC cars. And the game is supposed to be 90% ready...

  • It was Gamespot UK with KY - 28 Sep 2009. my bad. What's so intriguing about them only showing damage on a few cars? lol. It's not like they"re going to show the whole game to us.

  • Not even on few, but on three cars which all happends to be WRC rally cars.

If (indeed, it's still "if" for me) damage is going to appear on all of the 1000+ cars, would there be a better way to demo damage than a huge NASCAR pile up? Lets just say it is slightly suspicious. Especially when the game is supposed to be "90% finished".

  • Yeah damage is on all cars. And its over 950 cars. lol suspicious. You must crash a lot, you're pretty crazy about damage.

  • @deggis4

and what's the big deal with having a f430 totally wrecked? Get over it. Not even in forza 3 you can have that because of MANUFACTURERS. I own the game and only a few brands have parts coming off...the audi r8 only has scratches and some dents.
