  • **HANDS UP HIGH**

  • oh man, so good

  • Eyehate, I love all those too, man+++++

You da bomb on that music shit!

  • What? Not gonna hold on, now that's an album cut. Only a fan who had the album would know about that joint. I'm impressed. You must be a real Kellz fan to know about that one.

But yeah, I feel everything you're sayin. Gay Z sucks ass and Usher and JT are basically doublemint twins. But I do gotta disagree about TI. I'm not a fan, but to me he made that song better.

  • ahhhhh lol, "doublemint twins". thats true, but justin made them that way...Usher did everything that makes them two-shade twins before justin copied it + confused the public on who did what first or for that matter...better.

To me, even as an avid anti-justin music listener, T.I. fucked that shit up (My Love),(Eyehate is right on the money!)...NOW, T.I. was INCREDIBLE on "I'm a Flirt" on the otherhand!!!

Whatchu think of Keri Hilson, Trey Songz, T-Pain, Plies + the Groups Diddy got on tv?

  • ...helll, all Neyo, Chris Brown, Rihanna to that last part.

Whatever happened to Carl Thomas and Avant...and that male RnB group "Ideal"? (I luv v v ved that song "Whatever You Wanna Do"....whether its at the crib/its all up to you ah ah...lmao). The early 2000s were fun in music..fun in general, but that had alot to do with the music!

  • Oh believe me I know JT bit Usher's style. I remember Usher from back in the day. I used to love that joint Can u get wit it. I think Devante produced it. That was back in 94-95. I liked Usher's music more back then than I do now. I don't really follow his career that much anymore. He's gone pop. He's like the male Beyonce.

I like Trey Songz, I've only heard a few songs from him, but I like his style. I think Kellz is one of his influences.

  • Yea, I'm feelin Trey Songz! JT is Crushers SHADOW - he cant fuck wid crusher! U-S-H-E-R has gone pop...but not til this Here I Stand bullshit...the 3 CDs before then were landmarks+++

He's the male Beyonce, true. But theyre the ones everybody has modeled their self after whether the ppl admit it or not.

Devanteeee that man was bad wit the beats (worked wit Pac++), I didnt know pretty boyz had talent?!?!

oh yeah, sweetheart, BabyX5 was actually a single. I luv those songs TOO! Peace.

  • I lost interest in Usher after the MY Way album. Usher is kinda overrated to me. He didn't really start selling until the contoversy over his break up with Chilli. Usher may be the bigger name, but I've always prefered Tyrese and Ginuwine over Usher. Like I said, he's too pop. They're more R&B, more soulful.

I didn't know Babyx5 was a single. I've never seen the video for that one. I gotta go look for that on RKellytv.

  • LOL...he was just gettin started on My Way..U BEEN done widim, haha

I dont think he's overrated, to me, he's underrated...when people get too many copycats...they suffer unappreciation in the moment of time, but later on, he'll get more + more recognition in retro.

gyrl, 8701 sold 8 million copies when it was out, eventually 10-11 X platinum. Thas only Lk 5 or 6 LESS million than Confessions CD sold. Chilli got mics in his face + cameras too...that CD was destined to be a Monster either way!

  • Yeah, I lost interest in Usher a loooong time ago. I think I was in high school when My Way was out lol. Like I said, I don't really follow his career so I don't know what his sales are, but the Confessions album seemed to recieve a whole lotta hype that I don't remember him getting before that.

  • I don't have anything against Usher, he's just not my cup-o-tea. I just happen to think he gets all the hype when there are people who are just as talented who get no props. Tyrese is a better singer, Ginuwine is a better dancer, and they both make better music in my personal opinion. But I'm not mad at Usher. He's doing his thing, so I ain't hating on him.

  • I hear ya, baby. But He's one of My all-time favorites though++, CR-USHER'S up there with Michael, R.kelly + Prince for Me!!

I used to like Tyrese alot in high school as a teen, but he's a fake musician - he toooo interested in acting for my taste in a musician... the greats dont treat their music as a night job like he does...an I LIKE him as an actor n all, but-

...No way he's a better singer than Usher - he has a different voice (possibly stronger), but I hear nothing better Live fr/him

  • What??? Up there with MJ, Kellz, and Prince? Yeah we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on Usher. I'm just not seeing all that lol. I'll never understand when people compare Usher to Kellz, let alone Marvin Gaye, Prince or the other legends. Does Usher even write his own shit? I know he don't play no instruments. To me, he's more of a performer than a musician. There's nobody in the game on Kellz level except for maybe Babyface and Brian McKnight.

  • oh yeah, I 4got D'Angelo, but I ain't heard from him in a while. And on the female side Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys, but I ain't heard from LH in a minute either. They all sing, write, produce, and play instruments. True musicians.

  • No one can embody Marvin Gaye, so whoever compared him to Marvin made they self a Ass with that comparison! WTF!

I find your putting Brian McKnight on R.KELLYS level equally insulting!!!

Babyface is understandable and fair...his talent, his contributions, and his success are all balanced and add-up to make THAT "prop-up" feezible++

    Lauren's a Genious++++

Alicia's great too, but not as great as she's made to be - GIMME A FUCKIN BREAK (not you, THE PUBLIC) lol.

    D'Angelo's nice, but...

  • ...LoL baby, I mute the song now (you?)LMAO.

I'm tempted 2 lead U over to I'll Never Leave or Bump N Grind remix...I's gettin to the point where I'm gonna forever think of a shorty I converse to on the 'net whenever I hear this...and Ive done some memorable tha-ah-ahhangs 2 this song already. ah ahahahaha

D'Angelo is not accessible enough 2 speak of in same breathe as R. or nobody! There are plenty of women talented Lk Alicia, except the packaging - their looks or their "sound"- dont fit.

  • ...like Angie Stoe, India Irie, etc etc

But I agree, thats senseless to compare CRUSHER to R.Kelly or Marvin Gaye!!

Usher is a ppl person (contrary to legend or belief), and he can do things on his own, but he chooses to make magic thru collaborations like with his long + successful partership with JD - where was that on this resent CD?? all of Ushers Big, BIG chart-buster hits were written/produced either in-part or totally by Jermaine Dupri. But Ushers comfused now...he went 2 Tim? WTF!!

  • Usher's working with Timbaland now? I'm a huge Tim fan. He produced for my girl Aaliyah back in the day, Gin 2. I loved his sound, so innovative and creative. I was never a big JD fan, but I like his older stuff with Brat and Xscape. I guess that's why I never got into Usher. His music is so bland and generic to me. Yeah was annoyin, and had annoying ass Lil Jon on it. I didn't even like my boo and I love Alicia Keys. I just see Usher as overrated and way overhyped.

  • Timb was really fresh in the 90s but he fell off when he started working with all deez white people - Bjork, Nelly furtado, Justin, etc...

He doesn't even create that stuff you hear - maybe back then with Gin, Missy + Aaliyah, but not now...its a video (on youtube actually) that shows where he's ripping those tracks from (he only adds drums on top of someone elses finished product and remixes it...doesnt pay copyrights or anything).

J-D'S DA MAN!!! - his contributions are IMMEASURABLE++++

  • Timbaland? A beat biter? I remember he and Missy used to get mad at other people for biting their shit lol. I'm gonna have to look for that video. I don't know who Bjork and Nelly Furtado are, but he's probably just trying to broaden his style/fanbase. Most R&B and hip hop artists cross over to the "white" side at some point, for that mainstream appeal. I haven't heard anything from Tim in a while, I don't really listen to the radio anymore, but his sound was HOT in the 90s.

  • Nice to get a msg from U.. yeah Timothy bites big-time. I was disturbed, because I know how innovative he was in his youth and all

I'll send video to ya. Yea, I went thru yrs of not listening to the radio...I'm still dont, except like "talk radio" sometimes. But you dont go to clubs?, thats still sort of a radio in a way, but I only go to clubs when I dont got shit to do privately, friends/cousins got plans of their own and I dont, THATS WHEN I GO TO DA CLUB.40% ...I'm not club-crazy anymore.

  • LOL I go to the comments page. It's easier to follow the conversation that way 2.

I know right. You can find me on any R video, so we can just keep it going lol.

D hasn't been around long enough and isn't consistent enough to be compared to Kellz, but he's talented enough.

It's all about marketing. That's why Usher and Beyonce sell like they do. It's not that there necessarily more talented. Look at Amel Larrieux, she sings circles around Beyonce, but who gets all the hype?

  • LOL I'm almost sure I read that in Vibe or somewhere (Ush/MG comparison) and I know I've heard his fans claim he's the Marvin of his generation. I don't get that, but ok.

Not many in the game are on Kellz level, but given the choices, I think Face and BM are probably closest.

I love AK. Yes, she's over hyped by the media, but I think it has to do with the fact that she, unlike other artists in her age group (Beyonce, Ciara, Ashanti, etc.), writes her own songs and plays an instrument

  • lol, yeah I remember Tyrese in the My Way "play" (was almost like a play).

I mean Ushers up there wit MJ, Prince and R. for me (if you re-read that where I typed that you'l understand what I mean). Theyre all four in My top 5/10 all-time, also with Stevie, Aaron Hall + others.

Brian Mcknight disgusts me with the prasie he gets - he doesnt do anything special, but SING...if he does his own music, HE SHOULD STOP!!! Cuz it aint comin across THAT well..copying J.E. + everyone else, at times...

  • You mean he's one of your top favorites? If so my bad. I misunderstood

Brian McKnight seems underrated to me. I hardly hear anything about him. He writes, sings, plays instruments. I don't know if he produces tho. He was out b4 JE. I'm not a fan, but I give props where there due. I still love One last Cry. I respect artists who play a role in their music instead of just singing what someone gave them. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Aaliyah didn't write/produce and I love her.

  • Yup, he's in my personal favorites all-time along with Kelly, Prince, "Micko" etc...

ah'know BM <-lol was out before J.E. bu he has still hit em up on they shit before...you know that one when he's like "I dont give a damn about what My homies say..." THATS "LET'S GET MARRIED'S" Melody, and it pisses me off that he couldnt come up with his own rhythym for that Bullshit!!!

Also, ev v v v-re body always wanna bring up who plays instruments, who writes they own lyrics..okay BM + JT does...

  • ...Now, the second question is: But how good are they at it!!!? If theyre not virtuosic at those tasks, THEY SHOULDNT GET ENORMOUS PRAISE FOR IT...it shouldnt even be mentioned in the argument as it so often is!

I can understand A. Keys - she's overwhelmingly good at what she does (as far as technical skills and melody goes...she makes em all sound good+

So wassup, you all good? i's like I know ya a lil bit now..rofl

Oh yeah, I always ask any Kelly fan on or offline this...

  • whats better Choc factory or TP-2.C0M ?

    Thas a hard 1

Also, I think you already said the 1995 cd is your fave...but to me his swag went to pluto on the albums when he has the braids...lol

  • "Yeah" is legendary... Usher's soooo good, he sells his songs thru his videos... he toned down the dancing but still went wild in that Yeah video.. great song either way...JD didin produce that...its was LiL Jons joint which is why he was on the song...atleast we agree on KELLY-

  • TP-2 is still my favorite R. Kelly album. I like him with the braids too, but he was smooth with the bald head. It seems like his personality changed too around 2000. He used to be so quiet and kept to himself back then and just worked on his music. I remember he didn't even hardly do interviews. It was hard to find anything about him back then.He never really fucked with the media tho. I actually thought he was shy lol. I guess he came out of his shell cause he be wildin out now lol.

  • He did switch it up all together in 2G, that was a great, great time, BTW!! musically? Oh My+++

I dont know if you like Lyfe Jennings, but I assume U do maybe? ..but his latest song Never, Never Land reminds me of the 2000-2002 "sound". Shit was kinda different back then, summertime was more exciting...mm I dont know, maybe its just me.

Kellz came out hard as hell...had so many HITS...nevemind remixes... I agree, TP-2. is my fave, Choc Fac is prob better tho, but I still hum "RnB Thug"...

  • ...I used to B obsessed w/his song-writing...still am, I just know it too well now. Just the way he sang/wrote I Wish rmx : "Its so EZ for folks to say Rob just live on/When I'm dyin every second that youre gone/Nevertheless I try my best to be strong/Hopin you said your prayers before U went on home/ We done stood on these blocks and just shot-the-breeze/We slap rocks dead in the middle of the Street/And if a fight broke out you would take up for me/Now all I have left is these ghetto memories"

  • *INCREDIBLE* he's a legends of legends!!!!

  • I don't think the media gives Kellz credit as a writer. They always wanna criticize his sexual lyrics. I was reading some reviews of Double Up and they were talking about the lyrics of Sex planet and the Zoo. They don't know that in the 90s he was writing for Luther Vandross, Toni Braxton and The Winans. He didn't get mainstream attention cause the media didn't know him then. It's a shame, but the white media only became interested in R Kelly after he caught a case.

  • @badgyrl310 I totally agree they dont give him credit. My fiance' and I talk about that all the time.

  • I remember when TP2 came out. I was in college and listened to it everyday. I played that album so much, my roommate went out and bought her a copy. She was like now I can jam too lol. I think I increased Kellz record sales on the ULM campus cause damn near everybody on my floor had a copy of the album. I remember people bumpin Feelin on ya booty all the time.

  • ...Plus Usher has hi/lo singing skills, I have never heard Tyrese belt a high note...you gotta do both hi + lo... not all the TIME (Smiles), but atleast as much as David Ruffin or da R.

Tyrease got a wonderful church voice+++, but it aint really audible.

"GINUWINE A BETTER DANCER THAN CRUSHER"?!?

G, who I DO LIKE, is nowhere neeear Usher from dancing or performing and I understand da ladies fondness of G., but Gnwn cant fuck wit Usher Raymond...He's a wild boy too (but I dont C that 1).

  • That's why I put Usher in a category with Tyrese and Ginuwine. They're all on the same level, I just happen to prefer the other 2. Usher to me is just a mix of MJ and Bobby Brown. Tyrese has a lower range than Usher, that's why, but the boy can blow. I can see vocally comparing him to Kellz. I remember when Ty was in Ush's My Way video, I was like she crazy. I'd take Ty over Ush any day lol. Maybe it's a female thing. Same for Ginuwine, I just prefer his style.

  • continued

T Pain to me need to sit down somewhere. He is so overrated. I know I'm in the minority here cause he's so popular, but I just don't think the dude can sing. To be honest, I don't really pay attention or keep up with Diddy's ever changing group of the moment when he's trying to make a band. None of them ever seem to do anything anyway. The only song from Neyo I like is so sick. It has nothing to do with R. Kelly, but I never really got into Neyo. I liked Avant and Carl Thomas too.

  • I love this song and I love the way TOre put the lyrics on here.....i miss my cd....damn what could have happen to it.....hummmmm

  • I swear I wish to god this was an R.kelly solo album cut!!! ...i cannot posibly be alone on that one?

  • Agreed, but I've never been all that big on jay z anyway. Kellz is the only reason I really bothered with the best of both worlds, but I feel ya. This song and Naked would fit right in on any solo R. Kelly album.

  • yeahit would fit righ in with any R kelly song+++

  • yo this was the batman and robbin of the music industry. the best duo since run and darryl mac, wish their egos could have conincided cuz i played this album till the cd actually players said" we aint playing this shit no more!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this album this song comes from sucks booty, wtf are you talking about???

I understand the first one from early early 2000s was great, but the return unfinished biz or whatever, sucked - I gave it away!!

  • I personally liked the Unfinished Business album better than the original BOBW, even tho they basically just remixed a lot of the songs from the original album. My favorite from the album hands down is Don't let me die tonight. RK's verses are so deep on that one. I love it.

  • The first one is better to me-

LoL I'm getting jealous you were talkin to me first... EyeOnly was just talkin on another video today... he stealin you with his know-it-all ass. You right tho, he's a fool for knowin about "Not Gonna Hold On" - Thas sum grown up shit...and some true fan shit also, as you said (Hey, I know and love it too, I was 13 at the time and like BabyX5 and "I Cant Sleep" better @ the time). Youre really cool shawty+++ ..You too Eyehate!

    I love any Kellz fan.

  • Oh yeah Babyx5 that's another abum cut. I always loved that one. My favorites from that album were Religious love and Tempo slow. Oh and Trade in my life and Step in my room. That album got a lot of classics on it. It's been cool talking to you too. Like I told a girl yesterday, with him having so many haters, it's always good to meet another R. Kelly fan. Anybody who got love for Kellz is alright with me.

  • so so smooth! produced by trackmasters!!!

  • This that type of song that'll make you make some sexy memories with.

  • im up for it :p

  • man thats smooth, nice post TOre

  • thankks alot! <3

  • i cant sing but ima let mah man smooth it for ya . .

  • strung off your treble and im high as shit. lol. Love it

  • You know Jay part was about Beyonce.

    LOL! SPRUNG!

    I wonder if they ever.....?

  • The best song R.Kelly & Jay-Z made together...and one of my favorites!!!

  • Beautiful Song Kells

  • ohh man thats chill..

  • nice song!!

reminds me of someone... :D :D

  • this is my shit thank you!!!!!

  • i love you video because this is my song

    thanks
