I'm glad I didn't go to this concert. I almost came back from the beach early to go. They sound like a garage band version of themselves. And The Dan is like in my top five bands. Is it the drummer. And does Donald sound like his heart is in this? It's like he's throwing stuff out there and seeing what sticks. Stick to the script, Donny.

Keith Carlock's a great player but I can't help thinking he's not really the right guy for this gig. Ricky Lawson lays it down perfectly for these guys I think, somehow Carlock doesn't quite cut it. Great to see Freddy Washington on bass though!

They were both out Bar-hoppin after a Gig and a little "Lit Up" as it were.,( AND, Not quiet decided upon an "Official" Name for their group ). Anyway, en-route to the next Bar, which they mistakenly thought through their anebreation was a Strip-Club, ( It was an Adult Porn & Toy Shoppe ). Supposedly, they both catch a case of the giggles after realizing what they stumbled into. As a "Cover," one of em grabs the Largest "D" .....con'td...

Fagen's vocals, as usual, are very questionable. However, he did much better on this song than he did on some of the others I've heard. Great post.

Thanks Carlos, I Have been a fan of Steely Dan since after they were signed in those days of Reeling in the Years & Rikki, having seen them play a local club in Brooklyn NY called Pop Eyes. Since these guys only recently began to tour as a unit again, much to my frustration this song was not on their play list the few times I caught them live. You captured them so well It was like being there front row. Thanks Again.
