@BoloDelta1 That was the USS Oriskany. They sank her in the Gulf of Mexico about 20 miles off the coast of Florida as an artificial reef. Plenty of video here on Youtube about it.

It's the American Star. It was bought, and being towed and was going to be turned into an ocean liner. But it wrecked, and they left it where it wrecked.

It was there for years. Eventually rusting and falling away. It's no longer there. It's now rusted into pieces on the ocean floor.

Uh, then you read the wrong ship. The American Star was bought, and meant to be turned into a floating hotel (I thought it was to be another ocean liner). When it ran aground, it was estimated to cost more to pull off and fix than it's purchase price. So the owners abandoned it.

The history is available. The ship was renamed during her life, so I think you might have read the wrong ship.

The one at 00:25, the half of one, is the American Star. It was known as the America during it's life, and was renamed by the purchasers before it was wrecked.

@Draknfyre u are 100% right! my appoligies! belive it r not, i comment wrongly here. yes, that ship is always on most ship wreck videos, and i often woundered the history of it, u educated me here! i messed up here and by looking at different videos, got confused! the 1 that i was on about was the 1 that u can see a line going out to it to blow it up! it was sank on pourpos to creat a man made reif! sorry for the confusion. ALL MY FAULT!

No problem. Yes, it's on alot of videos, because it's pretty famous, It sat there for like 13-14 years before it finally fell in the ocean. Unfortunately locals stripped it pretty clean after it wrecked, and 8 people I have read died from trying to get on it/dive on it.

@Draknfyre did u no that the sister wreck of the titanic is off the coast of ireland here? our thick stupid government wouldnt allow any dives ect till latley! but thats our thick igronant govrtnment 4 ya! its not far down and in very good shape! they recon that it is the real titanic coz titanic wasnt reddy in time and the let the lusitiana out in place of the titanic! my next door neighbour worked in the docks in belfast 4 47 years! hes 70 now, but i love the stories that he tells me

@MrMrliamo dude, the Titanic is in the North Atlanic ocean 2 and a half miles down and it sank in april 15,1912 at 2:00 in the morning, the britannic however was taken down by a ww2 mine. and the the olyimpic, was sold for scrap after a decade of use.

White Star ships were; Olympic, Titanic and Britanic.

Cunard's ships were: Lusitania, Mauretania and Aquitania.

It's Eduard Bohlen, one of the most famous wrecks in Namibian Desert. As somebody said before sea had retreated about 100 meters since the time of disaster.

@AK47COMBAT It's not the dessert, it's a beach which sometimes grow with the passage of time because tides move sand towards the coast, it doesn't happen overnight, it takes decades but it happens, that's what happened in Mount St.Michel in France, it used to be an island and now you can walk to it. In other instances if there's a mine near the coast tons of sand must be moved and the ship might be covered then discovered years later, I read National Geographic every other day.
