  • those people deserved to die. who walks into a random house.

  • As if you needed a reason not to walk into a stranger's house

  • The first time i see this, WTF!

  • 0:39 Epic tap dancing

  • this movie will shock 40 yrs from now

  • 0:33 nice dance, bro

  • when he hit kirk in the head i heard a crunch

  • press 7 8 and 9 and create a little beat.

  • I love how this scene comes out of nowhere! When I first saw it I was really creeped out!

  • .....I shat a brick wall..

  • I've always wanted a stainless steel door in my house just like that one!

  • 0:34 ...Holy fuck. That was realistic for a 70's movie...I mean, Did you hear that "Crunch"? :o

  • @milesprowerTV

Even though I understand your point, I don't really like the qualifier "...for a 70's movie..." That was realistic by any definition. Today they have more tools at their disposal, but back in the day, it took true ingenuity to pull something like this off. I miss good movies.

  • Can anyone explain why Kirk starts to have a seizure on the ground once he gets hit by that hammer.

  • @sadieviction

The sledgehammer shattered a part of his skull, driving shards of bone into his brain, causing muscular spasms. The brain operates the body, and when you do some sudden, severe damage like that, it's like a short circuit. He wasn't even conscious, it was neural signals to the body going haywire. It's like when you wreck a car and the horn won't stop blowing or the windshield wipers won't shut off.

  • I'd like to know how the "Sawyers" fill out their day when they have nobody to kill. What do they do when they have time to just hang out?

  • @Leatherbubba

    They probably just hang out.

  • Damn Pam is hot

  • TCM is from the 70s

  • I love this scene so much. When he slams the door, it's a pretty kickass 'Shit just got real' moment.

  • What were the sounds before he met Gunnar?

  • @HateFenians

Leatherface can't talk. When he gets excited he just grunts and squeals, sounding like a pig. He is home alone, and a trespassor shows up. He is actually scared, because a stranger is in his home. Since he can't talk, he just jibbers, and sometimes it sounds like pig grunts.

  • ahhh that noise fuck it gives me the chills

  • Im not a huge horror movie fan, but this death just sticks in your head (no pun intended!) absolutely brutal, love leatherface's noises and the noise of the steel door is epic!

  • Eek!!!!

    *Boom, goes the skull*

  • omg. that sound right after Leatherface shuts the door ,always gaves me the chills down my spine :s

  • The Texas Chainsaw Massacre isnt one of the best horror films, ever. Its one of THE best films, ever.

  • like a pig

  • when the door slams, it's just creepy. fucking creepy.

This is the moment of the movie that pulled me in.

  • Pam was such a hottie.

  • @RmFrRifleman

    She's very pretty, I agree.

  • 0:36... scrunch

  • this really is the most disturbing and sceriest horror movie ever. Well actually The Exorcist is the scariest movie ever, and the texas chain saw massacre got second place.

  • @gunnari14

    First and second place.

  • LOOK AT HIM DANCE!!! HA ha ha!

    Right in the sweet spot!

  • LOOK AT HIM DANCE!!! HA ha ha!

    Right in the sweet spot!

  • LOOK AT HIM DANCE!!! HA ha ha!

    Right in the sweet spot!

  • click this to go straight to the CRUNCH! --> 0:34

  • HEY, PAL! : p

  • That'll probably teach him never to randomly go in someone's house.

  • what does leatherface do to you besides kill you?PLZ RESPOND

  • Take off your skin an use it as a mask ....oh and he collects eyeballs , ears , and fingers....

  • @kakashilego

He was trained by the family to be a killing machine. That was his purpose, all brawn and no brain.

  • Take that you LSD taking pot smoking tree hugging hippie douche bag!

  • i like how realistic this is!

he is like having a seizure and suffering bad

  • basic tip: in a terror movie, if you enter a house and hears strange moans, RUN AWAY AND DON´T LOOK BACK, DAMMIT!

this one is between my favourite terror movies ever, along with stephen king´s IT, the shinning (even though that´s not exactly a horror movie) and the ring.

  • @Mrbolinea the shining was actually a very weird movie i saw the movie a few days ago, and i didnt fully understand how jack got the shining.

  • one of the best movies of all time is the texas chainsaw massacre. it gives me chiils when he slams the door

  • Leatherface slams the door like he was cutting the audience with a knife.

  • i love the "kirk" bit at the end, i mean when you watch the actual thing it follows on but in this its asif shes saying it cause he did something wrong :L

"DAMMIT KIRK I TOLD YOU NOT TO GO IN THERE"

  • oh my god, what a classic scene and movie! makes me jump every time!

  • I still get chills when that door slams O_O

  • When the door slams shut, that always resonated a deep horror in me.

    All time best horror film.

  • where abouts does he hit him?

  • Where abouts did IT hit him lol

  • yeah thats what i meant

  • lol

  • morbid scene, the most morbid scene in any movie ever made, in my opinion. tops anything saw or hostel can create. ill always remember this scene, because of the terror when kirk and leatherface "meet" in the doorway. its just spine chilling. and the sound after the steel slaughterhouse door closes.... freaking terrifying.

  • @evrgrnn5280 Go see Martyrs, right now. Most intensely morbid film I've ever seen. Saw and Hostel aren't even in the same stratosphere.

  • No matter how many TCM films are made, they'll never top Kirks death scene,I mean that sound it makes when the hammer bash's his head and then that rumbling sound effect after leatherface pulls the door shut.

  • This scene always got me. It was out of nowhere. It was also realistic considering Kirk having a seizure due to the trauma.

It proves that you don't have to throw blood at the audience in order to create a good scare.

  • This kill scene is what made the movie so memorable. That sound that hammer made when Leatherface hit Kirk was, intense.

  • one of the best scenes ever!

i love these no nonsens kills!!!

  • lol i love this scene!

  • Me to not gore makes a death good the thing that makes a death good is to make you jump out of your seat!

  • @80sSlasherFan there's such a thing as periods and commas.
